Josh Saculla (28) died after he fell from and was kicked by a bull

A 28-year-old man died after he was kicked in the chest by a bull at the Backyard Bull Bash near La Grange, Sunday evening.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says Josh Saculla fell off and was kicked by the bull, but was able to get up and out of the ring before he collapsed.

A YouCaring Page set up to pay for medical and funeral expenses describes Saculla, from Bryan, Texas, as a man passionate about bull riding.

In a post to its Facebook page, the Backyard Bull Bash said Saculla was a professional bull rider. "It was a great event for the Ronald McDonald House, and Josh was doing what he loved, but obviously losing someone from the rodeo family like this hurts deeply," the post said.

I get that it was for charity, but I classify this about the same as the bull fighter. I'm actually surprised that Ronald McDonald House would be associated with a rodeo.

Atleast he died doing what he loved.

I'm not a fan of rodeo or bullfighting. It is hard for me to justify either as humane to the animals.

    So sad.
Those damn bull riders. A bunch of adrenaline junkies.
I grew up in a rodeo town. They're addicted to that shit like crack.
I have a soft spot for rodeo boys, tho.

Every time one dies, it's hard not to think of Lane Frost..and the movie 8 seconds.

The poem- Cowboy is his name
