Police are searching for a missing Flint woman. 29 year old Shanita Jenkins was last seen last Friday in Flushing.
"Shanita wouldn't come up missing like this. We haven't talked to her in five days. She wouldn't leave her kids like this," said Terrina Jenkins, mother.
Police say this isn't your typical run of the mill missing person case.
"The thing that stands out with this particular one is she does not have from what the family knows, any type of substance abuse history and she does not have a history of just dropping the kids off and vanishing," said Sgt. Lee Kahan.
Police said Shanita was last seen dropping off her kids at their grandmothers house in flushing. They've talked to family members but now want to talk to one more person.
"Her male friend or male acquaintance was last to see her and it was sometime after she was dropping the kids off," said Kahan.
