Cassidy Rae Knippenberg, 17 loving years of age, became Our Gift to God on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio following complications from an accident. Cassidy was God?s Gift to Us on August 4, 2000 at Claridon Township, Ohio the sweetest daughter of Daniel H. and Catherine ( Pierce) Knippenberg, Jr.
Presently in her senior year, she had been a lifelong resident of Hiram and Middlefield areas, and was employed at Mary Yoder?s in Middlefield at the time of her passing. God provides many special people in our World, and Cassidy was one of those. As a Sunday school teacher for her home school, she was devoted to helping all children, often taking them for rides on her UTV, and always using the car seat when needed. A young woman who was full of life, Cassidy will forever be remembered for her infectious smile, the gleam in her eyes, and her unique sense of humor. Her time with all who had the pleasure of knowing her will always be cherished, and the love that Cassidy shared during her 17 years, will leave lasting memories ,only equaled by the love that everyone had for her.
Cassidy is survived by her beloved father and step-mother Daniel H. (Faye) Knippenberg, Jr. of Hiram; her beloved mother and step-father Cathy and (Greg) Byler of West Farmington; her devoted brother Danny Knippenberg at home; her dear sisters Erica Yeager of South Carolina and Leslie Yeager of Middlefield; her loving grandparents Daniel H. and Vera Knippenberg, Sr. of Hiram, Linda Knippenberg of Ravenna, Tori Pierce of Auburn Township; loving great-grandmother Doris Sanderson of Florida, and many other loving family members who share their loss of Cassidy. She was preceded in death by her loving grandfather Bob Pierce.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where the service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Mr. Todd Lozier. Final resting place will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Hiram, Ohio. Immediately following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to share in a luncheon at the Mantua Knights of Columbus Hall, 11845 St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255.
