Finally, about time
May Brooks rot. I can't believe how long its taken.
So I was reading the notes from the pretrial hearing today and found this tid bit interesting:
Im confused about the gun buying.1:41 p.m.
The judge said he is very concerned for the safety of the witnesses.
He said his office is also investigating the murder of Tommy Ballard which they believe will be linked.
Young said they purchased a gun from Nick Houck and are currently testing it. They believe that was the weapon used to kill Tommy Ballard, Crystal's father who was mysteriously murdered a year after her disappearance.
This might clarify things a bit:
Additional information from the article that I found interesting:As part of a hearing on a motion to lower Houck's $10 million bond, Young told Judge Charles Simms III that, during the state's investigation, a rifle was purchased from Nick Houck, Brook's brother, who was using a fake name. Young said it's the same caliber as the gun used in Ballard's death and so far matches four of the five criteria they were looking at in comparison.
https://www.wdrb.com/news/crime-repo...7a5217b44.htmlYoung also said that Houck's family members ? including Nick Houck, his mother and sister ? secretly recorded grand jury proceedings, which are supposed to be secret, when they were testifying shortly after the murder.
"The question is why?" Young said, adding that he's never seen anyone do that before. "I think everyone in this courtroom knows why: to make sure everyone's stories is consistent."
So did an undercover officer buy the gun? How did the police get it?
