Even if you don't believe in Heaven you have to hope that Professor Librescu is being rewarded somehow wherever he is.
People like him can't just be dead and gone on equal par to people like the scumbag who killed him. It seems irrational but I refuse to believe it.

I teach college, Peaches, and I feel the same way.
I'm terrified of my students.
What if someone deserves to fail? Should I not fail them because they will pick up a gun and blast me and their fellow students?
I wish I were an author (just not Salman Rushdie).
I've spoken to my mum six times today.
She keeps e-mailing me too, testing to see if I'm checking it enough to catch a potential warning message.
Everyone's going to be on edge for quite a while..hopefully it will inspire some new safety precautions on campuses around the country.
Don't some schools send out emergency messages as text messages to people's cell phones?
I know some people don't have texting on their phones, but if every school did that I'm pretty sure the message would get around...

I feel the same way about working at the court house. We had a girl barge into the court room the other day from a side door that was suppose to be locked. She ran in during a jury trial and announced her presence there as a witness. I think that she was drunk. :lol: Any way, it was pretty scary at first when the door was being slung open.

You just never know. It makes me so angry that people just doing their job and trying to better society get taken down like this. Teachers shouldn't be afraid to teach or grade fairly, and students shouldn't be afraid to go to class.
