Could be age, stress, birth control, horemones, alcohol, certain homeopathic remedies/vitamins, changes to bodies after babies, the list goes on. Mine has been changed a lot since I had Ashton. It's either lighter and only lasts a couple days, then comes back 2 weeks later as spotting, then on time and omg doctor she's bleeding out!

And the whole list above could apply to me.

so true, the factors that are endless really.  it's the pain and the clots that make me think of endo.  pain isn't normal, even though most of our drs would like us to think it is.

but endo is VERY common, and isn't always associated with pain.

I totally have to talk to a doctor about endo or something.
I get my period every 28 days for 4 days.  Then it goes away for a day or two and comes back for a couple of days.  WTF is wrong with all of us?

uterus twins.  its freaking me out because its what happened to my mom right before she went through menopause.  oh, and she started menopause when she was about 35.    she was on hormones until she was 50 to stop the menopause. ugh.

Re: Birth Control, tampons, and other women's stuff. Beware!

I haven't gone to a doc because I'm poor and still waiting for my health insurance to kick in. :/

What exactly is endometriosis? I hear the word but can't remember and I'm on my phone, googling is a hassle.  And I'm lazy. Cliff's notes? Haha.

Its not that it was PAIN, really...just ver uncomfortable.  Weird feeling in my lower back that I get sometimes during periods, and my stomach was very off. I'm also bloated as fuck, and that never happens. It fucking irritating bc I finally fit into my fav jeans due to weight loss and now they are tight lol

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK, so I put in a new super tampon at like 3:30am, and I woke up at around 8:30 bleeding to death.  Like, fucking amazingly wow.  It got all over the fucking place.

AM I DYING?  This SHOULD be the end of my period, but it's like it's the first day of a bad one.  :2angry:

 I do not take BC at this time, I need some and haven't been to the lady doc in about a year, and I do not have sex.  I haven't in months, and in the past calendar year I've had sex like...5 times, max.

    :2eyesbleed:  Thank you, love.

For serious, my lady parts have been fucking annoying since I first started my period.  Not just in the annoying 'oh i've got a period' way, but the unpredicatable or refuckingdiculously long periods, I used to get UTIs ALL the fucking time (thankfully I haven't had one in about 2 1/2 years) and I used to get yeast infections at least once a year...One time I had my period, a UTI, AND a yeast infection at the same time!   Luckily I haven't had one of those in like 2 1/2 years either.  But the irregular periods remain.

And as for birth control, I've tried numerous times to do the pills, but I always end up forgetting.  I tried the patch but then I got scared of it bc of shit I heard.  So now I just don't have sex

my mom was told she was going through early menopause when she was 30.  but that wasn't what it was at all.  it wasn't until she was in her 40s she was told she had ovarian faliure.  i was always worried that i would have the same issues my mother had, and although many of our symptoms were similar our diagnosis was totally different.  when she finally ended up getting a hyst done they found no sign of endo anywhere, it's just her ovaries were shut down most of the time.

sorry if i'm dumbing this down too much...  endo is when your endometrium (the lining of your uterus that grows/sheds/bleeds every month) develops outside your uterus.  my endo, from what i've been told, is mostly located on the outside of the uterus, and one ovary i had removed.  this is where it's most commonly found, but it can be located on your bowels, bladder, and sometimes even outside of the pelvis like the lungs.  so the endo lesions act just like your endometrium, they swell and bleed on themselves with your normal cycle which can be painful and spread the disease further.  some women even end up with organs 'fused' together in severe cases.

the only way to diagnose endo is thru surgery, this is why although it's common many women go diagnosed.  most drs don't think pain is necessarily a sign that something is wrong.  i found mine because of ovarian cysts, surgery was necessary so i was finally diagnosed.

    Okay.  I need advice.

I went to the gyno for the first time this year.  I know, that's fucking stupid, but everything came back clear and I'm going to say on top of it now.  He put me on Loestrin for BC, but I hate it because it makes me retain a ton of water and makes me act like a giant c-unit.  I went off of it a few weeks ago and just got my first period in months (the Loestrin made me spot for a few days but never a full period).  I've always had heavy periods complete with horrible cramps, like in high school I'd have to stay home from school the first day of my period each month, and the BC alleviated that, but this is the worst pain and heaviest flow I've ever had.  Like I went to a store on my lunch break and had to run out because I was going to pass out.  I feel super weak and vomity and crampy and gross and I have to change a super max tampon like every 3 hours.  Obviously, I need to go on another form of BC to regulate this but I am supremely uninformed about this stuff.  Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp.

I take Yaz too. Although it has made my periods completely stop but I'm okay with that as long as it's not making me sterile.

I don't have any. I don't have any cramping or anything. I'm super bitchy right around my period but I was that way before too so I don't think that has anything to do with the Yaz.

ETA: I guess I should say I'm super bitchy around when I'm supposed to be having my period since I don't actually get it anymore.

Does it make you retain water though?  I don't want to get any fatter

Does the nuvaring regulate periods as well?  The OCD germophobe side of me doesn't like the idea of a ring up my vag three weeks at a time but I like the monthly vs daily thing.
