Started by barbers I'm assuming. :2angry:
Thanks for saving me the trouble! +!
I have softer, healthier feeling hair, now I'm waiting to see if it starts actually growing soon.
Another question.... I'm adding oil before I blow dry it, and I apply it every day.
Should I get it in the scalp, or avoid getting the oil on the roots daily?
you can use it every day, just make sure you use a clarifying shampoo once a week so you don't get buildup.

Oh, I have a question sauce! Does braiding your hair help it grow? Seriously I barely ever braided my sons hair and now in the last six months his hair has grown so much. Just a coincidence? I would show before and after pics but..he is a baby...so
yeah, braiding can help your hair grow faster because it stimulated the blood in your scalp. any kind of scalp stimulation will help your hair grow faster.

I'm on it. This is working so well. Thanks! :2smiley:
In a few weeks, I'll get it braided again. I'm enjoying it too much right now.

I doubt I do, but where does she live?
My hair is currently three different colours (orange-ish red at the tips, then faded black above that, and my natural hair colour for a few inches up to the roots). I want to dye it, so it looks halfway decent again. Is dying it all a darker colour the best way to even it out? I'm afraid if I try to dye my hair red again, I'll still have obviously different-coloured sections of hair.
Yay! I'm glad you gals bumped this cuz I have a question, tooo!
So...I kinda wanna cut my hair short. I always go back and forth thinking this, because I'm afraid I'll look like a boy. I think my face is kinda cute, but I'm kinda androgynous, I guess. I'm also built like a boy (with big knockers) and I very rarely wear makeup, LoL. So...I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for short, feminine haircuts (with pics, PLEASE!) I'm not talking pixie short, I still want a longer short cut, if that makes sense. OH, very important...I have really curly hair naturally, so it'd need to look good with curly hair.
My fro is growing in real nicely. Thanks Sauce for the tips.

The safest thing would be to dye it a dark neutral brown. A stylist could strip it and maybe get it all one even tone before dyeing it but that would just leave your hair dry. I would dye it a dark neutral and let your hair rest for like 2 months then you can lighten it without frying it.

Not a problem I went thru it a few years ago with my hair. Mine was Fire truck red and black and unlike most people red does not fade from my hair it just gets brighter. I tried dawn soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, ajax, everything possible and then just decided neutral brown and started all over again.

Would you straighten it?
I think the spiky look is kinda cute.

While I'm in here...someone tell me how to get my bangs this perfect. Mine are more to the left side of my head, I like how hers are in the middle, but still side-swept.

Not sure if this is too short.

Soul, those cuts are cute! If I get it cut short, I want something that'd work curly or straight. I rarely have the time or patience to straighten it.
Which brings me to another question...
Sauce or anyone in the know,
I've heard of some product that permanently straightens your hair. Is this product safe? My hair has highlights, but it's only been done once recently. I used to bleach the front but I'm pretty sure all of that's grown and been cut out. Also, if I straightened it and decided every once in a while I wanted it curly, would it curl up with hot rollers? If so, would the curl brush out?

blow dry your bangs the opposite side you want them to sweep, then when they're dry, sweep em over. I do my bangs that way and it works perfect.

You can buy a relaxer at sallys. they work pretty good but are pretty damaging. I wouldn't use it if you have thin/fine hair. Also it takes out a lot of body, but you can curl it and style it as usual. The curl shouldn't brush out at all.
lemme know if you get a relaxer, i can give you tips on how to do it yourself.
