Some drama going down on her FB atm.
A mother-of-two who has been charged with murdering her partner after allegedly mowing him down with her car suffers from bipolar disorder, a court has heard.
Jess Lee Donker, 29, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday - one day after she allegedly struck and killed Richie Powell, 32, in a suspected domestic dispute in Sunbury.
A lawyer for Ms Donker, who showed little emotion during the hearing and donned a bruise on her eye, told the court she had never been arrested before and is bipolar, according to The Herald Sun.
The 29-year-old will remain in police custody until her next hearing on June 5.
Prosecutors were granted 15 weeks to prepare a brief of evidence instead of the traditional 10 weeks because pathology results could take longer than anticipated, according to the Herald Sun.
Mr Powell was walking with a suitcase along a Sunbury road, in north-west Melbourne, on Sunday morning when witnesses claim Ms Donker tried to run him over multiple times with her vehicle.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 6.15am following reports a man had been hit by a vehicle in a car park.
Ms Donker, who allegedly fled from the scene in the car, was charged with one count of murder on Sunday night.
The car used in the alleged attack was found with a smashed windscreen and a damaged front bumper at a relative's home at a nearby street.
Witnesses claimed they watched as the horrific incident unfold on Stewarts Lane as Mr Powell desperately tried to hide from the car.
'[She] tried to run him over, probably five, six times,' a witness alleged.
'And then, finally she got him with that, she hit a pole, he was behind a pole... And she got him.
'She stopped the car to have a look. And she started screaming and then she went back to the car, spun up the road.'
Another witness recalled they saw Mr Powell walk down the road without a shirt on as he talked to himself and appeared 'distressed'.
'He was just a bit distressed,' a witness said.
'He was muttering and talking.'
