?WHY HASN?T HE SUED?? Elon Musk appears to claim Brit cave hero Vern Unsworth is a ?paedo? AGAIN ? one month after he apologised for outrageous slur

The Tesla tycoon posted a bizarre series of tweets, some of which he later deleted, suggesting the expert caver had also exaggerated his leading role in the Thai rescue

TESLA tycoon Elon Musk appears to have again claimed the Brit cave hero who spearheaded the rescue of 12 Thai school boys is a ?paedo?.

The businessman was forced to apologise following his outrageous remarks about Vern Unsworth last month.

But he has taken to Twitter again, this time to question why diver Vern hasn't sued him in wake of the remarks.

He wrote: "You don?t think it?s strange he hasn?t sued me? He was offered free legal services."

In a tense Twitter exchange with a journalist he added: "Did you investigate at all? I?m guessing answer is no. Why?"

Shares in his company dived by around ?2billion following his initial comments, which he now admits were made "in anger".

He tweeted an apology: ?My words were spoken in anger after Mr. Unsworth said several untruths & suggested I engage in a sexual act with the mini-sub, which had been built as an act of kindness & according to specifications from the dive team leader.

?Nonetheless, his actions against me do not justify my actions against him, and for that I apologize to Mr. Unsworth and to the companies I represent as leader. The fault is mine and mine alone."

Unsworth is a British expat and caver who lives near the Tham Luang tunnel network where the 12 boys and their football coach were trapped for more than two weeks. He was scathing of Musk's offer to send a mini-submarine to help in the rescue efforts, which he dismissed as "just a PR stunt" and said the billionaire could "stick the submarine where it hurts."

Musk - worth a reported $20bn- then hit back in a bizarre series of tweets, some of which he later deleted, suggesting the expert had exaggerated his role in the rescue.

Musk had claimed it was suspicious the 63-year-old lived in Thailand before explicitly branding him a "paedo" in one post.

Musk added: "Never saw this British expat guy who lives in Thailand (sus) at any point when we were in the caves."

Unsworth had said he was considering taking legal action against Musk for his astonishing remarks.

Last month Unsworth said: "I've been approached by British lawyers, American lawyers. I haven't decided what to do next yet."

"I can't let it go. There's too much out there already," Unsworth told Reuters in an interview.

Asked why he thought Musk would make such a comment about him, he said: "I don't know."

Burt Reynolds, the mustached sex symbol of the 1970s and 1980s, who ruled the box office with good-ol?-boy movies like Smokey and the Bandit, and earned the critical praise he so badly desired in Starting Over and Boogie Nights, died Thursday, his agent confirmed to Yahoo Entertainment. He was 82.

As much as Reynolds represented an era, he also stood as a timeless cautionary tale. After a five-year run as Hollywood?s No. 1 male movie star, from 1978 to 1982, Reynolds fell into a funk of flops and personal problems, including unfounded health rumors and a nasty tabloid divorce from TV star Loni Anderson, from which his career never recovered.

Looking back once, Reynolds said he had something no one could take from him: he was ?part of film history.?

?You die with that,? Reynolds said. ?They can say his career went downhill after that; he made bad films.? It doesn?t matter.?

Born Feb. 11, 1936, in Michigan, Reynolds was a Florida State University football player who broke into Hollywood in his early 20s. The early going was rough. He was fired from a studio on either the same day or in the same year, he would alternately recount, as Clint Eastwood: Eastwood was told his Adam?s apple was too big; Reynolds was told he couldn?t act.

His first steady gig, on the TV Western Riverboat, ended when he quit because, he said, ?I wasn?t getting along with the star? and I had a stupid part.?

Although he became a regular on the long-running hit show Gunsmoke, Reynolds would chase breakout fame into his mid-30s. The actor credited guest-hosting stints for Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show with leading him to two career-changing job offers: a role in Deliverance; and a chance to pose for Cosmopolitan magazine.

Published in April 1972, the Cosmo centerfold spread placed a naked, but strategically covered Reynolds on a bear rug, and put the actor on the map as a sex symbol.

?I can?t believe the chicks are turned on by it,? Reynolds told the Associated Press at the time.

A few months after the magazine hit the stands, Reynolds starred alongside Jon Voight, Ned Beatty, and Ronny Cox in the Deliverance. The 1972 canoe-trip-from-hell drama was a popular and critical hit, scoring three Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.

Around the time Reynolds?s star was ascending, his upper lip was evolving. Clean-shaven during the 1960s, Reynolds began sporting a mustache, off and on, in the early 1970s. (It?s off in Deliverance; it?s on in Cosmo.) By the late 1970s, the mustache was a fixture as much as Reynolds was atop the box-office standings. Hits from the decade included the pro-football comedy Semi-Tough, the prison-football football comedy The Longest Yard, the stuntman adventure Hooper, and the first Smokey and the Bandit crash-?em up, which costarred Reynolds?s then-girlfriend (and the woman he later called the love of his life), Sally Field.

For a time, Field was part of a Reynolds movie posse that included Dom DeLuise, Jim Nabors, Jerry Reed, director Hal Needham, and stock cars.

Reynolds went clean-shaven for the 1979 comedy-drama Starting Over. For the first time, Reynolds received serious Oscar buzz; he did not, however, receive a nomination. When Reynolds didn?t accompany Field to the 1980 ceremony, where Field would win Best Actress for Norma Rae, his absence was chalked up to jealousy. Reynolds and Fields subsequently broke up, although the duo was seen on screen together one last time in the 1980 hit sequel, Smokey and the Bandit II.

After the hits The Cannonball Run and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Reynolds?s box-office luck ran out in 1983 when he released back-to-back-to-back bombs: Stroker Act, Smokey and the Bandit III, and The Man Who Loved Women. ?It turned bad with Stroker Ace,? he would say of one his misfires that year. ?We went to the well too many times with the race cars and the cast.?

The same year, 1983, Jack Nicholson revitalized his own then-sagging career in Terms of Endearment, playing an Oscar-winning role that Reynolds turned down; Reynolds chose to make Cannonball Run II, yet another commercial and critical flop, instead.

In the mid-1980s, in the wake of the death of movie idol Rock Hudson, and sparked by weight loss Reynolds attributed to jaw problems, the actor was dogged by false rumors that he?d fallen ill with AIDS.

Reynolds looked up on the upswing in the 1990s, when he won an Emmy for the sitcom Evening Shade. But the 1993 meltdown of his marriage to second-wife Anderson was a publicity nightmare, with Reynolds accusing Anderson of cheating on him, and requesting that she submit to a truth-serum test. In 1994, Evening Shade was canceled.

Reynolds was in need of another comeback when writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson cast him as patriarchal porn director Jack Horner in 1997?s Boogie Nights. Reynolds won raves, along with the New York and Los Angeles critics? awards and the Golden Globe. His path to the Oscar seemed certain.

But at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Academy Awards, Good Will Hunting?s Robin Williams took the Best Supporting Actor trophies. Conventional wisdom said Reynolds lost support either for his history of taking shots at other actors, or for trashing his own comeback vehicle. (Per Hollywood lore, Reynolds hated Boogie Nights, and fired his agent after watching the movie.)

After, Reynolds did multiple TV guest shots, starred as Boss Hogg in the big-screen version of The Dukes of Hazzard, and had a role in the Adam Sandler remake of The Longest Yard. While doing publicity for the latter film, Reynolds created a stir when he slapped a TV producer who?d admitted to not having seen the original 1974 film; Reynolds?s camp insisted the actor was joking.

Reynolds was married and divorced twice, first to actress Judy Carne, then to Anderson, with whom he adopted his only child, a son, Quinton, named after his character on Gunsmoke. In addition to Field, whom he would later describe as the love of his life, he was romantically linked to entertainer Dinah Shore.

In recent years, Reynolds endured a series of health and apparent financial troubles. He had heart surgery in 2010 and then in 2014, he auctioned off memorabilia, including a Smokey and the Bandit-era Trans Am, and his Golden Globe for Boogie Nights. Reynolds, who also put his Florida mansion on the block, flatly insisted he was ?not broke.?

Reynolds explained his downsizing to Yahoo as an act of humility: ?Quite frankly, I am sick of so many pictures of myself in my own home.?

In May 2015, a frail-looking Reynolds, cane in hand, made a rare public appearance at a pop-culture convention in Philadelphia. He told the Philadelphia Inquirer his absence from public life was due to his work on his tell-all memoir, But Enough About Me.

?When you write a book like this, you have to tell the whole thing, and there are days when everything isn?t wonderful and there were people who I thought were asses,? Reynolds said.

While he appeared in a string of mostly forgettable TV and film projects over the past decade, he was looking to make a splash in Quentin Tarantino?s upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Al Pacino.

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B's feud has reached a fever pitch.

The rappers were seen leaving New York Fashion Week's annual Harper's Bazaar Icons party late Friday at the Plaza Hotel when a fight between the two stars broke out.

Some partygoers at the invite-only soiree captured the fight on camera and posted it to social media.

In the video, Cardi B is being restrained as Minaj exits the hotel.

It's unclear what caused the quarrel to escalate, but Cardi B took to Instagram afterward and posted a profanity-filled video saying Minaj had criticized her parenting skills.

Cardi B gave birth to her first child, a daughter, in July.

Last year both artists were featured on the song "MotorSport" alongside Migos.

Minaj addressed their feud in a recent interview with Beats 1 Radio host Zane Lowe, saying, "I have never seen her show me any genuine love during an interview. I just see how many girls wish they had been on a song with Nicki Minaj."

Here is an update on Les Moonves and the CBS Scandal

Six more women accused CBS CEO Leslie Moonves of sexual misconduct and intimidation in a bombshell report published Sunday by The New Yorker, as reports swirl that the 68-year-old corporate chief is in negotiations to leave the company.

Multiple news outlets, including The Los Angeles Times and CNN, say he's expected to step down by Monday.

The investigative report by Pulitzer Prize winner Ronan Farrow includes allegations that Moonves forced oral sex, exposed himself, committed violent acts and derailed careers in incidents that occurred from the 1980s to the early 2000s. It follows a previous Farrow report from late July that featured accusations from six other women.

In the new report, the accusers, who give their names, describe a range of damning actions.

Phyllis Golden-Gottlieb, who was a Moonves colleague at Lorimar-Telepictures studio in the 1980s, describes an incident in 1986 in which she says Moonves forced her to perform oral sex.

She says Moonves suggested going to lunch on a work day, but instead drove to a secluded area where he "grabbed my head and he took it all the way down onto his penis, and pushed his penis into my mouth.”

In later incidents, she says Moonves left his office and returned not wearing pants and that he threw her against the wall. Other women describe forced kissing, groping, propositions, with many of the encounters taking place during work time, as well as later efforts to harm careers.

Moonves, in a statement to The New Yorker, acknowledged three encounters before his tenure at CBS, but said they were consensual and added: “The appalling accusations in this article are untrue. … And I have never used my position to hinder the advancement or careers of women. … I can only surmise they are surfacing now for the first time, decades later, as part of a concerted effort by others to destroy my name, my reputation, and my career."

In a statement sent to USA TODAY on Sunday, CBS Corporation says: “CBS takes these allegations very seriously. Our Board of Directors is conducting a thorough investigation of these matters, which is ongoing.”

CBS began an investigation, hiring two outside law firms, shortly after the allegations in the original New Yorker story about Moonves. Speculation about his departure rose last week with news reports that the executive was in negotiations to leave with a potential payout of $100 million.

The accusations and investigation take place in a time of corporate ferment, as CBS and Moonves have been waging a legal battle to prevent a merger with another media giant, Viacom. There has been much speculation that the fate of Moonves could affect that matter.

Probably innocent but I still wouldn't allow it if she was my daughter. Nope. And only partially because Drake's "music" makes me wish for death.

Here is the Update on an incident at the emmys

EXCLUSIVE: It came as a shock on Monday when Adam Berkowitz, a CAA veteran and one of the top TV lit agents in town, abruptly exited the agency after more than two decades. As Deadline reported yesterday, the dismissal came after an internal CAA investigation following an alleged incident at the Emmys’ Governors Ball.

Top TV Agent Adam Berkowitz Exits CAA

I have since learned that the alleged incident was between Berkowitz and Ben Stephenson, Head of Television for J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot. According to multiple sources, it involved Berkowitz grabbing Stephenson’s crotch.

The alleged encounter happened right after the end of the September 17 Primetime Emmy ceremony as most attendees stop by the adjacent Governors Ball before dispersing to the various network after-parties around town. (Bad Robot’s HBO series Westworld was a multiple nominee, including for best drama series, and won for supporting actress, Thandie Newton; Stephenson shared in the series’ best series nomination.) Berkowitz was seen attending at least one network bash with a group of CAA agents later Monday night.

I hear that Bad Robot, one of CAA’s top clients, took the alleged incident to the agency’s toppers, triggering the investigation and Berkowitz’s exit.

“Bad Robot has a policy to respect the confidentiality of all of our employees and therefore will do everything within our power to ensure their safety and protect their privacy,” the company said in a statement to Deadline, declining further comment. CAA and a rep for Berkowitz had no comment.

The alleged incident is eerily similar to the one involving actor Terry Crews and ex-WME agent Adam Venit. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star came forward last fall with the claim Venit had grabbed his genitals at a party in February 2016 when Crews was a WME client and Venit was head of the agency’s Motion Picture Group.

For CAA, the incident draws parallels to Emmy weekend last year, when Ryan Ly, then the agency’s head of TV literary, allegedly groped a female staffer in front of other CAA agents at the Governors Ball, one of multiple alleged sexual harassment offenses against female subordinates at parties that weekend that triggering an internal probe and Ly’s dismissal several days later.

Bad Robot continues to be a CAA client. The company’s growing TV slate includes such series as Westworld, Castle Rock and the upcoming Lovecraft Country and Demimonde.

    Update on Musk

Elon Musk must step down as Tesla chair and pay a fine after reaching a deal with US regulators over tweets he posted about taking the firm private.

It follows Thursday's decision by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to sue Mr Musk for alleged securities fraud.

Under the deal, Mr Musk will remain as Tesla CEO but must step down as chairman for three years.

Both he and Tesla will also have to pay a $20m (?15m) fine.

The weird and wonderful life of Elon Musk
Under the terms of the deal, he will also have to comply with company communications procedures when tweeting about the firm.

The fraud allegation relates to his August tweet in which he said he was considering taking Tesla off the stock market and into private ownership.

He wrote he had "funding secured" for the proposal, which would value Tesla at $420 per share.

The SEC said those claims were "false and misleading".

"In truth and in fact, Musk had not even discussed, much less confirmed, key deal terms, including price, with any potential funding source," the regulator said.

Mr Musk initially responded to the charges by saying the action was "unjustified" and he acted in the "best interests of truth, transparency and investors".

NEW YORK (AP) — Alec Baldwin was arrested Friday after allegedly punching a man in the face during a dispute over a parking spot outside his New York City home, authorities said.

Police said the actor claimed he had a family member holding the spot for him as he attempted to park his black Cadillac Escalade around 1:30 p.m. when a man driving a black Saab station wagon pulled up and took it.

Police said the men were arguing and pushed each other before Baldwin, 60, turned violent.

Baldwin was taken into custody and is expected to face an assault charge. He’s being processed at a nearby precinct in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village neighborhood.

The driver of the station wagon, 49, was taken to a hospital with jaw pain, police said.

A representative for Baldwin did not immediately respond to a message requesting comment.

Baldwin, the star of movies like “Glengarry Glen Ross” and the television sitcom “30 Rock,” portrays President Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live” and recently started a talk show on ABC.

Asked about Baldwin’s arrest, Trump said: “I wish him luck.”

An ABC spokeswoman had no comment about Baldwin’s arrest, other than to say his talk show will air Sunday night as scheduled.

The most recent episode, with less than 1.5 million viewers, had the smallest audience of any prime-time program on the top four broadcast networks over the past week, the Nielsen company said.

Baldwin’s past scrapes with the law include a 2014 arrest in New York City for bicycling the wrong way on a one-way street and a 1995 arrest for allegedly slugging a paparazzi photographer in Los Angeles, one of several such run-ins.

Baldwin was booted off an American Airlines flight in 2011 after allegedly getting belligerent with a flight attendant who asked him to stop playing “Words with Friends” and put his cellphone away.

After the bicycle-related arrest, Baldwin told New York magazine he was ready to quit his public life and leave the city, an hour train ride from where he grew up on Long Island.

“I just can’t live in New York anymore,” Baldwin said in the article. “Everything I hated about L.A. I’m beginning to crave. L.A. is a place where you live behind a gate, you get in a car, your interaction with the public is minimal. I used to hate that. But New York has changed.”

Alec Baldwin appears in court for a parking assault case

Baldwin was arrested on November 2 after police were told a driver pulled into a Manhattan parking space that one of Baldwin's relatives was holding for him, and the two men started quarreling and pushing each other.

The other driver told police Baldwin punched or slapped him. The 49-year-old man was taken to a hospital complaining of jaw pain and redness around his neck.

Baldwin later tweeted the episode was "egregiously misstated."

Police arrested him on assault and harassment charges, but prosecutors downgraded them Monday to attempted assault and harassment.

"Mr. Baldwin is a public figure whose reputation has been damaged by media reports that claim that he punched a man on a New York City street," said his lawyer, Alan Abramson, after court. "There is incontrovertible video evidence that has been turned over to the district attorney's office that proves beyond all doubt that Mr. Baldwin never punched anyone. Mr. Baldwin did not commit any crime, and we are confident that once this matter is fully investigated it will be resolved swiftly and appropriately in court."

Baldwin's next court date is Jan. 23.

Baldwin hosts a talk show on ABC and is best known these days for his impersonation of President Donald Trump on "Saturday Night Live."

ABC has no statement at this time.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

    Elon Musk GOssip

Elon Musk's tweets may have mocked the Securities and Exchange Commission, but his court filings are serious about settling the fraud charges that the SEC had lodged against him.

As recently as Oct. 4, Musk issued a sarcastic tweet, describing the agency as the "Shortseller Enrichment Commission," despite having agreed to settlement terms a week earlier that his company, Tesla, would monitor his tweets and other communications.

However, on Thursday Musk and the SEC urged a federal judge to approve the terms of the proposed consent judgment that requires Musk to resign as Tesla's chairman and personally pay a $20 million fine to the SEC. Tesla has to pay a separate $20 million fine, which the SEC said will be returned to investors.

The deal does not require Musk to admit that he misled investors when he tweeted about taking Tesla private in August at $420 a share. Musk later said the price was a reference to cannabis culture, which the entrepreneur thought would amuse his then-girlfriend, the musician Grimes.

"Tesla and Mr. Musk believe that a prompt resolution of these actions through settlement is in the best interest of investors and should be approved," Tesla said in a statement within the joint filing Thursday.

The settlement also requires Musk to resign as Tesla's chairman for at least three years and for the company to appoint two independent board members. Musk will remain as CEO.

Terms of the settlement also require "implementation of mandatory procedures to oversee and preapprove Mr. Musk's Tesla-related written communications that reasonably could contain information material to the company or its shareholders," and goes on to demand an "experienced securities lawyer" who will enforce and approve Musk's communications - including tweets.

Tesla made an SEC filing in 2013 that said Musk's tweets qualified as company disclosures. In the years since the filing, Musk has used Twitter to go on rants against short sellers, the media, and celebrities.
