Yeah, my family wants me to do it too.... But I think it'd just make me paranoid if I did have it
Some people, when they find out they have the gene, go ahead and have a masectomy and/or hysterectomy, just to avoid the possibility of cancer. But even if you don't have the gene, you have a 1 in 8 chance of getting cancer anyway. I guess if you are found to have the gene they'll do a little more aggressive screening, mammograms younger, ultrasounds, mri's. That sort of thing so it might be worth having the test even if you don't plan a per-emptive Mx. IDK. Some people have such an overwhelming family history that it makes sense to by hyper-vigilant. It's a toughie. I don't have enough of a family history that my insurance would pay. I kind of wish they would have, it might have made a difference in what kind of surgery I had. But I'm not laying awake thinking about it.

Because of the history of cancer in our family, I have been getting more screening than most girls my age. The whole idea just scares me, I'm one of those don't think about it and it'll go away kind of people. But I know I need to get the test done.
I took my ring out a day early. Is that okay? It's still making me bleed every day. Like that awful just spotting nonsense. I took it out early because I want to not be on my period or have to deal with the spotting on my birthday.
Had anybody taken Norgeston? I don't know if it has some other magic mini-pill name in the states. It's my last option pill wise, and I'm wary of trying it because of the shit I got from the last ones I tried.
I used to be on the mini-pill until I got a cyst on my ovary. I have polycystic ovaries and I have to take normal birth control. If you are sexually active and you miss just ONE pill, you CAN get pregnant. That is how my daughter was conceived. So just make sure you take it at the same time every day to prevent that. You get lighter period on BC. The light bleeding is probably your period.
for future reference, it's better to take out a day late than a day early. you wouldn't take one less day of birth control pills, would you? you can also leave it in up to four weeks vs. three. i use this cushion from time to time to change my start date or push my period back a couple days. but no matter what, always take the full seven day break.
also, you might not get a period. or it might decide to say fuck off and you'll bleed like a stuck pig the last three days. not reassuring, i know. but i see that you're likely back on the ring again, so not an issue. don't take it out early again, ya hear?

Thanks for that link. My baby is 3.5 months old so according to that this should be the worst of it and it should start to grow back soon hopefully!! Sheesh. Fat, bald with a stitched up muffin. This havin babies is for the birds. Still totally worth it though. :)
I had hair wads in the shower floor trap every night for the first 4-5 months of my baby's life. It's hormonal. Hormones suck.
I think my hair loss peaked around the 4 month post partum mark. It has stopped now (hopefully for good ) = 6.5 months later.
No it's like old blood and it's been going on the whole time I've had it in.
I took it out a day early because I didn't want to be on my period on my birthday but oh well cause it started today and I'm going to be. and no I'm not back on the ring until Saturday. I'm so disappointed about my birthday.
i know but in the future, don't take it out a day early. leave it in for the minimum three weeks unless you wanna make babies.. you could have popped it out after your birthday.

OMG this happened to me! I was nursing and they said that is what was causing the hair loss. I had a bald spot right in the front of my head. My baby is now almost 4 and I just now feel like my hair is back to normal. Imma gonna hope it is sooner for you!
GAH! Oh man I hope it is sooner for me. That's crazy. It's been hell in this 100+ degree weather to not be able to put my hair up cuz my bald spots show!!! Grrr.
folic acid should help your hair from falling out, you might want to ask your dr about a script because the OTC isn't as good. d3 is also good for hair growth. between my hormone issues and RA drugs i've had nightmares where i wake up bald.
I have never been regular, but after 3 months of nothing I finally got my period and I am hurting bad. Everything hurts, my legs, my stomach.. and to top it all off I am mood swinging like a mother fucker. It's times like these I wish I was on the pill again, but then I remember how wacky the pill made me.

I'm randier than usual after this last depo shot. I pretty much would have raped mr. man today had we both not been working and standing in the middle of the emergency room. I'm not off til saturday. I may explode.
Send some of that my way. I am the opposite. I say you take a 15 minute break to take care of business.
