I mean, couldn't she have been alive? I can see it. How was it so obvious to them that she was dead? The ONLY way I buy that story is if they come out and say she was completely submerged. As a mother, I can far easier grasp the concept of hanging on with everything I had to soothe and save my child before succumbing to injuries.
