Most people I know voted to remain. One of my colleagues voted to leave and spent all day today moaning about the "foreigners" and saying how good things are going to be now

My work colleagues were all leave, my friends were all remain.
Saddest bit was talking to the lovely Polish cleaners at work, who are all convinced this means in their words "bye-bye UK"
I really get angry about the whole "foreigners" thing. If people actually bothered to look for the true figures rather than believing what the Daily Mail churns out, we wouldn't have to listen to these ignoramus's banging on about foreigners.

I went shopping this morning and the woman on the checkout was discussing with the man behind me about the referendum. She had several questions which she kept asking over and over

"If we've left Europe are we still in Euro 2016?"
"If we've left Europe can we still enter the Eurovision Contest??"
"If we've left Europe what continent are we now on?"

The man looked really confused and said "We didn't leave Europe did we?"

I just fucking can't with this shit. These are the sorts of people that voted. This women doesn't even know what she's voted for!! She thinks we're leaving the bloody continent.

The most hideous thing on Friday was seeing that leaves had won, by switching on the news at 6:30am and seeing some woman screeching "You have made history" to a smug looking Nigel Farage... I dread to think!

This was my question as well because my Brother in Law lives and works in London but is an Irish citizen. I haven't heard that he's worried at all so I don't know.

It opens the door for it certainly. It's as if California decided that you couldn't just move there, from any other state. You'd need a passport and a visa to visit and a work permit if you wanted to get a job. So maybe they'd have an orderly process to let people get their paperwork in order or maybe it'd be a fustercluck. Probably things will work fine for desirable immigrants. Those who have skills needed by the UK. Others, not so much. But nothing is set in stone. There are those calling for a do over of the vote. The government doesn't have to abide by the results of the vote as it was non binding... but the do have to judge how much anger there will be if they don't...
