Ashley Gammon, 25, of Olyphant, died Wednesday unexpectedly at home.

Born in Scranton, daughter of Joseph Skrutski Jr. and Kelly Gammon of Scott Twp., she was a graduate of Lakeland High School and worked as a caregiver for local group homes.

She was a loving daughter and sister, who loved traveling, going to concerts and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid vegetarian and very artistic person, who enjoyed arts and crafts and spending quality time with her two dogs, Riley and Randy.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Jessica Gammon of Carbondale; one brother, Joey Gammon of Scott Twp.; paternal grandmother, Sharon Skrutski of Olyphant; her uncle, David Gammon of Dunmore; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Joseph Skrutski; and maternal grandparents, William and Joan Gammon.

Family and friends can pay their respects on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 402 Boulevard Ave., Dickson City. There will be a memorial blessing service at 7 by Deacon Jan Mroz. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Our family cannot thank everyone enough. The outpouring of love and support for our beautiful daughter is the only thing keeping us going right now. She was taken from us way to soon, but her memory will live on in each of us. We love you Ashley and we promise to bring justice to those involved. Rest in peace my angel.
