Cory Breton and Iuliana Triscaru were found dead in a lake inside a toolbox

Three people missing from Brisbane's south have made no use of mobile phones or bank accounts in almost a fortnight.
A Queensland Police spokesman confirmed Sunday evening that they had still found no trace of Lelan Harrington, Cory Breton or Iuliana Triscaru, who were all reported missing between January 25 and February 1.
Mr Harrington, 23, was last seen on January 25 at his sister's house in Logan, south of Brisbane, and has not made contact with family and friends since.
Police believe he may be with Cory Breton, 28, reported missing on January 29 from the Logan area and Iuliana Triscaru, 31, reported missing on February 1 from Marsden.
Neither Mr Breton nor Ms Triscaru have contacted or been seen by family since January 24.
On Friday Superintendent Dave Hutchinson of Logan Police said the three were known to be involved with criminal elements.
"We do know they associate with some nefarious characters, they are known to police and they are users of drugs," Superintendent Hutchinson said.
"All those ingredients together are a concern."
Two vehicles owned by Mr Breton were found at the Cleveland Ferry Terminal, leading police to believe the group may have travelled to Stradbroke Island.
While police admit there is nothing to suggest foul play, none of the trio have used their mobile phones or accessed their bank accounts for almost two weeks.
"There is still every opportunity and every possibility that they are still out there, that they have gone camping," Superintendent Hutchinson said.
"Our concerns revolve around no proof of life really (since they went missing)."
The police spokesman urged anyone with information about any of the three missing people to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

One of the three people missing from the Logan area for the past fortnight has been located.
Lelan Harrington, 23 was located safe and well this afternoon and was assisting police with their investigation.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman was unable to say where Mr Harrington was located, or whether he knew the whereabouts of the other two people who remain missing.
Cory Breton and Iuliana Triscaru remained missing on Tuesday afternoon.
Mr Breton's partner was desperate for any contact from the father of her young daughter.
Miranda, who asked for her surname not to be used, said she had not seen Mr Breton, 28, since he dropped her at the airport when she went to see family in Newcastle on January 24.
The couple spoke that night but she has not seen or heard from him since.
"Just anything to let us know he is alive and well," she said.
"A letter, a text, an email, any means of contact... a poke on Facebook."
Mr Breton, Mr Harrington and Ms Triscaru were all known to each other.
Mr Breton's car was located in the parking lot at the Cleveland ferry, which Miranda said she found quite mysterious.
"It was a bit of a shock (when I found out)," she said.
"We don't know anyone in that area, being found where it was found... was unheard of me as to why it would be there."
Miranda said the circumstances around his disappearance were baffling.
"There's a million and one different scenarios," she said.
"Unfortunately my gut feeling is not very good at the moment just due to the nature and the information we have, nothing links together. It's like a big puzzle that is missing a lot of pieces."
Ms Triscaru's mother, Victoria, also spoke of her anxiety surrounding her daughter's disappearance.
"I am very depressed, I am very upset, I am worried for her, she has three children," she said.
Victoria, who is looking after her daughter's three children, last heard from her daughter on January 25 when she tried to call her but she failed to answer, later she sent a text message saying she would be home soon. She has not been heard from since.
Superintendent Dave Hutchinson said the trio are all known to each other and are known drug users.
Superintendent Hutchinson said they hold particular concerns because they are known to associate with nefarious characters and none of them had accessed their bank accounts since they went missing.
"We don't know what's happened to them, under those circumstances as a matter of routine we will treat it as suspicious," he said.
"We will think the worst until proven otherwise."
Superintendent Hutchison said they were still exploring all avenues of inquiry, including that the trio may be on Stradbroke Island or that some of them may not want to be found.
"It's every possibility they could be in fear for some unknown reason and have gone into hiding," he said.
"There has been suggestion that some of them have decided to start a new life.
    "All these are rumours."
Police are particularly keen on establishing when exactly Mr Breton's car was parked at the Cleveland ferry terminal and are calling on drivers with dashboard cameras who may have been parked there for assistance.
"The vehicle was located in ... the Toondah Harbour Car Park, we would put out an appeal to any member of the public who uses the ferry and may have parked there between January 24 and 26 to make contact with us," he said.
Anyone with information related to the missing trio was asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

There's a clip at the link and it says Lelan Harrington had been interviewed for 14 hours by police. It all has to be drug related.

SIX people have been charged with the murder of missing Logan pair Cory Breton and Iuliana Triscaru in southeast Queensland.

Two men were arrested after armed police intercepted their BMW on Gateway Motorway at Belmont, southeast of Brisbane, before 5pm yesterday.

Police said they also found methylamphetamine during a search of the vehicle.

The two men, along with three other men and a woman, have been charged with two counts of murder. A 21-year-old man has also be been charged with dangerous drug possession.

They are all expected to face Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Earlier, police set up two crime scenes in the Logan suburb of Kingston, including at the home of 23-year-old Lelan Harrington, who had also vanished along with Mr Breton and Ms Triscaru but was found safe and well on Tuesday.

Police said Mr Breton, 28, and mother-of-three Ms Triscaru, 31, have been missing since January 24.

On Wednesday, police divers, dogs and a helicopter scoured dams, a creek and bushland around the site but failed to discover any trace of the missing pair.

Concerned neighbours near the bushland said their children often went swimming in the dams that surrounded their property.

?We?ve lived here for 30 years and we have never seen anything like this,? Janina Poom told the Courier Mail.

?We?re at the end of the street so we get a lot of hoons and the like, but that?s about it.?

The hunt was expected to resume on Thursday.

Police are also seeking dashcam footage from the Cleveland ferry terminal carpark from January 24 to 26.

A silver Mitsubishi Pajero belonging to Mr Breton was discovered in the carpark following his disappearance.

He had reportedly discussed going on holiday to Stradbroke Island before he went missing.

He also withdrew $3000 just days before his disappearance, police said.

Police hold grave fears for wellbeing of the two friends, who have been missing for two-and-a-half weeks.

?The purpose of these searches and forensic examinations is to try to identify evidence that might be able to corroborate what we?re told by various people,? said Detective Superintendent Dave Hutchinson.

?Mr Harrington has been here of his own volition the whole time. He has certainly shown every indication he?s fully co-operating.?

Supt Hutchinson wouldn?t reveal if Mr Harrington had provided a reason for his disappearance.

Ms Triscaru?s mother, Victoria, fronted the media on Tuesday in a public appeal for help to find her daughter.

?I miss her. She?s a very good girl and a very good mum,? she said. ?The kids ask me all the time, ?where Mummy, where Mummy??.

?I?d be happy with just one call saying ?Mama, I?m still alive?. That?s it.?

Mr Breton?s partner, Miranda, has told reporters of her fears. ?Unfortunately, my gut feeling is not very good,? she said.

?Nothing adds up ... it?s like a big puzzle that?s missing a lot of pieces.?

Miranda said Cory had dropped her at the airport as she headed to Newcastle in NSW to visit family. ?That was the last time we spoke,? she said.

?He seemed in good spirits. He was talking about starting work with a mate of his that I know who runs a company in trade work of some description.

?I?ve got a million and one scenarios running through my mind as to what may have happened but I just want to know that he?s OK.

?It?s breaking us all that he?s missing ? we?ve got a three-year-old daughter who is wondering where he is.

?He didn?t seem to be in trouble.?

Supt Hutchison said on Tuesday: ?It?s every possibility they could be in fear for some unknown reason and have gone into hiding.

?There has been suggestion that some of them have decided to start a new life.

    ?All these are rumours.?

Police are also repeating their call for anyone with dashcam footage from the Cleveland ferry terminal car park from January 24 to 26 to contact them.

A silver Mitsubishi Pajero belonging to Mr Breton was discovered there following his disappearance.

The bodies were found in a dam behind Coates Hire on Mudgee St in Logan, the Courier Mail reported.
Investigators had been scouring the area for Mr Breton and Ms Triscaru, who went missing more than two and a half weeks ago.
Police charged six people with murder over their disappearance on Thursday.
Mr Breton, 28, went missing on January 21 from the Logan area, while Ms Triscaru, 31, was last seen at a Marsden address on January 24.

A man with a distinctive '4114' neck tattoo is the seventh person to be charged with the murder of two people who were shot in the head, stuffed in a metal box and dumped in a dam.
Tepuna Tupuna Mariri, also known as 'Puna', was charged with the murder of Cory Breton, 28, and his sister-in-law Iuliana Triscaru, 31, on Wednesday after police appealed to the public for information on his whereabouts.
The 25-year-old, who was picked up by police on Tuesday, is believed to have lived in the Kingston unit in Logan, south of Brisbane, where the two victims were abducted from before their grisly murders on January 24.
Mariri sports a '4114' tattoo on the left side of his neck which happens to be the postcode of the area in Logan where police believe the two were killed over a drug debt.
Police said the Logan pair - both parents - were executed with a shot to the head, crammed inside a makeshift coffin and dumped in a dam near Kingston Park Raceway.
Officers scoured the area for two-and-a-half weeks before they found the metal tool box containing the duo's remains submerged behind a Coates Hire equipment-leasing shop last Thursday.
Mr Breton, a father-of-one, went missing on January 21, while Ms Triscaru, a mother-of-three, was last seen at a Marsden address on January 24.
Police allege the pair were assaulted and bound at the unit in relation to a drug debt before they were crammed into the steel tool box that would end up serving as their makeshift coffin.
The two-metre box was then transported to the nearby dam in a dark green 1999 Toyota Hilux, which gave the pair around ten minutes to lay and ponder their fate before the killings, police said.
Holes were reportedly drilled into the toolbox to help it sink.

Logan toolbox murders: NZ man becomes eighth person charged

AN eighth person charged over the murders of two people found in a metal toolbox in a Kingston dam has had his case heard in a Brisbane court for the first time.

Waylon Ngaketo Cowan Walker was extradited from New Zealand this week and charged with the murders of Cory Breton, 28, and Iuliana Triscaru, 31, whose bodies were found inside a large metal box pulled from a dam on Mudgee St, Kingston, in February last year.

The 28-year-old was not required to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning and the case was adjourned to September 25.

No application for bail was made as he can’t apply in the magistrates court on murder charges.

Two people who were tortured, bound and locked in a metal toolbox were "screaming" and "begging for their lives" before they were dumped in a dam at Logan, south of Brisbane, and most likely drowned, a jury has heard.

    Key points:

Iuliana Triscaru and Cory Breton most likely drowned, but a forensic pathologist could not rule out asphyxiation

Stou Daniels, Davy Taiao, Waylon Walker and Trent Thrupp have pleaded not guilty to murdering the pair

Lelan Harrington, who lived at the Kingston unit, told the court he was there when the victims were allegedly held and beaten

The bodies of Iuliana Triscaru, 31, and Cory Breton, 28, were discovered submerged in a metal box in Scrubby Creek in Logan on February 11, 2016, 18 days after they were last seen alive.

In the Supreme Court in Brisbane on Tuesday, Stou Daniels, Davy Taiao, Waylon Walker and Trent Thrupp pleaded not guilty to their murders.

Mr Daniels, Mr Taiao and Mr Thrupp also pleaded not guilty to two counts of torture.

It is alleged Mr Breton and Ms Triscaru were lured to a unit at Kingston in late January over a drug dispute, and while there were beaten and restrained with zip ties and tape.

The pair was then allegedly forced into the metal toolbox before it was loaded onto a ute and driven to Scrubby Creek and then sunk.

The court heard Ms Triscaru and Mr Breton had most likely drowned, but a forensic pathologist could not rule out asphyxiation as the cause of death.

    'She's getting away'
In evidence on Thursday, a friend of Mr Breton's, Lelan Harrington ? who lived at the Kingston unit ? told the court he was there when the pair was allegedly held and beaten.

Mr Harrington told the court at one point he witnessed Ms Triscaru escape from the toolbox, and she motioned to him to "be quiet" by putting her hand to her mouth.

"I panicked and ran up the stairs yelling out, 'she's getting away'," Mr Harrington told the court.

Mr Harrington said Mr Thrupp tried to restrain her and asked him to help.

"Trent had his hand over her mouth and there was blood running from her mouth," he told the court.

"I put my foot on the back of her Achilles [heel] and she stopped struggling."

The court was told Mr Harrington then saw Mr Taiao tie a ziptie around Ms Triscaru's neck, causing her to "choke on her own blood", before Mr Thrupp and Mr Taiao forced her back inside the toolbox.

Mr Harrington said when the toolbox was being loaded onto the ute, Mr Breton and Ms Triscaru were banging on the inside of the lid and screaming, before it was driven to Scrubby Creek by Mr Thrupp and another man.

Mr Harrington told the court the following morning at the unit Mr Taiao had repeatedly told Mr Thrupp to "stop thinking about it, pretend like it didn't' happen".

Mr Harrington then asked Mr Thrupp, "What did you do?"

"He said that he opened the box and he shot them both in the head," Mr Harrington told the court.

"He said they were begging for their lives.

"Then him and ? [another man] put holes in the toolbox and tried to sink it and he was standing on top of it until it was under water."

Mr Harrington said Mr Thrupp had told him he had broken his rule to "never hurt a woman".

'Just wanted to scare' Cory Breton
Under cross-examination, Mr Harrington told the court he was asked to lure Mr Breton to the unit and was told "they just wanted to scare" him.

He also told the court that after the alleged murders he was instructed to burn Mr Breton's ute, and then he went into hiding before he was tracked down by police.

Mr Harrington told the court he had lied about particulars surrounding the alleged murders and had made up a "fake story" to detectives before eventually "telling them everything".

He also admitted to being "badly addicted" to the drug ice at the time, had serious mental health issues, and was regularly in trouble with the police.

The court heard Mr Harrington was found guilty of assault occasioning bodily harm and deprivation of liberty for his role in the alleged attack and was handed a suspended sentence.

The trial before Justice David Boddice continues.

Sometimes I remember this case & can't stop thinking how fucking horrific their last hours would've been. It would've been a cruel way to die if there'd just been one victim forced into that box, but to crush two people together in there, head to toe in that tiny confined space There are no words to describe that kind of torture
