Sioux Falls- Lance Truman Hinkle, 31, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2016 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. Family will be present to greet friends one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lance Truman Hinkle was born to Frank and DeLyn Hinkle on April 15, 1985 in Sioux Falls, SD, where he grew up and lived most of his life. He graduated from college with an associates degree in business.
Lance was a high-energy, fun-loving guy with a giant heart made of gold and a smile that proved it. Lance not only was althetic, but those that knew him, knew he was also extremely artistic. He was a painter, an illustrator, a writer of poetry and stories, a public speaker, a fabulous chef (who spoiled his daughter, girlfriend, friends and family), a great dancer, a die hard Detroit Lions fan, a football fanatic, a boxer, a fighter, a weightlifter, a fancy-footed basketball player... and the list goes on. Lance loved many things, but above all else, he loved his family. He was the first one to get everyone together, and the one that truly held the family unit together.
Grateful for having shared his life are his daughter, Autumn Hinkle; son, Odin Hikle; parents, Frank Hinkle, Sioux Falls, SD, and DeLyn VanDyke, Altamontae Springs, FL; brother and best friend: Miles (Angela Stormer) Hinkle, Scottsdale, AZ; grandmothers, Dorthey VanDyke, Sioux Falls, SD, and Hilda Hinkle, Aransas Pass, TX; uncles, Arthur Hinkle, Fort Pierre, SD, Larry (Karen) VanDyke, Valley Springs, SD, Charles (Debbie) VanDyke, Tea, SD; aunts, Cheryl Lyng, Altamontae Springs, FL, and Laurell VanDyke, Altamontae Springs, FL; special friend Rhonda Huml, Brandon, SD; and many more family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Benny VanDyke and Arthur Hinkle; and uncles Ron VanDyke and Charley Hinkle.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family for a late lunch and fellowship at The Original Pancake House immediately following the funeral service.
