I think even more so, she was mad at him and punishing him. He claims he told her he didn't want to do it anymore. Although I don't fully believe that, I do think that it was more along the lines of a 'fuuuck you' than 'I'm scared.'
I think she also knew they were going to get caught and wanted to establish her side as fast as possible.
Wasn't sure where to put this.
Convicted killer Paul Bernardo set to marry
TORONTO ? Convicted serial killer Paul Bernardo is reportedly getting married.
The Toronto Sun said Thursday the 30-year-old woman is from London, Ont., and that Bernardo ?has charmed and manipulated [the] attractive, university-educated woman into planning to marry him.?
According to the Sun, Bernardo?s fianc?e has apparently told friends the notorious schoolgirl murderer and rapist is ?innocent? and he was ?a bystander to the rapes and torture slayings of Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy.?
The Sun says it has spoken to the woman on three different occasions and has chosen not to reveal her identity.
In 1995, Bernardo?now 50?was sentenced to at least 25 years in prison in 1995. He was declared a dangerous offender for a number of offences, including the first-degree murders of French and Mahaffy, and two aggravated sexual assaults.
The newspaper says the woman has an ankle tattoo that reads ?Paul?s girl? and during the interview deflected ?question after question about marrying Bernardo, but never indicated she didn?t want to wed him or that the wedding plans were off.?
?He is a kind man, a Christian, a very nice man,? the bride-to-be told the Sun.

?He is a kind man, a Christian, a very nice man,? the bride-to-be told the Sun.
The lawyer who represents the families of French and Mahaffy said he finds the notion that a person like Bernardo could reach out to someone outside of prison and develop a relationship ?appalling and incomprehensible.?
?One is that it?s appalling that there would be any woman would want to wed him after knowing the horrific, sadistic, violent, sexual crimes that Bernardo perpetrated against innocent girls and the Scarborough rape victims,? Tim Danson told the Sun. ?How could anyone be in love with this man and want to marry him?
?Second, the very thought that Bernardo would be reaching out and want to marry someone, even though he?s going spend the rest of his life in jail, is further proof of how delusional and how dangerous he really is.?
Although Bernardo is eligible for full parole in 2018, it is unlikely to occur due to the convicted killer?s notoriety.
?If this is some kind of superficial trick to assist any parole possibilities, my view is he?ll be incredibly disappointed,? said Danson in the interview.
Bernardo was previously married to Karla Homolka, who struck a deal with the Crown in 1993 to serve 12 years in prison for manslaughter after she was convicted alongside Bernardo of crimes related to the rape and murder of French and Mahaffy and the drug-induced death of her 15-year-old sister Tammy Homolka.
Homolka had told investigators earlier that Bernardo abused her and made her a reluctant accomplice to the killings.
Videotapes later surfaced, however, showing Homolka had a far more active role in the murders than she had claimed. Since her release from prison in 2005, Homolka has been found living in the Caribbean under a different name with a husband and three young children.

I just read this in the news..Damn is this chick retarded or something? Too bad they destroyed all the videos of Bernardo torturing those girls. Wonder if that would change her mind about what a wonderful person he is.

Mind fucking boggled.
Wait so a 25 year sentence? or 25 to life? Im wondering if this sick fuck will get out in the next few years.
And also, I do believe that people CAN change but his crimes were fucking horrendous.
life in prison without parole for at least 25 years.

I have read a few of the books. One of which the author gave such a detailed account of the videos it was rumored that he had somehow illegally viewed them.

I think the "Dangerous Offender" classification might keep him inside regardless of sentence length. We have a similar thing down here, also designed to get around law that's basically a hand-me-down from our British colonial outpost past.

She's back.
Check the weird coincidence that outed her. Her sister testified at the Luka Magnotta trial on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, by video link. Magnotta used Karla's sister's address and Karla's married name,as the return address on one of the packages he mailed containing a body part of the victim.

It looks like that monster Magnotta used Karla's married name and her sister's address as the sender. He must identify with Karla somehow. Probably more to come. It sort of speaks in favor of a death penalty, which Canada doesn't have. If Karla had paid that price for the horrors she committed, (including chopping up the body of Leslie Mahaffy, the first victim after her sister), then it might have deterred the monster-hustler Magnotta and he might have thought twice before carrying out his own atrocity which, we musn't forget, included chopping up the body of his victim.

If I repeated what anybody else said, my apologies. We were all typing at about the same time.

Monster drag-queen? His act is imitating babes who chop up bodies. That the connection he was talking about?
He made a video killing some cats earlier in his career. Is that going to be the basis of his Not Criminally Responsible, (Insanity) plea? He was delusional and thought he was simply engaging in performance art? It's a possibility when you listen to his wacky lawyer.
What a ???????

Paul Bernardo day-parole hearing tentatively set for March
http://www.citynews.ca/2016/10/31/pa...ely-set-march/
He is one of the most vilified serial killers in Canadian history and in just a few short months Paul Bernardo could be walking the streets again.
CityNews has learned that a day-parole hearing has been tentatively set for Bernardo this March.
This will be his first hearing ? as earlier dates have previously been adjourned.
Although Bernardo has been designated a dangerous offender with an indefinite sentence, he became eligible for day parole after serving 22 years behind bars.
In 1993, Bernardo, who was 28 at the time, was arrested and charged in connection with the kidnapping, rape and murder of Leslie Mahaffy, 14, and Kristen French, 15.
His then wife Karla Homolka was also charged and convicted of manslaughter in relation to the crimes after striking a controversial plea bargain to testify against Bernardo.
The two also drugged and raped Homolka?s 15-year-old sister Tammy, who died the next day after choking on her own vomit.
In 2005, Homolka was released after serving a 12-year sentence. She is reportedly remarried with children and living in Quebec.
After his trial, Bernardo confessed to raping 14 more women as the Scarborough rapist. The serial rapes earned him the dangerous offender designation ? a designation reserved for only Canada?s most violent offenders who show little to no chance of rehabilitation.
He has since confessed to nearly a dozen other rapes across the GTA.
If parole is granted, Bernardo, 52, would have to check into either jail or a half-way house in the evening and would only be free during the day.
Day parole is usually only granted after a series of successful escorted and unescorted temporary absences. It is unclear if Bernardo has ever been granted either of the temporary absences.
Homolka volunteered at Montreal elementary school; superintendent says no reason for concern
http://news.nationalpost.com/news/ho...mpaign_id=A100
Montreal ? The school superintendent says parents have no reason to worry about a report that convicted schoolgirl killer Karla Homolka volunteered at her children?s elementary school in Montreal last March.
Homolka supervised kindergarten children from the Greaves Adventist Academy on a field trip in March and once brought her dog to the school for students to pet, according to a report by Breakfast Television. The academy, a private Christian school the Montreal neighbourhood of Notre-Dame-de-Gr?ce, was aware of Homolka?s criminal past before she started volunteering there.
The Montreal Gazette contacted Greaves Adventist Academy on May 17 about Homolka?s alleged involvement with the school. At the time, school superintendent Marc Bouzy said the academy hadn?t received any complaints about the mother of three.
?The school has been here for a long time and we have never been involved in anything contrary to the proper norms of the students,? Bouzy told the Gazette. ?There is no reason for anyone to be concerned about the way we do things right now for the benefit of the students in our community.
?The ministry only gives permits to schools that are a safe place for students attending. In no way is it an issue for the community.?
The Seventh Day Adventist Church of Canada, which runs the school, told Breakfast Television that Homolka isn?t a regular volunteer at the school and that she?s not allowed to be alone with the children.
Under provincial law, volunteers at elementary schools are supposed to undergo criminal background checks before interacting with students.
Homolka served 12 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the deaths of two school girls. Her ex-husband, Paul Bernardo, is serving a life sentence for his role in multiple rapes and homicides.
Upon her release from prison in July 2005, Homolka?s movements were restricted by 14 court-imposed conditions.
She was ordered to report her whereabouts to police, not associate with violent offenders and not contact the families of murdered schoolgirls Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy.
Four months later, a Quebec court lifted those restrictions, ruling there was no evidence Homolka remained a ?real and imminent? danger to the public.
In 2016, the media revealed Homolka and her family were living in the Montreal suburb of Ch?teauguay.
