I seriously doubt that will happen.  Because if they kill off the main characters, we'll be overwhelmed with child suicides.

All these adults keep speculating what's going to happen, but what they seem to forget is that these books target, above all, the eight to ten crown, and there are limits to what any writer and publishing house will feel comfortable asking them to expect...hence the lack of sex we all know 16 year olds are having in boarding school.
