Husband charged with murder after domestic dispute on cruise ship
The FBI has arrested the husband of a 39-year-old Utah woman found dead aboard a cruise ship traveling in Alaska waters.
Kenneth Manzaneres is being charged with murder in the death of Kristy Manzaneres, according to court documents cited by KTUU.She was found by crew with a severe head wound in her room aboard the Emerald Princess following a domestic dispute Tuesday around 9 p.m.
"Blood was spread throughout ... on multiple surfaces" in the cabin and she was pronounced dead about 20 minutes later.
Witnesses and a security officer told the news station they spotted blood on Kenneth's hands as he was taken to an adjoining room in handcuffs. Passengers reportedly heard him say, "She would not stop laughing at me."
Later, when being processed during an FBI search the victim "spontaneously stated, 'my life is over.'"
Charles Rowlen and his wife told KOMO News they were two decks above at the time of the incident.
“It was an evening for us ... definitely heard a woman screaming,” he said. “A little girl from that room came running out calling for help ... that her parents had been in a fight.
“She sounded pretty desperate.”
