Yeah, that won't happen. Maybe if they offer him a deal but I don't think they will.

He will be sentenced today. He went with the judge sentencing him because he thought the jury would give him a harsher punishment.

The jury spoke out. The only thing that convicted Arochi was the DNA found in his trunk.

Sorry to keep posting so much but here's some more information from yesterday.

Christina's family begged Arochi to tell them where her body was. Arochi smirked at them.
The victim impact statements came after a brief hearing in which prosecutors offered further evidence of Arochi's character.
A separate charge is pending against him for sexual assault of a child. He briefly dated a girl in late 2012 through early 2013 who was 16 when he was 22. Evidence of the relationship came to light as Plano detectives were investigating the Morris case.
The case was handed off to Allen police detective Phyllis Jackson, who testified Friday that she confirmed their relationship. The two had sex multiple times at Arochi's house in Allen and those encounters included instances of him choking and hitting the teen, according to testimony.
Plano Detective Aaron Benzick testified that a forensic extraction of the cell phone that Arochi had in December 2014 turned up "extreme deviant sexual images ... some of the most intense" he's seen. He said the images included women being tortured, raped, tied up, and mutilated.
Prosecutor Zeke Fortenberry asked for a life sentence for Arochi. The defendant's lies and deceitful behavior show a pattern of the cover-up he's committed, Fortenberry said.
Defense attorneys declined to present any witnesses or evidence during the sentencing phase. They also declined to deliver a closing argument.
After the hearing ended, defense attorney Steven Miears said he believes this is a strong case for appeal. The most significant issues right now, he said, are the sufficiency of evidence to support the verdict and issues related to the change of venue. The defense sought to have the trial moved out of Collin County because of all the publicity. The judge denied the request.

McElroy tells us she would have been fine with any plea deal for less prison time in exchange for a location.

Bones Found in Southlake Are Human

    https://www.google.com/amp/dfw.cbslo...are-human/amp/

Southlake is about 35 miles from Plano. It's a very affluent area and the crime rate there is like 90% lower than the average.

No identification yet but there aren't too many people missing around these parts.

Unidentified remains found near search area for missing woman Christina Morris

    A few more details.

Law enforcement officials are responding after men clearing brush in rural north Texas Wednesday morning discovered human remains, reports CBS DFW. The remains found in a wooded area in Collin County have not been identified, but they were found in the same area where investigators had previously searched for missing woman Christina Morris, who vanished from a Plano parking garage in 2014 after a night out with friends.

David Tilley, a spokesman for Plano Police, which is investigating the disappearance, tells the station his department is responding.

"In the event this is Christina, we want to make sure our people are on scene to investigate and help," Tilley said.
Morris' family has been notified about the discovery, the station reports.

Nic Bristow with the Collin County Sheriff's Office said that investigators do not yet know if the remains found Wednesday are male or female. The investigation is continuing.

Honestly, I think the remains found yesterday are her. This one really hits home as I have several mutual friends with her. I actually went with the search parties looking for her when she first was missing. Her family was still looking almost every weekend for her, including a request for people to help search this upcoming weekend (this request was before the body was found yesterday). One reason they think this is her is because this is in the exact area where Enrique A. phone pinged the night she went missing. Enrique is a fucking pig. His family defended him, all the way up to sentencing, and then they didn't show up. They have moved away from the home they lived in at the time Christina went missing. (Just a guess on my part, that they moved because he had a younger brother, who actually was a good kid, and they moved to at least get him away from being "the brother of.....")

I hope this is her so that her family can finally bring her home and begin the healing process. I presume Enrique A will be charged with capital murder if it is her. It's too bad we can't put him in a room with Kevin so that Kevin could give him the verbal lashing he oh so deserves.

While I know finding her body doesn't give her family closure, but at least they have her home.

Her remains have been identified. May she rest in peace and may her family finally have some closure.

Thanks God. I thought she would never be found. Sad day, but her family deserved the closure.

This one really hurts. Seeing my friends so sad, it made me completely break down in tears today. While I am so glad that her family can bring her home, I just worry what they will have to go through with another trial. Because they convicted him of aggravated kidnapping, they cannot charge him with capital murder. I only hope that when he is convicted of her murder that the judge stacks the sentence on top of the life sentence he is already serving.

Can they go for the DP?

I kind of get the feeling if they can, that's what they're going to go for. He deserves it

I don't know, I don't think they can since he was already charged/convicted of kidnapping, so capital murder would be off the table (if I am reading the law correctly). I think almost always for the death penalty here in Tx that it has to be a capital murder charge. I wonder though if Collin County will try to find any additional charges they can to add so that it can be capital murder.

I hope he rots, I hope he feels pain. He was an arrogant piece of shit before the trial, during the trial and I have heard he is the same in prison. Would be nice if his parents would come out and at least say they are sorry, but they won't. They still support their piece of shit son.

Here's a bit more info on what Kristmas was talking about:

    https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Bu...476426593.html

The attorney said a capital murder charge with a possible death sentence in a new case is not likely for Arochi since he’s already been tried for kidnapping. Charging for that again would be required for a capital case but that is forbidden by double jeopardy rules.

However, a new murder conviction could bring a second life prison sentence.

“They could ask a judge to stack that sentence on top of his kidnapping case,” Shook said.

Arochi’s current life sentence carries a possibility of parole in 30 years but a consecutive life sentence would start counting years after the first one, essentially life without parole.

'How did we miss her?' Area where remains of Christina Morris were found had been searched before

Volunteers looking for kidnap victim Christina Morris had searched three times in the wooded area where she was eventually found. Police searched there several times, too.

So when a work crew spotted her skeletal remains in plain sight on Wednesday, the heartbroken searchers couldn't help but ask themselves: "How did we miss her?"

Police closed off the area to the public for three days while collecting evidence. They were expected to finish late Friday. Details about what they've found are not being released.
The field where Morris' remains were found was one of a handful of areas checked multiple times because it fit the search criteria. It was a secluded area accessible by car. It was near the cell tower in Anna where Arochi's phone connected the day after Morris went missing. And it had a dirt road with ditches and moisture from a nearby creek, conditions needed for a type of grass recovered from the undercarriage of Arochi's Camaro.

Despite the discovery, many questions remain: Did the crew clearing brush inadvertently expose the remains? Were the recent heavy rains a factor in revealing the new evidence? Did her killer bury her somehow or leave her exposed? Maybe it was a combination of several things.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday for kidnap victim Christina Morris, whose remains were found in Anna more than three years after she went missing.

A Facebook post on Monday night from family and friends states: "This will be a celebration of Christina's life, and we want you, the public and friends and family that have been with us every step of the way, to join us, if you can't be there physically, we know in our hearts you are in Pray and Spirit."
