that poor woman. I cannot even begin to imagine what she went through. However, the workers left for the extended Chinese New Year break and only returned to the gruesome find of the woman's corpse on Mar. 1. Reports also said that the lift walls were covered in desperate scratch marks made by the women.
Horrible.
She must have been screaming so loud for so long. No one heard her??? I mean, at all? I would think people who didn't even live that close to her must've heard something...just odd to me.
And the owner didn't even bother with a broken elevator at all for a month? Even if the owner went near it to check it out for a minute shortly after it broke, or called a maintenance man, they would have hard her cries for help. This is so sad and awful.
I can't even...
I got stuck in an elevator for like 10 minutes once, and it was fucking horrible. I wasn't screaming or anything, though. I was busy pushing buttons, pulling at doors, and deciding who I was going to call and say what. The doors magically opened for no apparent reason and I took the stairs as long as I worked in that building. Cool story, I know.
It boggles the mind to even imagine... poor thing.
I think dehydration would've gotten her long before starvation, though. Not that it matters.
