holy shit- pushin out a baby is no joke. Props to all you mamas out there. Jeezus.
I had a baby boy a month ago, he's the best. But I had SERIOUS anxiety about the delivery process and the pain that comes with it. Thankfully I had a very fast (VERY fast for a first delivery) experience, I was only in the hospital for 3.5 hours before he was born, and had an epidural for the last hour of it. The contractions I had at home for about 6 hours before I even went to the hospital were serious business. Those bastards hurt. Everyone I talked to beforehand was like "oh once it's over you'll forget all about the pain". Well that's BS, I still remember how bad it hurt. :) I have no idea how some women to the all natural water births at home and stuff, that's badass. For real. It was all TOTALLY worth it to get my amazing little man though, so in love.
congrats on the new little one.![]()
i'm bleeding just 15 days since i was last bleeding. i know that things will start to get normal in a few months since i'm off hbc but fml, i could have just stayed in bed all day and been perfectly happy. ouch.
i'm really considering going back on hbc, even though several drs have told asked me to stay off it at least a few months. i will say i haven't had a migraine since i had the implanon removed. but i had migraines long before i ever bled, so i know they're not purely hormonal. stupid lady parts.
I just had a cyst rupture, and emergency surgery.
I thought I was actually going to die. I'm such a baby.
I was born to hustle roses down the avenues of the dead.
I am mostly better now. They took out the catheter today...that was fun.
It was the worst. I don't know how you ladies who have had kids manage to give birth. I was so relatively minor on the pain scale, and I was beggin for sedation.
To push a head out of my cuca?NOPE. NOPE. This totally reaffirms my implanon decision.
I was born to hustle roses down the avenues of the dead.
i bought a diva cup and can't wait to try it out. it's strange saying that, but whatever. i got it for relatively cheap (less than $30, no shipping) using a coupon @ drugstore.com. YAY!
uh yeah..anyway...i have known friends who've had cysts rupture and like woah, do not want. good to hear you're on the mend atticus,.
"We recommend Model 2 if you are 30 or over 30 years old, because as we age, our hips naturally widen and the vaginal muscles lose elasticity. Because the vaginal muscles hold The DivaCup in place, it is important to use Model 2 if you are over 30, even if you have not had childbirth."
shit changes when you get old. apparently i have a saggy vag to go with my saggy fun bags.
i've had my diva cup for years and i love it. i've thought about getting the 'old saggy vag' version, but i haven't found any real reason to replace the one i have yet.
i used to use instead, which didn't ick me out at all but it was hard to get them in correctly and uncomfortable if you couldn't seat it properly. and sometimes i bleed like there's no tomorrow and it ends up being a freaking crime scene every time i change, so mess-schmess. ha.
you only have to empty it twice a day (and i'm a pretty heavey bleeder) so i empty it in the shower and once at night in the sink, its not any messier than tampons and i'd say even less since i'm never taking it out when i'm not at home. i boil it once a month, other than that i just wash it with soap and water.
i never could put the instead in right every time, at least with the diva cup you can tell when its where it needs to be.
i'm sorry ang. have you tried a hot bath? i know they don't fix you, but they're the only thing that keep me from suicide/homicide sometimes.
