dont forget to use good brushes. never use those stupid eye shadow sponge thingys. good brushes can be expensive, but the best brushes ive found on a budget are at target by Sonia Kashuk.

use a brushe like this to apply the shadow (or one that has a slant)

and one like this to blend the shadow

Those are the brushes I use!! Yaay me! I'm totally going to try the wet brush thing.

Do you know, mantis legends? How it was it all started? It was fighting off this blackbird. Although it was only a tenth of the bird's size, it was a very valiant insect. And that's why the technique, needs a brave man, And a strong one, who isn't afraid of birds..."

I'm going to a drag show this Friday and you read my mind with this picture. Question is, how do you get the colors THAT bright? I've tried wetting my brush but it tends to just make it clumpy. Is it only good makeup that can do that, or would I be able to find something at CVS that would be able to get that bright of a color?

angabel, you might want to try stuff from that new HIP line from L'Oreal. It's marketed as being more densely pigmented than most drugstore stuff.

I want to sport a goatee. Problem is I can barely grow any facial hair. After 3 months it just looks like I got some spread out well trimmed pubes on my chin. Is there anything that will enhance or improve my facial hair growth? Or am I just not a real man? :-)

it may be due to your diet try more vitamins. but a good way to stimulate hear growth is to massage your goatee area as much as possible. it circulates blood flow which stimulates hair follicles.

Hotsauceeee!

While you're dispensing beauty advice, I have a question for ya:

I (obviously) have a very fair complexion, and my face can't carry dramatic or dark make-up very well. I've also found that most colors tend not to work with my already dramatic hair color...HELP!
I usually use either brown or mauve eyeshadow and brown liquid liner and mascara...but I need a change. What other colors/shades do you think would look good on me for both everyday and nighttime, but not overpower my face?
[/quote]

your skin tone would look GREAT with mac's falling star eye shadow. "Shade description: Deep burgundy with red reflects"
its an awesome color, but the pic on the mac site doesnt look the way it does in person.

for day time you can use a flat slanted brush and apply it wet like eye liner, then add mascara.

and for night, you can use it all over your lid and blend it all out. add black or dard brown eye liner and mascara.

such as in those rainbow eyes...
you use a bigger brush and just brush over all the eyeshadow to blend it?
i want it to blend together but i always fear its just two separate colors right next to each other and it looks like crap.

Alright another question. I'm being serious here, so don't take this as a joke. I'm not a real hairy guy, but I have a few taint hairs that really get on my nerves. One time I made the mistake of shaving them, and those hairs came back thicker. Would nair work on my taint area? What would be the best way to rid myself of these pesky hairs? (There is no way I'm gonna wax them)

i guess i didnt ask that question best.
the rainbow one looks good but you can kinda tell that each color blends in nicely with the next.
its not just back to back to back...

i always start on the outer corner of the lid with the darkest color and put it on solid to the middle of the lid (or wherever you want the colors to blend) the i just blend a little so its not a harsh line. then with the lighter color start in the inner corner of the lid and stop where the dar color starts (you can over lap a lil. then i take a fluffier brush and blend them together by going back and forth, but ONLY where the colors meet, not over the whole lid. i know someone has made a picture tutorial of this, im gonna go find it now.

I would do a patch test with the Nair before you put it on such an, uh, sensitive spot.

Nair tends to cause allergic reactions in some people, resulting in hives, swelling, tenderness, itching, etc. I can't imagine having an itchy asshole due to Nair use...I used it ONCE on my legs and couldn't wash it off fast enough, it burned so miserably. Not to mention it smells horrible. I would just shave and use Bikini Zone afterwards. Or wax, it's not so bad after you get over that first time's initial shock.
With all this talk of thinking outside the box, I am beginning to wonder what's left inside the box. -Me
