I enjoyed the book too, but not that much. It's the doubling down when confronted with lies that always amaze me. I would fold like a towel.
What happened to Tupelo?
Mmmm... I think she is a manipulative mythomaniac and the ex is a sucker just like her husband
The hoax was unraveled by the DNA match to the ex-boyfriend's father.
Local investigators in California asked the DOJ to run a familial search of the DNA they had collected from Papini's clothing in 2016. It was found on her underwear, sweatshirt and pants, and belonged to a man - even though she had told investigators she had been kidnapped by two women.
The search pinged a partial match for the ex-boyfriend's father.
It remains unclear if his DNA was on file because it was in the criminal database, or if he had submitted to an at-home DNA test.
Authorities then staked out the ex-boyfriend's home. They collected a bottle of Honest Honey Green Tea in June 2020

Further skepticism about why she disappeared emerged after it was revealed she had previously run away as a teenager.
And according to the Sacramento Bee, uncovered documents from 13 years ago outlined how Papini's mother, Loretta Graeff, called police asking for help after her daughter was allegedly self-harming and trying to blame the wounds on her.
The incident report, filed in December 2003, is just two lines long and reads: 'RP states her 21y/o daughter that was living with her was harming herself and blaming it on the RP.
'RP states female is coming back to live with them and she wants advice.'
The newspaper also found two other incidents involving Papini, where her father and sister both claimed she damaged their property.
In 2000, Richard Graeff said his daughter 'burglarized his residence,' before Sheila Koester, 'alleged her back door had been kicked in and she believed Papini was the suspect', the Bee reported.
As if y'all have never faked a kidnapping and had your ex to wash your underwear by hands. So judgmental. He faked kidnapped a woman for 2 weeks, watched her self harm so that she could blame Hispanics, and branded her with a slogan that they haven't said, and he didn't even have an orgasm. That's really sad. She must have a vagina made of gold, because I would have spilled the beans. No way I could watch everyone worry and blame Hispanic women all while knowing the truth, and she didn't even sleep with me.

The family of a Northern California woman whose 2016 disappearance trigged an intensive search and international headlines on Friday criticized the way she was arrested on charges she faked her own kidnapping.
Sherri Papini, 39, of Redding, was "ambushed" in front of her children Thursday afternoon, according to her family.

Sherri Papini, husband allegedly paid off credit cards with $49,000 donated to kidnapping hoax
Sherri Papini?s once sympathetic tale grows more loathsome with each passing day.
The California ?super mom? didn?t just fake her own abduction: Papini and her husband Keith also allegedly used nearly $50,000 donated toward the effort to find her to pay off their credit cards instead, according to authorities.
Papini was arrested Thursday on charges she staged her own 2016 kidnapping, a shocking three-week disappearance that generated international headlines and an outpouring of public support.
Federal prosecutors in California also claim in court papers Papini used $49,070 donated through the ?Bring Sherri Home Safe? GoFundMe page, toward credit card debt and other personal expenses. It appears her husband Keith, and an unnamed ex-boyfriend, were at least aware of her ruse.
?Thank you all so much for your donations,? Keith Papini wrote on the GoFundMe page on Nov. 7, 2016, five days after he reported her missing. ?Your generosity, concern and prayers are very much appreciated by the Papini family.?
Just one month later, on Dec. 6, he wrote a $31,818.13 check to himself from the GoFundMe account, prosecutors allege, much of which was used to pay down credit card debt. The rest of the donated funds were put in the couple?s bank accounts and spent on personal expenses.
Honestly. Lock ALL of these fuckers up. Fraud all around. Her, the Ex and the Husband. Basically, she wanted to escape her life and fuck her Ex so she took off and created an elaborate story to get out of the fact that she just wanted to fuck her Ex. She also threw a community of minorities under the bus just so she could fuck her Ex for Month. Hubby KNEW that she took off to fuck her Ex and figured that if he's going to get sloppy seconds that he might as well cash in on the deal.
They're ALL trash. They ALL were in on it. They ALL need to serve jail time.
What's crazy is that the minority that they tried to blame would do time for just looking the wrong way. Never mind wasting resources and stealing money to pay off credit cards.
Fucking despicable.
...and still no mugshot.
Yep. My friend has a POS daughter. Very Blonde, Very Nordic. I don't think she's got a gram of melanin in her whole body. She has managed to bat her eyes and get out of so much trouble. Oh, no, those aren't my drugs in my purse! Oh was I speeding! and on and on. It's amazing. Skates better than Peggy Fleming.
I think saying she had "narcisissitic behavior" is being too kind. Where is the outrage about this? This dumb bitch tried to fool everyone.
And I still want to know if shes still married.
Honestly. If she were any other race blaming white people for kidnapping her, she'd be raked through the coals. There would be memes upon memes upon more memes all over Facebook and she would be trending everywhere. Instead, fucking crickets over the shit she pulled. AND SHE DEFRAUDED PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY!!!! Literally no charges or mention of that bullshit!
Also, still no mugshot.
You've GOT to be kidding me. Good luck finding this jackass now. Who the fuck thought this was a good idea?

Boo hoo.Sherri Papini’s Release From Custody Turns Chaotic
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — It was a chaotic release from custody for high-profile defendant Sherri Papini, who is accused of faking her own kidnapping.
Papini’s release from Sacramento jail turned into an unusual, rolling Q&A session by reporters seeking an explanation from the mother and wife who made nationwide headlines when she went missing for three weeks in 2016.
With unmistakable blonde bangs hanging under her hoodie, Papini was immediately surrounded by family who escorted her to a vehicle a block away from the jail doors. The sprint went across downtown Sacramento streets with family shielding her face as reporters tried to get some type of response from her.
Not answering anyone, at one point, Papini could be heard sobbing as a family member got her inside an awaiting vehicle.
The wild scene followed a federal judge ruling Papini be released on $120,000 bail. Prosecutors wanted her to stay detained, arguing she was a flight risk and a risk to the community. Her defense attorney argued she has no criminal history, no indication of violence, and no substance-related problems.
Attorney Mark Reichel says federal law does favor the release of defendants ahead of trials in most cases.
“This is a big break for the defense today,” Reichel said Tuesday. “This would have been a really difficult case to defend, to get ready for if she was in custody, so round one to the defense in this very high-profile case.”
The FBI arrested Papini last week alleging she lied to investigators about her three-week disappearance in 2016.
She was found on the side of the road in shackles claiming two Hispanic women had kidnapped her. Federal prosecutors say she was with an ex-boyfriend the whole time in Southern California.
Now, there’s another wild twist to an already bizarre case as the court ruling she can be released turned crazy.
Papini is due back in court again on March 25.

And THIS, my friends, is why she is not being held to the same standards of others who lied and used another race as the excuse. With unmistakable blonde bangs hanging under her hoodie
