Sorry if there's already a thread, I did search but my MDS skills are pretty rusty at the moment.


I'm confused about how long ago this happened because people seem to be freaking
out on Twitter like there's still a threat right now (which is how I found out about it) but this news article is time-stamped 6.54am 1Oct? Even with my time difference to Las Vegas (it's 5.32pm 2 Oct where I am), it seems this was first posted quite a few hours ago? So either there's a fuckup with the timestamp, or the shooter/s has been running around for hours

Multiple people have been shot after a gunman opened fire in the Mandalay Bay area of Las Vegas. Video from the scene shows the moment that the gunfire started during a festival in the Nevada city. What sounds like some kind of machine gun can be heard over the noise of the music which quickly cuts out. The gunman is said to have opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival where people were seen running for cover or lying on the ground. People are being urged to stay away from the Strip following the incident which happened while a country music concert was taking place. Police tweeted: ?We?re investigating reports of an active shooter near/around Mandalay Bay Casino. Asking everyone to please avoid the area.?
