Duncan police call in dive teams, OHP to assist in search for missing 8-year-old boy with autism
DUNCAN, Okla. Duncan police are continuing their search this morning for an 8-year-old boy with autism who went missing from his home early Sunday morning.
Damion Davidson was last seen by his parents in his bed sometime around 2 a.m., his aunt told KFOR.
"He is autistic. He cannot speak. With the terrific downpour of rain that they've had in Duncan and all the flooding down there, we're very concerned," Kathy Davidson, Damion's aunt, said.
The main concern is because he doesn't know how to swim.
"We've got everybody out looking for him, fire department, hundreds of people that are now out looking, you know, turning up trash cans looking in back, you know, just anywhere, because he's small," Kathy said.
Police have crews on foot and also dive teams in the water of Claridy Creek.
Police also have a drone flying over the area and have requested OHP to assist in the search.
Search crews found the boy's pants near a creek south of Bois D'arc Sunday night.
The police department is asking for everyone to review any surveillance videos that point near Highway 81 from Spruce to Bois D?Arc from the hours of 7:00 am to noon on Sunday.
The boy was spotted near 5th and Elder on Dollar General surveillance video around 6:47 a.m.
Another surveillance camera spotted the boy near 10th and Beech at a gas station around 7:27 a.m.
Two Duncan Power employees say they saw a boy playing in water puddles near 10th and Beech around 9 a.m.
Damion was last seen wearing Captain America pajamas and glasses.
If you see him, the family recommends you approach him from behind and call authorities.
