i've never actually missed work because of my cramps/endo but i have not gotten out of my desk all day other than to use the bathroom i didn't get up for any breaks/lunch. i just couldn't move. fucking uteri are capable of some bullshit. is that right? uteri?
a scientist friend of mine recommended i try taking b6 to help with cramping. i don't know if it is working because i don't always get the vomit-inducing cramps but i haven't gotten them in the few months i started taking it...
this is relevant to my interests.
I take a multi vitamin everyday. I feel a bit better today, but I can't even believe how awful it was yesterday.

I have been off birth control for a while because I fucking loathe it. I used to get the same cramps in high school, replete with vomit. They run in my family. And when I first went off BC I was like hOLY SHIT FUCK YOU BODY. But then it adjusted and that stopped happening.

Caffeine always seemed to make my cramps worse.
Heating pad, ibuprofen, and lots of complaining while doubled over crying seemed to be pretty effective though.
I don't miss that.
Has anyone here been on Depo-Provera and then went off it and got Pregnant? How long did it take, if you were trying? Just wondering for the future. I've been on Depo for 4+ years now, Haven't had a period really the entire time (which is wonderful). Now the BF and I talking marriage and family and such (not right now, maybe later this year, one before the other hopefully lol) and I've heard it took like a year to get preggers after you stop getting the shot.
I got pregnant ON it. That's all I have.
All I know is it's the same "composition" (?) as Implanon- so basically the same, just a bit less effective- and the second you get Implanon out, you can start trying, so I couldn't imagine there'd be a difference. The shot is good for three months so I would assume three months after your last one.

My son blocked my bile duct my entire pregnancy with him. Yay for GB surgery (the OLD FASHIONED way) with a 3 month old! (then getting knocked up the first time you had sex post op thanks to an absessed tooth and antibiotics!) G & M were 13.5 months apart. So, yup, get yourself fixed up first!

Also- you just scared me into looking up depo and it's reaction to antibiotics. Phew... I'm good.
ETA: I told my BF how I got scared and had to look up the antibiotic thing because i'd honestly forgotten about the reaction to it and antibiotics... his response was "40 pound babies, here we come :)". When he gets off work, I'm going to sock him. Apparently he wants kids and wants them to absolutely destroy my vagina.

My sister got pregnant with my niece a week after it was supposed to be renewed (she thought it would take a year) and a month before it was renewed with my nephew.
Oh, and what is it with guys and big babies? L's brother's wife had 9 lb. babies so L thinks he has to one up him and have bigger ones. Like it makes him more of a man. He fails to recognize that his brother's wife's body was fucking destroyed after having 2 big babies.

Ive never heard that either. I was always freaked out because me and Joe were both ten pounders but apparently Don was like 4 pounds. He was a preemie though.

i can't remember all that ails you now but could it be linked to the depo? i like to blame depo for evrything because that shit is nasty and now i can't remember who i was talking to but they were telling me how one shouldn't be on it for long periods of time. my sister gained close to 100 pounds while on depo. she's under 5 feet and while she didn't quite way as much as me, the weight was scarier because her frame is smaller. she used to struggle with breathing while sitting up straight and developed this godawful way of sitting so she wouldn't be gasping for air. i just remembered that, sorry.I was just curious...I'm planning for the future. uhhhh... there was something else i wanted to say but i can't remember. shoot. wait! i know people who got preggers as soon as they hopped off birth control, people who got knocked up on birth control ( twice. *cough*), and people who got of birth control and are still having issues with getting pregnant. like seriously, you'd think with all the freaking unwanted pregnancies that it'd be way easier to get pregnant.

i gained over 100lbs AFTER depot. i also wonder if its responsible for other things, like my endo, but its hard to say. some drs believe it can be harmful over long periods (i was on it for nearly nine years) and others think that perhaps it kept my endo from going out of control because it kept me from bleeding. the reality is that it thinned my utuers/endometrium so thin that i bled for six months just from the lack of estrogen eating away at my uterus. now i have endo all over my uterus. related? hard to say.
i do wonder if all the horrid acne i had for so long was just the depo, now that i know implanon causes me disfiguring acne. its interesting how different hbc can affect us all so differently.
i've been off hbc for a few short periods since i was 16. usually the longer i'm off it the more cramps/endo pain i have to deal with so i end up going back to hbc. i prefer yaz. does it make my migraines worse? again, i think its tough to say since i was on depo for so long and i still had migraines.
i had a PA at PPH tell me a few weeks back, when i got the implanon out, that no dr would write me a script for estrogen/progesterone hbc since i'm a migraineur. i lol'd. i've had at least a dozen, maybe more, drs write me scripts for hbc that contained some form of estrogen.
i'll just add, i do think my low bone density is probably related to my long term depot use. its a documented side effect. i do suggest anyone on a non-estrogen hbc take calcium and vitamid d.
I'm not charting because my sleep schedule is so awful I don't think it'll ever be an accurate temperature reading, seeing as some nights I get six hours of sleep and some I get two. I also don't want to touch my cervix lol
