I'm glad I didn't send you a kiss emoticon!Feel better soon! I had horrible cramps from my very first period. I had horrible back back all the time, every day. I had a complete hysterectomy last September and it was the best thing I could have done. I had no idea that the pain I lived every day was so excruciating until I had the hysto. My back pain went from not being able to stand straight up to barely there back pain caused from a car accident when I was younger. The downside is that I didn't have children prior to the hysto and never will (biological) and it's too expensive to buy kids these days. End ramble.............get well!
They're pretty bad today. My mom and I went for a walk and I felt so weak and wobbly.

ever since i quit the yaz i've been a hormonal mess with PMS. i am in a shit mood and i want to start something on fire. i really hope that going back on bc fixes this. i feel like i have very little control over myself and i dont' like that. as a matter of fact i hate everything. my eyes are puffy. i feel like hell. and i'm really not fit for human interaction. this getting my period every 20 days is for the fucking birds.
Well, my doctor called me and my ultrasound results were normal. It's frustrating because I know something is wrong. Frequent sharp pains and 5 day shorter cycles isn't normal for me. He said it's still possible I have endo, it's just hard to diagnose, even on an ultrasound. I'm going to be starting NuvaRing on Sunday, hopefully it regulates things.
the only way to diagnose endo is through surgery, usually laporscopic. the only reason mine was diagnosed was because i had a cyst which required surgery. i hope the ring helps, women with endo are usually sensitive to hbc. i hope you find something that works for you.![]()
That's what my doctor said. Oh well, it's manageable. The pain isn't too severe, not sure what knowing would even do. My sister with endo had a huge cyst growth when she was pregnant with her 3rd child. It was the size of a cantaloup!
Sensitive to HBC how? I had so many bad experiences with The Pill.
And thank you for the support and hug![]()
there is a lot of debate on what causes endo, i tend to believe that women with endo probably just have a hormonal imbalnce most likely ecess estrogen in our systems. endo feeds on estrogen. so sometimes drs will prescribe progesteron only hbc, like depo, to women who have endo. i use YAZ because it has very low estrogen. i used to use the ring a long time ago, but i had some side effects that bothered me (hair loss, cramping, hot flashes) so i switched. everyone is different of course.
surgery just for the of diagnosis could do more harm than good, as scar tissue can be left behind and endo sometimes grows on scar tissue. but they can try and remove it through different proceedures. i think most procedures probably don't do a lot of good as, and this is my opionon, i don't think most regular obgyns know much about removal or use the best techniques, or they don't even know how to identify it always as it can look different and be located in lots of different places. there are only two drs in the country i would want to operate on me if i ever decided to go the surgical route again. there are not many obgyn's that 'specialize' in treating endo.
i had all my endo 'removed' (with lasers) but i had to have another surgery 10 months later (to have the same ovary removed) and the endo had already grown back. excision is the best method, but all drs do it. there are other meds you can take to supress estrogen production which can keep the endo from bleeding/growing which have been quite effective for me. since taking them, several years ago, my pain has been quite managable.
Thanks for all of the info. :)
My friend since Kindergarten was diagnosed with Endo, she's been TTC for about 5 years with no luck. :( That's a lot to go through, all of the complications of having endo, then not being able to conceive when you want to.

i hope your things work out for your friend. my friend's sister tried for more than ten years and finally got pregnant after giving up all together. just just never know, i think its most important to stay positive.
i love researching this stuff, so i'm always willing to share my opinions on it all. thats one of the things i think is frustrating about endo, there isn't a lot known on it and everyone has different 'theorys'. good solid facts and evidence would sure be nice.
I'm hoping she will eventually get pregnant. Her and her husband recently passed everything required to be foster parents. :) Maybe they'll adopt and have kids of their own.
that is awesome. fostering is such an amazing way to make a difference in a childs life. i would love to be a foster parent someday. i hope you're right and they can do both if thats what they really want. hearing about a family preparing to foster warms my cold black heart.![]()
Gripe: I was excited about not being on my period for my boyfriend's birthday or my birthday. Then my cycles got shorter and now I'm on my heaviest day on my birthday. And I'm grumpy.

i thought i was getting my period last week. had all the symptoms but no cramps which should have tipped me off--but the first period after the implanon was cramp-free. but maybe not a 'real' period. now i'm just spotty. i'm not really 'late' but i want to start fucking bleeding so i can start taking the pill again.
my period always lasts as long as my hbc allows it. when i'm not on anything my body has a mind of its own. no clear communication between my ovary and the moon, apparently.
My period has always been heavy and timed with a mind of it's own. Many years I've had it from Christmas till New Year, again for Valentines Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July... and any incidental weekends I thought I might be able to get out of town. Blargh I won't miss it when it finally goes away.

Man, that sucks, Mine's like three days and it's so light that I can wear a panty liner.
You slept with mike so he would ban me. change your sig..the pretentious look how hipster face is so old ooh you like guys with glasses..ooooh
My period loves holidays too. Fucker.
My period was a special occasion whore.
I started as I was walking out the door to go to the church to get dressed for my wedding. I took many muscle relaxers (shades of '16 Candles'). My doctor had told me to skip the placebo pills and just go to the next pack so I would miss my period. Not.

Question..
My doctor told me to start Nuvaring today, but I'm still bleeding and using tampons. How... do I do this?
i would just wait, personally. i used my ring and a cup without any issue. i never used tampons.
