Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Big Rig on Palmdale Boulevard near 70th Street East
PALMDALE, CA (June 23, 2020) ? A man who died in a pedestrian crash early Tuesday morning in Palmdale has been identified as Zebulun Hogue, 37, of Llano.
The crash happened around 12:10 a.m. on Palmdale Boulevard, just west of 70th Street East.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Hogue was walking westbound on Palmdale Boulevard when a 2015 Freightliner truck hit him. He was within lanes of traffic and the driver of the big rig was unable to avoid the crash.
Responding paramedics pronounced Hogue dead at the scene.
It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
CHP officials encouraged witnesses to contact Officer M. Sandoval at 661-948-8541.
