Olive oil or coconut oil all by themselves are terrific conditioning treatments, BUT olive oil can strip color. From what I've read, it sounds like coconut oil won't. I have no experience with either since my hair is short and I don't bother with conditioner at all.

any deep conditioner will strip hair color. sad but true.

i refuse to advise you to put bleach in your hair, i actually cringed when lyss said she did her own.

but i can tell you, there is no bleach that is least damaging, thats like saying "which is worse to eat, shit or vomit?" haha

You can lighten it but your hair will break. I have very dark hair and wanted streaks to lighten it up.
I've done everything to my hair and it's always been in great condition until it was streaked.

It went brittle and now I have short bits everywhere from it breaking :|

Slightly possible. Everyone on my dad's side still has black hair. The sides have just gone gray.

I know this is from a convo that happened over a week ago, but one of my best friends got her labia trimmed up a few months ago, apparently hers were ridiculously lengthy. She experienced some mild pain and spotty bleeding, but she went out partying with us the next night. She's totally happy that she went through with it.

yeah she had pain pills. we went home a little early (2 instead of 4) because it was starting to bug her. She wore a skirt though, because pants would have really hurt.

haha no, i don't have pics. i highly doubt she'd let me see her vagina, let alone photograph it!

regarding bleaching your hair from black... it really depends on your hair...

I bleach my hair constantly and its still soft and strong. (I just bleached it from black recently)

Some peoples hair is too delicate for it though. And there is DEFINITELY worse bleach and better bleach...

The stuff you buy in the box, the bleach out kits... I used to use those and my hair would end up being very stretchy and break when dry, it was horrible...

Now I use the stuff from sally beauty supply. I use the blue stuff since I usually have 'colors' in my hair it helps it get to as white as possible... (as much as I need anyway) If you go there they can help, you get the powder and then they liquid that activates it, its a LOT more gentle on your hair...

You can always test a spot of course to see if it damages your hair a lot.

The best way i can describe my hair is asian hair  Ive never tried to bleach it or dye it at all so i have no clue what to expect. Im just sick of looking at it and want a change. Right now its really thick, really long and really healthy. I dont want to do anything to fuck that up :P Youre right on just testing a lock or two. I think ill try that.

all bleach has the same effect when it comes to damage because it does the same thing, there are no conditioning or beneficial chemicals in any bleach that would make one better than the other. damage wise. lift wise is a whole other story.

quick blue is ok, but it doesn't lift very much. i like Up To 7 by redkin.

the damage depends on the level of developer you use. not the bleach.

do you condition your hair? i would just condition the ends and dont wash it out completely. but not your roots or your hair will be super flat.

will loook okay.. but.. I'm starting to get nervous.. and dont' feel like dealing with all the "omg's you cut off all your hair! why would you do that?" 's
