Sauce, I need your help.
I'm making an appt at the salon for tonight or tomorrow sometime. I haven't had my hair cut, colored, or highlighted in over a year and a half. What should I do? The picture in my av is recent and that's my natural hair color. Suggestions?

You should keep it long and add some layers. Get some gold and carmel highlights, not really light but just enough to add texture.
Probably a dumb question, but it's something to look forward to whenever we decide to get prego.
So you can still dye your hair when you're prego? Does it depend on the type of dye, whatever? How's that work?

It's one of those things that's always changing back and forth over the years but what it comes down to is that Gwen Stefani bleached the shit out of her hair while she was pregnant and didn't have any mutant chuds.

I would kill to have my hair be nice and flat when ever I went out in the summer , or when it rains, or after five minutes in the kitchen...I am seriously damaging my hair with the heat I have to use to produce the effects I want....and I think I really should cut half the shit off ,but I am scared to

My sister is a hairdresser but to be honest I started going to a salon because with the twins and stuff every haircut turned into a 6 hour visit. Then I feel bad because when I asked her about the Blow thing she was so excited. She said "It's about time you ask me to do something for you. You always watch the girls and I never know how to re-pay you."

I want a sister that does hair!
I do all the lil girls hair in our family, like box highlights and blow outs etc , but I cant't cut hair and I hate mine, it's long and thick and dry and wavy and if I keep it up thinking of it I will be bald by midnight!

[/quote]I'm pretty careful when I'm pregnant (I've been known to go off all my meds and become a total psycho bitch) but I'd dye my hair if I wasn't so fucking miserable. I don't think it's a big deal.

I colored my hair with both my kids, they are pretty darn awesome, but ya never know, that last one...I mighta bleached her a bit to much.....

They tell you not to dye your hair or highlight it in your first trimester. After that it's "safe". I just ask to be in a well ventilated area. I had my hair done twice when I was preggers with Millie, and she's okay....so far.

So I researched this after you said something and found out that there's no one near me that can do this and I was super bummed. I was looking through craigslist a few days later and theres a beauty conference for professionals or something like that and they're trying to get stylists to learn how to do a brazilian blowout so they need hair models to show the process so I sent them an email and my picture and they just sent me an email that I'll get a free brazilian blow out monday!

I'm so excited! Yours looks awesome. My hair is just so damn frizzy and it shoulder length so straightening my hair takes like an hour. So hopefully this will help and cut out a lot of that time.

Straight hair sucks. I want curly hair but I'm afraid to get a perm because I don't want to damage my hair.

Trust. Very few people have curly hair. They mostly have frizzy hair that can't really do ANYTHING. Sometimes all I want from life is a neat ponytail. Hair that grows down and not out.

Ah, that sounds perfect. I really hope mine turns out as good. I'm nevous though about what happened to your color, because mine's out of a box brown. My natural isn't too much different so hopefully no one will tell.

No! I had pretty straight hair all my life and decided at 14 I wanted curly hair, so I got a perm. It never fell out. i regret that soooo mch. How the fuck does that even happen?

I'm sure I won't ever get a perm. I'm super paranoid about my hair. I don't want it be unhealthy. I bleached/dyed it last year and I'm still waiting for it to grow out so I can cut off all the damaged hair. All I really do now is get it layered or cut every 3 months. I'm boring.
