For those who haven't followed this case, this article should say "William's foster-grandmother's home". He was visiting from Sydney with his foster parents & sister when he was abducted

Wonder who they got new info on. Doing this so visibly on the anniversary kinda seems like a psych tactic aimed at someone specific

Police revisit William Tyrrell's foster family home on seventh anniversary of his disappearance

Police return to William Tyrrell?s home

A large police presence has revisited William Tyrrell's foster home to search parts of the property on the seventh anniversary of the toddler's disappearance.

It was 10.30am on Friday, September 12, 2014, when William, then aged three, vanished while playing in the yard of his foster grandmother's home on Benaroon Drive, Kendall, on the NSW Mid North Coast.

On the anniversary of his disappearance, the Homicide Squad's Strike Force Rosann revisited the property after "further information" emerged.

Detectives inspected the porch, balcony and backyard of the Benaroon Drive house, pulling out maps as they searched nearby streets.

"The investigative team is here with local police detectives and also with forensic personnel to have another look at the scene here and also around Kendall," NSW Police Detective Chief Inspector David Laidlaw said.
The fresh search comes after details of the police investigation surfaced in the media last week.

For many months detectives had been looking at the potential involvement of a person previously ruled out.

"Further information has come forward during our review of this matter," Chief Inspector Laidlaw said.

Today his foster family, who cannot be named for legal reasons, released a statement directed at the person or people involved.

"How much more heartbreak must we endure before you come forward? When you took William you plunged our world into perpetual darkness," the family said.

"How long will you continue to make us suffer?"

Despite an exhaustive police investigation, no trace of the toddler has ever been found. (AAP/Supplied)

Over the years police have put pressure on several suspects who have since been ruled out. And despite the time since William's disappearance, detectives remain confident they'll solve the case.

"The team is committed to finding out what happened to William and bringing William home to both families," Chief Inspector Laidlaw said.

William's foster grandmother died in March, never having found out what happened to her grandson.

Police have revisited William's home in Kendall, NSW. (NSW Police)

The day William vanished, he was wearing a Spider-Man suit.

Hundreds of local residents and emergency service workers searched the rural township, looking in forests, creeks and paddocks.

Several persons of interest emerged, with theories he could have been snatched by a pedophile, but the leads went nowhere.

The $1 million reward for information that leads the recovery of William remains in place.

Police just held a press conference & announced there'll be major searches for William's remains conducted in three specific areas around Kendall. The searches will involve hundreds of officers & other specialists. They'll take weeks to complete & will go "subterranean"

He says these searches are being conducted as a result of evidence found during the investigation

Well shit's really happening all of a sudden

When police did that recent search back at the house on Beneroon Dr, I wondered if the foster parents were back under the microscope but thought, nah

I was always a little suss of the foster parents, but they were extremely critical of NSW Police after DCI Gary Jubelin was pulled off William's case & charged with offences relating to the investigation. I always thought NSW Police would go after Jubelin because he backed the Bowraville families & said they were right to say NSW Police failed their kids because of racism (there's a thread if anyone isn't aware of that case)

Anyway, despite always kind of side eyeing the foster parents over the years, I can't help but wonder if this is payback for how strongly they shit talked the police commissioner & head of homicide

Yeah, shit is really starting to happen

The CM don't have a great rep, so they may just be making this as inflammatory & clickbaity as possible, but even so, fucking hell, they're referring to the foster mum as "the suspect"

William Tyrrell: Child taken from suspect as cops renew bush search

Police have begun a new search in Kendall where they say they hope to bring the William Tyrrell case to a ?conclusion?, more than seven years after the child disappeared.

The suspect in the disappearance of William Tyrrell has had a child removed from her custody and an AVO sought against her, as police search an area of Kendall where they believe the boy?s body could buried.

Hundreds of police will descend on the small country town on the NSW mid-north coast over the next two to three weeks in the hope of finally answering the question of what happened to William after he went missing on September 11, 2014.

The major search on new ground comes after police received information about the possibility of William?s remains being in the area, with ground penetrating x-ray technology and polylite ? that shows up DNA such as blood ? to be sprayed across the dense scrub in the days ahead.

    Timeline of William Tyrrell's disappearance
September 11, 2014. William is last seen by anyone outside the family at Heatherbrae McDonalds just north of Newcastle.

    September 12. 2014:
About 9am. Evidence that foster father leaves for Lakewood shopping centre for an internet connection for a Skype call to Queensland. CCTV shows his car passing Kendall Tennis Club just before 9am.

9.03am. Foster mum uses the landline to call washing machine repairman Bill Spedding to see if he has the parts to fix her mum?s machine.

9.10am. Local handyman Geoffrey Thomas Owen calls the home about some repairs the foster nana needed on her deck.

Around 9.30am. Foster mum recalls seeing a car drive past and do a u-turn in neighbour?s driveway.

9.37am. Time of famous last photo on the deck.

10.30am Foster father texts wife to say he is on his way home and will be back in 5 mins.

10.57am. Foster mum calls police on the landline and says William went missing around 10.30am.

11.06am. First police officer arrives at Benaroon Drive

Later that day. Veteran sniffer dog PD Gov was unable to find any scent of William from the garden to the nearby forest, indicating William did not wander off.

    September 14.
5pm. Foster mum picks up her sister from Port Macquarie airport and says that on the way home she remembered seeing two cars parked in Benaroon Drive from around 7.30am to 9.30am.
The search comes as it can be revealed the suspect in the current investigation recently had her child removed from her custody and an AVO taken out against her.

For legal reasons, The Daily Telegraph has chosen not to name the suspect. She has previously been spoken to by police but never pursued.

NSW Police State Crime Command Director Darren Bennett told media that detectives were ?hopeful? that after seven years they could finally bring the state?s most famous missing persons case to a ?conclusion? ? either by finding William?s remains, or charging someone with his disappearance.

?There?s three specific locations and they?re all in the Kendall area. We?re hopeful that it will take us a degree towards proving an offence or finding out what happened to William Tyrrell,? Detective Chief Superintendent Bennett said on Monday.

?We?re very hopeful that we can bring this matter to some sort of conclusion.?

The targeted search began briefly on Monday afternoon but will recommence in full on Tuesday, with dense bushland near the intersection of Cobb and Co Rd and Batar Creek Rd to be the focus.

A creek flows through all three areas to be searched. It is less than a kilometre from where William vanished.

Hydrologist Professor Jon Olley, who helped in the retrieval of Daniel Morcombe?s remains in Queensland, and archaeologist Tony Lowe joined specialist police at the scene on Monday.

Prof Olley specialises in water and soil displacement and his expertise will be used to assist searchers in understanding what soil has moved ? and where it has moved to ? from floods and heavy rain since William disappeared.

Archaeologist and forensic anthropologist Penny McArdle will also be assisting in the dig.

Rural Fire Service volunteers spent Monday afternoon clearing parts of undergrowth before an excavator is due to be brought in this morning.

The dig could last several weeks.

Det Supt Bennett admitted that police think the chances of William still being alive are remote and they are most likely looking for remains.

?It?s highly likely that if we found something that would be a body, we are looking for the remains of William Tyrrell there?s no doubt about that,? he said.

?We?ve got some specialist assistance of what we?re going to do and experts from outside the police force are going to be assisting us.

    William Tyrrell. Picture: Police Media
    William Tyrrell. Picture: Police Media
?We?re acting on behalf of the coroner and in conjunction with coronial orders, she will be kept updated
    with regard to our progress.?

William was last seen at his foster grandmother?s home on Bennaroon Dve in Kendall on September 12, 2014.

That morning William was playing a game called ?tigers? on the lawn of the home.

At the time William was dressed in his beloved Spider-Man outfit which he was photographed in not long before he vanished.

A $1 million reward was offered by the NSW government in 2016 for information which leads to the discovery of William?s whereabouts.

That reward remains viable for any such information.

There have been multiple searches in and around the home where he went missing but not one piece of evidence was ever found to indicate what happened to him.

In March 2019, a coronial inquest was launched into William?s disappearance, which is still ongoing.

Nvm what I said about the cops. I missed this info back in 2019. Now I understand exactly why they're looking at her

This was before the foster dad got back home

    https://www.news.com.au/national/nsw...718ca48b6775a6

... The video shows the foster mother walking police investigators through her search.

His foster mother tells investigators as she drove around looking for William, she saw a large truck coming down the road and pulled over to let it pass.

?It was a semi trailer coming down the road really fast. And he thought I pulled over, because he acknowledged me by saying thanks for pulling over. But I pulled over ?cause I?ve just got my head out the window, you know, looking for William,? she said.

?And then I drive really slow on Moore, and I get to the Riding School and I just think, he?s not here.

?And I just drive out and I think, he?s not here. And then I bring the car back up. And I just run out and I look for him again.?

Her husband might be even more blindsided by this than the rest of us.

Wait, what did I miss? What is so suspicious about the foster mom's actions on the day William disappeared? Why would her husband be "blindsided?"

And I can't believe NOBODY commented on poor Buddy the chocolate lab. Geezus, this story is full of more freaks and pedos than I can keep track of.

For years the story was that she quickly noticed he was missing & searched around the immediate yard & neighbourhood on foot. She spoke to a few neighbours who joined her, searching on foot in the immediate neighbourhood, then the dad returned home from his Skype call & errands & she made the decision to call police.

Now we find out that she actually left the house alone in a vehicle during the period immediately after William disappeared. She drove to an area of Kendall that was never extensively searched. During her video walk through with police she told an unusually detailed story about pulling over for a truck - which could've been a cover story just in case any witnesses noticed her vehicle parked there that morning

She's also the only who claimed to hear William screaming in pain in the bush around Benaroon Dr.

And she was the only one who saw the 2 vehicles in the street the morning William disappeared, a nearby neighbour was adamant that the 2 vehicles were never in the street

The parents gave interviews for a Ch 10 podcast & the foster mum went on & on about how close William was to her husband & what a special bond they had. So if that's true, & she was involved, she could've done it all in the hour between taking that last photo of William on the verandah & her husband returning home. He could be completely unaware & has spent the past 7 yrs tortured by thoughts that a predator took him

William Tyrell search: NSW Police confirm one person of interest

NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller says there is one main person of interest in the disappearance of missing boy William Tyrrell.

The three-year-old foster child vanished from his foster grandmother's Mid North Coast front yard in 2014. Despite a $1 million reward, more than 600 persons of interest and hundreds of police searching the town of Kendall, he has never been found and nobody has been charged over his disappearance and suspected murder.

Dozens of police and Rural Fire Service volunteers on Tuesday have continued the renewed search, converging on Batar Creek Road with chainsaws to cut down trees to make their way through the search zone about a kilometre from the home where William was last seen.

Mr Fuller expressed confidence the case will be solved.

"It's not a cold case, it's been an active investigation," he told radio station 2GB. "There is certainly one person in particular that we are looking closely at."

Detectives are scouring several new areas along Benaroon Drive where they will chop down trees in the hunt for evidence.

"They are searching today and they will continue to search bushland and other areas in the coming days. We are hopeful that we will find some forensic evidence that will assist us solving this case," Mr Fuller said.

"I'm confident that the team who has the investigation at the moment, I'm confident they can solve it. I truly believe that, and I have from the start. I would ask that ... people continue to be patient and just trust the officers that are currently investigating the matter, that they are the best."

The Herald reported on Monday that NSW Police sought an apprehended violence order (AVO) against the foster parents of William Tyrrell on behalf of a child linked to the missing boy as police began their new search sparked by fresh information.

The couple, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are scheduled to appear in court next week for the AVO.

In September, William's foster parents lashed out at a report in a Sydney newspaper that claimed investigators were focused on a new person of interest.

"Once again we are forced to watch others objectify William for personal gain ... we've watched people lose sight of the tragic reality that William was a precious, innocent little boy who was taken from those he loved and who love him deeply," they wrote in a Facebook post.

"To publish unverified claims, without consideration to the hurt that articles of this nature cause is disrespectful and devastating."

Police probe fatal balcony fall in William Tyrrell case
By Sally Rawsthorne and Josh Dye
    Updated November 16, 2021 ? 10.29amfirst published at 9.02am

Police have returned to the home from which William Tyrrell disappeared in 2014 and are investigating whether he fell fatally from the balcony.

Despite a $1 million reward, more than 600 persons of interest and hundreds of police searching the town of Kendall, he has never been found and nobody has been charged over his disappearance and suspected murder.

Police began a renewed search on Monday following credible new information, with Strike Force officers focused on three key areas in the small town.

On Tuesday, homicide squad investigators returned to the Benaroon Drive property and were digging up the garden directly underneath the second story balcony.

Plants are being removed, and dirt is being sifted through.

A cadaver dog is also at the scene.

Strike Force Rosann officers will on Tuesday begin consulting with a forensic anthropologist, an archaeologist and a hydrologist in a bid to unearth new physical evidence in William?s baffling disappearance.

Meanwhile, at one site a kilometre from the home, police and the RFS were clearing land with chainsaws.

Neighbour Viv Gunter told the Herald it was ?a bit strange? to see detectives back at the home, which is now owned by someone else.

    Wolter Peeters, November 16, 2021

?We?ve been here two years and this is probably the tenth time they?ve been here,? he said, adding this was the biggest of the searches so far.

On Tuesday morning, Police Commissioner Mick Fuller confirmed the homicide investigation was focused on one person.

?It?s not a cold case. It?s been an active investigation.... they inherited what was a bit of a mess and they?ve really cleaned [it] up,? Commissioner Fuller told Ben Fordham of radio station 2GB on Tuesday.

The Herald reported on Monday that NSW Police sought an apprehended
violence order (AVO) against the foster parents of William on behalf of a child linked to the missing boy as police began their new search sparked by fresh information.

Police will allege in court that the child, who the Herald is prohibited from identifying, has bruising.

The couple will appear in Hornsby Local Court next week.

In September, William?s foster parents slammed a report in a Sydney newspaper that claimed investigators were focused on a new person of interest.

?Once again we are forced to watch others objectify William for personal gain ... we?ve watched people lose sight of the tragic reality that William was a precious, innocent little boy who was taken from those he loved and who love him deeply,? they wrote in a Facebook post.

?To publish unverified claims, without consideration to the hurt that articles of this nature cause is disrespectful and devastating.?

Police are searching for William?s remains, State Crime Command Director Detective Chief Superintendent Darren Bennett confirmed on Monday.

Experts to clarify Tyrrell photo time stamp puzzle
    EXCLUSIVE
    CAROLINE OVERINGTON
    LITERARY EDITOR

    12:00AM SEPTEMBER 3, 2019

Confusion over the time-stamp on the last known photograph of William Tyrrell will be addressed by the introduction of additional *?expert evidence?, a coroner?s court has confirmed.

The Australian on Monday revealed uncertainty about the time stamps on the now-famous photo of William in his Spider-Man suit.

The confusion exists because a metadata report, obtained by The Australian, has both a ?time created? stamp of 7.39am on September 12, 2014 ? the morning of William?s disappearance ? and a ?corrected time? stamp of 9.37am.

There are several possible explanations for confusion over the time-stamp: the timer on the camera may have been faulty or set to a different time zone, for example. The NSW Coroner?s Court on Monday released a section of transcript from the inquiry into William?s disappearance, dealing with the issue.

In the extract, from August 28, the counsel assisting the coroner, Gerard Craddock, told the court: ?I?ve just been reminded there was going to be an application by Ms (Michelle) Swift (who represents William?s biological father) today. We?re not going to deal with that today because we need to obtain some further evidence which will relate to that application.?

The coroner, Harriet Grahame, replied: ?Yes, I think it?s important that that?s dealt with in detail, and we do need that further statement. It?s important.?

Ms Swift then said: ?Certainly ? and if I can park that application until later.?

Ms Grahame interjected: ?I?m aware of what the application is. I think it?s important we?re pursuing it, and we?ll come back to it.?

Mr Craddock then said: ?We?re going to be obtaining some expert evidence that?s going to deal with that issue, amongst other things.?

The photograph is a key piece of evidence because it provides ?proof of life? for William on the day of his disappearance.

His foster mother has testified that he was playing outside her mother?s house at Benaroon Drive in Kendall on the mid-north coast of NSW about 10.15am on September 12, 2014, give or take 15 minutes.

She has testified that everything suddenly went quiet. She spent some time searching for him before reporting him missing to triple-0 at 10.57am.

The Australian has obtained an extract from an interview conducted by former lead detective Gary Jubelin that suggests he believed that the last known photograph was taken at
9.37am, and that the ?corrected time? on the image was the right one.

In an interview with William?s foster father, Mr Jubelin said: ?I?ll show you a sequence of five photos ? we know this is a well-known photo and that?s 9.37am ? that?s the last confirmed sighting of William.?

The foster father agrees, saying: ?Yep.?

The foster father has testified that he left the house about 9am to make a Skype call and pick up a script from a local chemist. He sent a text message about 10.30am to say he was on his way back, and pulled into the driveway to find everyone searching for William.

Police have ruled both the foster parents and William?s biological parents out of their investigation and Mr Craddock has said William is likely to be among the 3 per cent of murdered children snatched and killed by a stranger, who happened to see him run out in his Spider-Man suit, unattended for just a few moments.

Don't know how I didn't catch that, I just read through the whole thread today. Pages upon pages of Bowie yelling at noobs who wanted to discuss the case. Hours I will never recover.

But if he fell off the balcony, surely it was accidental, no? Why wouldn't she just get help? Because I don't buy the I panicked and hid the body thing. I'm Italian, I know why you hide a body. This would mean the grandmother probably knew, and would explain why the police questioned Grandmom's BFF. Maybe they thought Grandmom would confide in her bestie, or ask for her help in hiding the crime. So they've been working this theory for a while. Hmmm...

Wow, this is really one of the most messed up cases I've ever seen on here. It's truly mind-boggling.

Wow, this is really one of the most messed up cases I've ever seen on here. It's truly mind-boggling.

The grandma that had her BFF interviewed was the bio grandma.

The house was the Foster grandma?s

Thanks for clarifying that. It was hard to keep track of the cast of characters in this one.

Here's a link that has the police walkthrough vid of the foster mum talking about where she drove while her husband was still out doing his Skype call for work. I still can't believe I missed such a huge change in the timeline of her morning

    https://www.ntnews.com.au/news/natio...ad544ff20b5890

& I missed all of these little details when they were first made public too

    https://www.news.com.au/national/nsw...16c5f23b7d7bad

... In two statements made to police after William's disappearance, the foster mother said on the morning in question she slipped and grazed her right hand while playing with William outside the Benaroon Drive house.

She had offered for William to play in "a cool climbing tree" but he had refused and got "worried" and when she tired of spinning them around, they returned inside.

After more games, William had become bored and "jumped off the side of the patio" and said "daddy tiger".

When he fell quiet and the foster mother could not find him she told her mother, "I can't see William" and her mother replied, "Oh, the little devil".

She worried because "William is only quiet usually when he is sick - if he was distressed - he will cry, scream out" and "William doesn't stray".

The foster couple looking after William had planned to drive up on September 12, a Friday, in their new green-grey coloured 2014 Land Rover Discovery.

But they went a day early when she managed to get their two cats into boarding kennels.

In a heavily redacted statement released to the media, the foster mother tells police she paid a cattery about $260.

They arrived about 9pm at the foster grandmother's house.

William went to sleep in a bedroom with the foster father.

The next morning, William suggested racing on his new bike, riding on the path off the driveway.

"William rode his bike down that same footpath and deliberately crashed his bike into the garden," the foster mother told police.

Around this time the foster mother saw a "dark green-grey sedan" drive up the street.

I don't know how the fuck I missed all of this. When I saw it was all from 2019 I thought maybe it was because I was paying attention to the bushfires, but this stuff came out months before they started so I really have no excuse

This link has a vid of the luminol search beneath the verandah. The image with the tweet is a screengrab from it

Luminol reacts with a lot of random substances so it may not mean anything.

?Detectives seize car in Sydney that belonged to William Tyrrell?s foster grandmother

Detectives have seized a grey Mazda that once belonged to William Tyrrell?s foster-grandmother for forensic examination as the quest to discover what happened to him gathers momentum.

Police revealed on Wednesday morning that they had seized the car at Gymea in Sydney?s south last week under a coronial order.

?The vehicle was taken to a secure facility, where it is undergoing extensive forensic examinations and analysis, which is expected to take several weeks,? investigators said in a statement.

?This activity relates to inquiries and search operations currently being conducted in the Kendall area.?

William?s foster-grandmother has died since the little boy vanished without a trace from her backyard on the NSW Mid North Coast in 2014.

The car was given or sold to another person after her death.

The announcement of the car?s seizure comes after police sprayed luminol, a chemical commonly used in homicide investigations, at the house on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday, the Herald revealed police are investigating whether the little boy fell from the house?s second-storey balcony and died.

Dozens of officers at the house in Kendall spent Tuesday digging up the garden and combing through the soil in the hopes of finding a trace of physical evidence.

A kilometre down the road, Strike Force Rosann officers were also set to excavate a five-metre square patch of land in dense bushland, following some very specific information they received.

Hydrologist Professor John Olley, who is working with police on the investigation, has concluded that if William?s body was in that small patch, it could only have then moved to a nearby tributary on private land, which police will now search for bones or fragments of clothing.

In the coming weeks, investigators will also undertake a search of the area between the house and the small patch of bush.?

I'm so confused. Is it the foster mom who is a suspect? And this supposedly happened at the foster grandmother's house (who is now dead)?

    Yes, that?s right.

He was at the foster grandma?s house on the day. She is now dead.

It looks like the foster mum is a POI right now though.

At the time, they were unable to be identified or even confirmed to be foster parents, so William?s bio grandma was in the media a bit, which makes things seem confusing.

I'm so fucking sad for his family, especially his sister. I keep hearing the foster parent's voices, describing how she had to learn how to play alone, how to be an only child.

But she was never an only child, her parents had 2 more kids after William & they weren't removed from their custody. So she lost William & "in the best interests of the child" was left in the custody of the foster parents when the whole time her parents & two youngest brothers were together as a family & wanted her back with them

I really fucking hope she was allowed regular contact with her little brothers

    Anyway, all of this

The foster mum has now been IDed as the new POI - that's just from media though, as far as I know there are no direct interviews with police officers confirming this so far

Also, there have been a few rumours that the foster parents had split up, but those claims appear to be unfounded because media have been camped outside the home they share & have recorded footage of them travelling together to a lawyer's office

go to 3.15 in this clip for the journo in Sydney reporting on them

The DM's reporting on Cleo Smith was repeatedly terrible & wrong, & no one else seems to be reporting this detail yet, so who knows if this is true

A car seized by police searching for the remains of William Tyrrell was allegedly driven by his foster mother on the morning he vanished seven years ago.

Daily Mail Australia understands the Mazda Hatchback, which once belonged to William's late foster grandmother, was allegedly driven by his foster mother on September 12, 2014 - the morning the three-year-old disappeared.

A NSW Police source said officers believe an object may have been thrown from the vehicle as it was driven along Batar Road at Kendall. That area is the middle of a massive forensic police search.

Daily Mail Australia has also learned the alleged unspecified object is part of the focus of forensic search currently underway for traces of William, about 700m from his foster grandmother's home.

The foster mother allegedly made the drive in her mother's car before her husband had returned to the house to join the search for William.

The foster father was away from the house having an online business meeting when William vanished.

The foster mother - who is now the main person of interest in three-year-old's William's disappearance - was spotted in public on Wednesday as police step up their search for the missing toddler.

The wealthy woman walked out of her home on Sydney's upper north shore on Wednesday morning wearing a pair of pink slippers before spotting media crews.

She went back inside the house and re-emerged shortly afterwards wearing shoes before jumping into a grey Range Rover with her husband.

The couple then went on a seemingly pointless journey which included a drive past the domestic terminals of Sydney Airport and ended back at their property.

Their appearance in public comes as the police revealed on Wednesday they had last week seized the car.

Detectives from Strike Force Rosann seized a silver Mazda hatchback from a home at Gymea in Sydney's south under a coronial order on November 9.

Sounds like some media are camped outside & following their every move. I really hope they don't fuck things up with their coverage

Wait, what??? So bio-Mom had William and his sister taken away from her, but went on to have two more children that the State never removed from her care? Why didn't they return William and his sister? Nothing about this case makes sense.
