    Cause of Death

Is there a way to find out the COD from a few cases from last year? For instance, http://www.mydeathspace.com/article/..._a_brain_tumor
I really would like to know how he died.

On one site that talks about their death, a few people called it 'broken heart syndrome'.

Im not sure what to think of it but i think anything is damn near possible.

They never released the autopsy results. I know it's none of my business, but I don't like to only know half of the story.

You could always bump the thread and ask if anyone has more info (I have always been curious about this one too):

I haven't started a death thread in forever, but from I remember, you copy the article and the link into a new thread.

They still don't know the COD. The family is still waiting for answers.

Makes me so sad for his family - the pain of not knowing must be fierce.

    Off Topic:

Every time I see this thread it reminds me that I should tell everyone that there is a new TV show called "Time of Death" on Showtime. I watched all 6 episodes of season 1 on demand in one day - it was surprisingly good and obviously really sad.

    Interesting. I don't get Showtime, but I think there's a free weekend. .

It would depend on which county it is, but I would start with the medical examiner of that county.

According to an article in the Boston Globe, he died from an undiagnosed defect to one of his heart valves.

“According to Rosanne (his mother, who is also a nurse), the medical examiner’s report said Neil died due to complications from a bicuspid aortic valve, which has only two leaflets instead of the normal three, and cardiomegaly, an enlarged heart.”
