Cary police search for 21-year-old missing since Saturday



CARY, Ill. - Cary police are looking for a 21-year-old man last seen Saturday evening at a church homeless shelter.

Kyle Cuchna is considered to be a "high risk missing person," police said.

Cuchna is 6 foot 1 and 150 pounds, and has a small scar by his left eye, according to authorities and Cuchna's family. He was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, blue jeans and black converse shoes. He lives in Cary with family.

Cuchna has bipolar disorder and had recently stopped taking his prescription medicine, his brother Erik Cuchna of Palatine told the Chicago Tribune.

Anyone with information should call the Cary Police Department?s Investigations Section at 847-639-2341.

9. I feel my friends don't know how much I care for them and has caused me a great deal of problems.
10. No matter what I say, do or whatever. I could never commit suicide or do something ungodly horrible like rape. I just don't have the capacity.

Having spent a great deal of time with someone severely bipolar, I know how hard you root for their success. Hell, not even really their success, I guess, but more of a general "make it through a good day" kind of event.

Looking at his Facebook, he has the most adorable photo of him wearing a George Costanza shirt. I love that shirt. He seems like a really sweet kid. The kind of boy my girls would date.

I'm just gutted for his worried family.

Bipolar Disorder is such a terrible illness, especially once people get off their meds. And to be co-morbid with schizophrenia? Damn. I hope he returns safely. I can't imagine the worry his family must be going through!

I find it interesting though that he lists depression and bipolar disorder, since bipolar disorder encompasses depression. Makes me wonder if he was accurately diagnosed and put on the right type of medication?

I'm more concerned with the Schizophrenia than the BPD.

I have heard anti depressants can make auditory and visual hallucinations 10x worse.

He can say it just to calm people's nerves. He could even really believe that. But anything could happen if he's manic. I hope he's just gone to get his head back together and he'll be found okay...
