Eric Ashby (31) drowned while hunting for Forrest Fenn's treasure

OMG, another person went missing while looking for this stupid treasure. That makes three that I know of, two have already been found dead, and it sounds like this may be the case for this guy too.

Wonder why they're so sure something suspicious happened to him. He could have fell & died. So many diff scenarios could have happened w/o someone else being involved.
Would be cool to find that treasure though.

Some adventurers die. It's the nature of the quest, I think. No one tells tales of that one time when cousin Layla skipped across a forest clearing and came upon a treasure chest of riches sitting on a tree stump.

    The Lost Dutchman Mines?
I think that's the one Jesse Capen was looking for.
They searched for his body for years. When they finally found him, he was less than 1/2 from where he sat up his camp. His bones were wedged in an inaccessible crevasse

I don't understand why those that were with him wouldn't call it in...I mean what did they do? Carry on with their search of the treasure while the whole time thinking it was one less person to have to share it with?

^^^^ This, all fucking day. I mean, who doesn't do something when their "friend" falls out of a fucking raft? And anyone who knows Colorado knows that, if you see calm water, the rapids are only a few feet away! Row to get him, throw something for him, tow his ass in...get him! And no matter what, REPORT IT TO AUTHORITIES!

Common sense is at an all time low here in 'Murica, these days!
Don't like what I have to say? I respect that. Go fuck yourself.
