I love how she says "I hope this kid is dead," then when no one responds, she says "a-hem. I SAID I hope this kid is dead! Anyone? Eh?"
Another thread derailed. Sigh.
Someone posted in the contents that this guy is related to William. Not really anything about the case, just thought it was weird

I can understand what Kat is saying. I know a lot of people see death as the ultimate ... but I think there are some things worse than death.
I know that I would rather be shot, or strangled, or whatever and killed .... rather then live for five, ten, twenty years being passed around between all kinds of sick strangers who could do possibly the most tortuous, vile, painful things to me over and over again.
I suppose certain people will now attack me personally like they did to Kat ... but that is how I see it ... death can actually be a blessing compared to the possible alternative.
Also a bit of interesting news on the case. Bill Spedding appeared in court today for bail mention, and is due to appear again tomorrow.
Media today also reported that his former brother in law is a convicted child rapist and murderer.
Spedding's lawyer is trying to use this as a defence against the historical charges that have been brought against him (however, the former brother in law was in prison at the time of those offences)

Honestly, I can see where Kat is going with her thought so I could somewhat agree with that logic. so I understand your being able to see that side, too. I think it's just hard not knowing what's happened to him so being like "I hope he's dead!" just seems like the worst....there's also a possibility that some lady couldn't have children and took him and is raising him as her own and he's happy and wonderful.
my lady bits obviously have a slight sensitive side right now ...I can see why people think I'm on drugs after saying that
Bill Spedding, a "person of interest" to the investigation into the disappearance of William Tyrrell, is the former brother-in-law of a convicted murderer and pedophile, a court has heard.
Mr Spedding, from Bonny Hills on the NSW mid-north coast, was arrested in April and charged with repeatedly *assaulting two young sisters in Sydney during 1987.
During a bail hearing in the state's Supreme Court today, it was revealed his former brother-in-law is Jeffrey John Hillsley, who is currently serving a life sentence for child abuse and murder.
Peter O?Brien, Mr Spedding's lawyer, told the court that Hillsley could have had access to the girls in the months before they alleged they had been abused by Mr Spedding. The abuse claims were also made "in the context of and at the time of an acrimonious ... dispute," involving Mr Spedding, Mr O'Brien said.
The sisters, who cannot be identified, were "tutored" and repeatedly "given very clear and explicit warnings that Spedding was a bad man who would do bad things to them," he told the court.
"What we do know is that in the months preceding, there was a known child sexual offender living in (their) household ... he was suspected of sexual intercourse with the children and he was in the same household in the months prior," Mr O'Brien said.
Crown prosecutor Rosa Sharma told the court, Hillsley had in fact been in jail at the time of the alleged abuse involving the two sisters, having had his parole revoked several months before.
"At the time that (one of the sisters) disclosed what had occurred to her and said that it was Bill who had inflicted these injuries (Hillsley) was in jail," she told the court.
Mr Spedding is one of a number of people identified by police as a 'person of interest' in the investigation into the disappearance of three-year-old William Tyrrell last September. He has repeatedly denied any involvement and has not been charged in relation to the investigation.
Justice Geoffrey Bellew is expected to make a decision on whether Mr Spedding should be released on bail on Friday.

Lol @ Words Words. And thanks Songbird :)
I tried to post about the news today that Spedding has a former brother in law who is a murderer and child rapist ... but it said Mod had to approve post first?
I just approved it haven. It does that for new users who post links, to make sure they're not spammers.
Most likely this is an unrelated historical case, the Mallee's along, long, way away from Kendall, but it's been a long time & with the possible interstate Victorian connections, maybe ... it is on the Victorian side of Adelaide

Child's Bones Found By Highway In SA's Murray Mallee
Edit :Murray Mallee
Updated about an hour ago
MAP: Wynarka 5306
The skeletal remains of a child have been found near the Karoonda Highway in South Australia's Murray Mallee.
Police said they were contacted by a member of the public who found the bones this morning just off the highway.
Police are undertaking a forensic examination of the bones and Major Crime detectives have arrived at the scene.
The bones were found about two kilometres west of Wynarka, which is about 130 kilometres east of Adelaide.
Police said the investigation was continuing and more information would be provided "as soon as possible".
I think Wynarka's about 3.5 hrs from the Victorian border. I wouldn't even consider this a possibility in most cases but because of the caravanning/interstate stuff, I guess there is a remote possibility. When you consider how incredibly rare it is find unidentified deceased kids dumped here, it makes it slightly less crazy - on the other hand Adelaide certainly punches above their weight in bizarre serial murders so maybe they've stumbled on the latest local SA case.

Before BS's fb was hidden he did write at least one post I saw about some seriously long drives way out into the west far west of NSW border etc. I wonder if police have/had an area in mind and were searching out there (I am aware the report says a private person located the remains and reported them). The one I read on fb seemed to be during a time that Margaret was in hospital. There seems to have been several extended hospital bouts for M over the years.
Man wanted over child's remains in SA bush
A 60-year-old man is wanted over the discovery of a child's remains in the South Australian bush.
Superintendent Des Bray says locals in Wynarka, in the state's southeast, spotted an elderly man carrying a dark coloured suitcase between six and eight weeks ago.
"The person was about 60 years of age, average height, lightly built and neatly dressed and clean cut," Supt Bray said.

Sorry to be off topic. Wasn't sure if a thread should be started.
Again it could be completely unrelated but
ABC has just reported the kid's aged between 2 & 7, was definitely murdered & that SA Police are looking to the National Missing Person's Register because the case doesn't fit anything on their books. They said investigators are "keeping an open mind" about this child's origin & not limiting the investigation to SA.
Lots more detail here

“We can say that we believe the child died elsewhere.
“We also believe that the child was placed in a suitcase and brought to this location within about a month but the child had even died some time prior to that.”
<<snipped>>
A preliminary review of national missing persons lists found no details of missing children of a similar age in South Australia raising the possibility he or she may be from interstate.
Det-Supt Bray said that although the identity of the child was unknown, parts of the investigation were progressing “quite well”.

& I know most people outside Aus are probably thinking "what are the chances it's not just some other poor kid", but child dumpings like this are really, really rare here. There may be a case that slips my mind at the moment, but I think this is the last one

This is close to a once in a decade event down here.
This article has a police quote confirming William is one of the interstate cases they're considering
http://www.kidspot.com.au/police-inv...d-murder-case/
The elderly man is yet another possible link to Wiliam's case because I'm pretty sure a lot of these cases are like little Dean Shillingworth (linked above) & involve young parents, not old men.

Good pick up so early on, Blighted Star. Channel 7 just mentioned William's name in connection with this case, though the cops said there are lots of missing children so it could be anyone. I came to here to post the news but saw you had already made the connection and then posted other links about them linking William to this murder. It seems unlikely it's William but then again (and I'm not trying to derail the thread) the guy who killed Colleen and Laura Irwin in Victoria got killed by a cop in (I think it was) WA only a week or so later. When the news broke linking him to the murders I thought the media had got it wrong but it turned out it was correct. Back on topic, the news said autopsy results were expected to comeback tomorrow about the child found in the suitcase, which will also confirm gender.
It could just as easily be a case like the one I linked, it usually is parents when it happens & if so it's probably never been reported.
Our official AFP mis pers site is kind of useless because they only post cases if the family gives permission, so there are a lot of outstanding cases that won't show up for a public search. Even so, I don't think there are that many recent missing kid cases & especially not for that age group.
It's hard to know what to hope for when there's news like this. Every option is a shitty one.
Between 2 and 7? I have a 2 year old and a 7 year old they are at least 2 1/2 feet apart.

Pardon my stupidity but in a place as large and wild as Australia why leave a kid in a suitcase on the side of a road? You must have a large amount of animals capable of dragging off a body.
