Missing Foul Play Suspected - Charlene Roxanne Voight, age 36, of LITTLETON, COLORADO

Missing Foul Play Suspected - Charlene Roxanne Voight, age 36, of LITTLETON, COLORADO, last talked to her family on June 29, 2016. Voight recently moved to Colorado from California to live with her long-term boyfriend, Jeffrey Beier, who has now been arrested in an unrelated sexual assault case. Beier is being held in the Arapahoe County jail on a $100,000 bond on charges of sexual assault overcoming a victim?s will and third-degree assault. A criminal investigation has been initiated based on the circumstances of her disappearance.

Voight's vehicle has been located, and police are currently processing two possible crime scenes. One was an apartment shared by the couple at 5099 South Rio Grande Street, and the other is a narrow dirt lot separated from the apartment complex by Belleview Avenue crossing underneath South Rio Grande Street.

Police found Voight?s car in the dirt lot. The registered landowner of the dirt lot said he just sold it to Beier on June 27. Police also found spatter that may be blood on a headboard during the search for Voight. Investigators are awaiting test results on the suspected blood. They also found a mattress that was missing from an apartment they searched. They also said a piece of carpeting appeared to have been removed and replaced with a piece that did not match and was not sewn in place.

Voight is described as 5?0? tall, 105 lbs., has blonde hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on this case, please contact the Littleton Police at 303-794-1551.

I would say they are on and off for about 4-5 years," said Marilyn Voight, Charlene's younger sister, speaking by phone from California.

Records show Beier was arrested four years ago in Orange County on charges of trespassing on "Charlene V.'s property," but the charges were dismissed.

Digging deeper, though, long before he met Charlene Voight, records state Beier did hard time for domestic violence, pleading guilty in 2009 to Corporal Injury on a Spouse and Threatening a Witness.

Now, Littleton Police Commander Trent Cooper said Beier is in jail on a sexual assault charge uncovered while investigating Voight's disappearance.

"The victim is a different woman," said Cooper.

In Court Monday, Beier's bond was increased to $100,000.

He refused our request for an interview, but his LinkedIn profile suggests he is a salesman and entrepreneur, a father of "7 Children" who obtained "a 6 figure income."

On Facebook, Beier posted photos of his luxury California getaway and his truck.

Police said his company, 911 Roll-Off, rents out dumpsters for major events.

Charlene Voight is listed as the registered contact for the company's website.

No one has heard from her since June 29, and her family is desperate for information.

"For everyone to please keep talking about her and hopefully something will come up," said Marilyn Voight.

Littleton Police plan to hold a news conference with more information Tuesday.

Since he owns a dumpster company and she's been missing 3 weeks- I hope they're checking out the landfills.

Cooper said Voight and Beier were staying at a nearby apartment complex with a friend.

I wonder if the person he assaulted was the friend they were staying with?
Her family last talked to her June 29- that's a Wednesday. July 1 was just two days later...on Friday. The victim of the sexual assault didn't turn him until the police were talking with her about Charlene's disappearance. AND the sexual assault victim was the last person to see Charlene.....Hmmmmm. Def. strange. I won't say it tho.

Multiple well-placed sources tell Denver7 Investigates Littleton police found spatter that may be blood on a headboard during the search for missing woman Charlene Voight. Investigators are awaiting test results on the suspected blood.

Sources tell Denver7 Chief Investigative reporter Tony Kovaleski officers found a mattress that was missing from an apartment they searched. They also said a piece of carpeting appeared to have been removed and replaced with a piece that did not match and was not sewn in place.
A missing woman, missing mattress, blood, and missing/replaced carpet equals a bad ending.

I bet they are all in the landfill.

Beier's public defenders are attempting to get a gag order regarding any information coming about his sexual assault case. The article also stated:

According to documents reviewed by 7News, Douglas County investigators responding to a call of a couple fighting at a Parker bar discovered Beier had a 2012 protection order out of California that prevented him from having any contact with Voight, 36.

The document states Beier told investigators “he had taken classes” as part of a plea agreement and that he indicated the pair was back together.

Beier was taken into custody, but the charge was later dismissed.

Already sounded like it was not going to be a happy ending, so no shocker that there was already a case of domestic violence in the relationship, enough so that he had to go through court and they split up for a time. Sounds like she declined to press charges. Ugh.

Charlene Voight - missing since 29 June 2016

Sources tell Denver7 Chief Investigative reporter Tony Kovaleski officers found a mattress that was missing from an apartment they searched. They also said a piece of carpeting appeared to have been removed and replaced with a piece that did not match and was not sewn in place.

Voight?s family reported her missing on July 8, saying they had not heard from her since June 29. Her family told Denver7 she had recently moved to Colorado to be with her boyfriend, Jeffrey Scott Beier.

On July 12, police arrested Beier on charges of an unrelated sexual assault on another woman. Police said they learned of the sexual assault allegation while investigating Voight?s disappearance.

Beier is being held in the Arapahoe County Jail on $100,000 bond. Police have not called him a suspect or a person of interest in Voight?s disappearance.

Sources tell Denver7 Investigates the sexual assault victim is the last known person to have seen Voight. Court documents say the assault is alleged to have happened July 1.

Authorities also searched an abandoned home in the Fort Morgan area in connection with Voight?s disappearance on Sunday, sources said. It is unclear what, if anything, that search produced.

Police stressed to Denver7 they are still in the early stages of their investigation and they are unsure of the significance of any of the information and evidence collected so far.

Littleton Police search landfill for evidence in missing woman Charlene Voight's case

A 36-year-old Littleton woman has been missing since July, but she hasn't been forgotten by friends, family and certainly not police.

Officers announced Monday they began searching a landfill in Commerce City to look for Charlene Voight's body, or evidence that might be related to her disappearance.

The search at 8480 Tower Road in Commerce City will continue through the day, but police didn't say when it would end. Littleton Police have found help in their search from Colorado State Patrol, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, Colorado National Guard and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

    History of the case

Voight had been reported missing after she hadn't been heard from by family in several days. The call rang out on July 8, with family saying they hadn't heard from her since June 29.

Prior to her disappearance, she had moved to Colorado to be with her boyfriend, who has been identified as Jeffrey Scot Beier. Beier faced arrest on July 12 in a sexual assault case that police say is unrelated to Voight's disappearance.

Sources told Denver7 Investigates the person Beier allegedly assaulted is the last known person to have seen Voight alive.

Voight's boyfriend not currently a person of interest

Police have said Beier, who is being held on $100,000 bond, is not a person of interest in the case currently. He may have a history in court with Voight, however.

A 2015 case narrative by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office shows investigators responding to a call of a couple fighting at a Parker bar found Beier had a 2012 protection order out of California protecting him from contact with Voight.

In the document, he told police he took classes as part of a plea agreement, saying the pair had reunited.

Court records show Beier served time in 2009 in California after pleading guilty to domestic violence against his ex-wife.

A separate assault case in 2009 led one woman to tell police Beier threatened her.

"He threatened that if I were to go to the police, he would kill me and my family," the victim said.

Current charges against Beier for alleged sexual assault haven't yet been resolved.

Evidence found thus far in the case

Police say they found Voight's car not long after beginning the search for her body. The car, abandoned in a dirt lot, is linked to a property sold to Beier days before Voight's disappearance.

The former property owner said Beier moved dumpsters onto the property soon after buying it for $50,000 cash.

Sources close to the case also say they located blood spatter on a headboard during their investigation. That headboard is being closely examined and tested.

Those sources also said a mattress was missing from a searched apartment, along with a piece of carpeting that appears to have been replaced.

Authorities conclude landfill search for missing Charlene Voight after 4 months

After four months of combing through a Commerce City landfill, authorities have concluded the search for evidence in connection with the disappearance of 36-year-old Charlene Voight, Denver7 Investigates learned exclusively Wednesday.

The conclusion of the search comes after the Littleton City Council approved $500,000 in December to continue the search, which started last November.

And though crews didn’t find exactly what they were looking for, they did discover pieces of evidence that could help in the ongoing search for the missing woman.

Voight was reported missing by her family last July 8 after they hadn’t heard from her since the final days of June. She had moved to Colorado from California just weeks before disappearing in order to live with her boyfriend, Jeffrey Scot Beier.

Voight’s car was found abandoned shortly after she was reported missing, and was linked to a property that Beier had bought days before Voight was last seen.

Denver7 Investigates first reported there was suspicious blood spatter on a headboard inside an apartment police searched in regards to the case; a mattress was missing from the apartment, and a portion of carpet had been cut out and removed from the apartment, according to authorities.

Making the case even more complicated, Beier was arrested July 12 for an alleged sexual assault that happened July 1, allegedly against a different woman.

But those charges were later dropped on Sept. 2, when prosecutors said they had to do so in order to avoid giving evidence about the ongoing search for Voight to Beier’s defense team.

And Beier had a history of domestic violence involving an ex-wife and Voight. He pleaded guilty in 2007 to threatening to kill his ex-wife, then served time in a domestic violence case involving Voight in 2013.

In November, authorities started searching the Tower Landfill in Commerce City for either Voight’s body or the missing mattress. Beier, who ran a dumpster business, had been placed at the landfill around the time that Voight disappeared, Denver7 Investigates first reported at the time.

    New developments in case

On Wednesday, law enforcement sources confirmed to Denver7 Investigates that the landfill search concluded March 10 after four months.

It was funded by $500,000 the Littleton City Council appropriated in December – another facet of the case that has not been previously reported.

And though the search did not turn up Voight’s body or the missing mattress, law enforcement sources tell Denver7 Investigates that they did find some of her clothes.

That clothing is now undergoing forensic DNA testing to see if authorities can find anything that might link a suspect to her disappearance.

Littleton police continue to work with multiple local and state agencies to try and find Voight. Anyone with information on her disappearance is asked to call the department at 303-794-1551.
