ARLINGTON
An Arlington teenager hanged himself on a soccer goal outside an elementary school Saturday morning, police said.
Willie Lewis, 16, died at 7:45 a.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner?s office.
Organizers of a community event at Foster Elementary School found Lewis hanging on the goal, said Sgt. VaNessa Harrison, a police spokeswoman.
Investigators determined it was ?totally conclusive? that Lewis? death was a suicide, Harrison said. The medical examiner?s office has not made an official ruling on his cause of death.
Lewis was a sophomore at Arlington Bowie High School, district spokeswoman Leslie Johnston said. Counselors were available to students Monday.
