They're thinking OJ Simpson, called in Massachusetts State Police to recover the ground they have and help get their ducks in a row.

I'm wondering if this murder goes "unsolved" unless/until one of his accomplices gets in some other serious trouble in the future and turns state's witness.

They were searching streams/ponds near Hernandez's home on Sunday and I don't know if they found the broken mirror cover from the rented (in Hernandez's name) SUV found near Llyod's body.

They did use luminol inside Hernandez's house.

I would also imagine they are waiting for forensic tests to be done.

Reports were they recovered nothing from the wetsuits search.

Interesting that a noted criminal defense attorney not associated with this case came out and said "if this were my client" we would be making public statements in defense of our client in hopes of offsetting some of the negative press creating a public jury pool with preconceived notions about Hernandez's guilt.

Hours later Hernandez's attorney made his statement.

I haven't seen the lawyer's statement yet. Very curious as to what they were trying open with the crow bar when they searched his house though, eventually they called a locksmith.

He evidently lost a key. There had been some yelling heard inside, which I'm guessing was about pry bar vs. locksmith. Silly to destroy a door when a locksmith can open it.

A spokeswoman for the Bristol District Attorney?s office said today that the probe into the murder of a young Dorchester man in North Attleborough near Hernandez?s home is ?active and ongoing.? But Yasmina Serdarevic said authorities are very limited in what they can say.

?We are trying to protect the integrity of the investigation,? she said.

?Once we are able to share information, the district attorney will be speaking,? she said.

Meanwhile, the clerk magistrate at Attleboro District Court, Mark E. Sturdy, issued a statement saying all records in his office relating to the homicide investigation have been impounded by court order, quashing any chance of finding out more information from documents filed in his court.

Patriots' Aaron Hernandez paid a visit by high-powered defense attorney James L. Sultan at home

James L. Sultan, a prominent defense attorney, paid a visit to Hernandez's residence for about 30 minutes.

Sultan's profile on his firm's website noted that "some of his most recent successes include appellate reversals of first degree murder convictions." Those cases were in 2011 and 2012.

Waiting to see what he's going to be charged with at his arraignment. Not sure if it it will be an obstruction charge or actual murder charges

Nothing. It's been radio silence. Makes me wonder if one or both flipped on Hernandez?

Heard this am that apparently there is video of Hernadez driving into the Industrial Park where Odin Llyod's body was found. If that's true that will be pretty damning evidence.

    From NFL.com :

We still don't know everything about the Wednesday morning arrest of Aaron Hernandez, but practicing defense attorney Harvey Steinberg told NFL Network's "NFL AM" he was surprised by how police went about taking the former New England Patriots tight end into custody.

"If it was simply an obstruction (of justice) charge, one would have called his lawyers, and said, 'Look, bring him to the courthouse, surrender him at 9:30 a.m., we'll have an advisement, we'll set bond immediately," Steinberg said. "But instead, they sent (nine) officers over in suits, they had a couple cruisers, and they drove him away, and they made a big show. Now, that's a little unusual for a charge that's not that serious -- I mean it's a serious charge, but nowhere as serious as a murder case."

Said Steinberg, who doesn't represent Hernandez, but has represented NFL players in past court cases: "The fact that they did it the way they did it, suggests to me it's going to be a very, very serious situation. Otherwise, they needlessly humiliated Mr. Hernandez in front of the media. They knew the media was there, and they made a big show by coming over and doing it the way they did. One wouldn't think they would have done this for obstruction."

Hernandez is scheduled to appear late Wednesday morning at the Attleboro District Court for arraignment, where he'll learn the charges against him.

    He was charged with murder-
    http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-...land-patriots/

New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder in the death of a Boston semi-pro football player during a court appearance Wednesday afternoon in Attleboro, Mass.

Less than two hours after his arrest Wednesday morning, the Patriots announced they had cut him from the team.

The developments come more than a week after Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player for the Boston Bandits, was found slain June 17. Officials ruled the death a homicide but did not say how Lloyd died.

Lloyd's relatives said he was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancee, that the two men were friends and that the men were out together on the last night of Lloyd's life.

The hubris of this guy is mind boggling.

...and why did Mr. Hernandez feel compelled to murder his fiance's sister's boyfriend???

Hernandez was angry with Lloyd for talking to a group of people at a nightclub on the previous Friday, a group that Hernandez apparently had beef with.

Hernandez "orchestrated the execution," the prosecutor said...

Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player, had known Hernandez for about a year?the girlfriends of the two are sisters.

Lloyd was shot three times soon after getting out of the car, then two fatal shots were fired through his chest while he was lying on the ground.

Keys to a vehicle belonging to Hernandez were found on Lloyd.

.45 caliber shells from a semi-automatic weapon were recovered.

A warrant was issued to recover surveillance footage from the 14 cameras in and around Hernandez's house, but police discovered that 6-8 hours of footage, from around the time of the murder, was missing.

They were able to discover text messages from Hernandez to the victim and the two other suspects on the night of the murder.

The prosecutor said authorities have tape of Hernandez, with a firearm, saying "You can't trust anyone anymore" before driving to pick up Lloyd.

The prosecutor says the group stopped at a gas station to pick up "blue cotton candy Bubblicious gum and Black & Mild cigars, which are used as rolling papers for marijuana."

When the three?minus Lloyd?returned to Hernandez's house, surveillance cameras showed someone carrying a gun into his house, down to the basement, and that's when cameras were shut off.

A shell casing was found in the rental car after Hernandez returned it?and a piece of chewed blue bubble gum.

    ...

Lloyd's mother was led sobbing out of the courthouse mid-testimony. Hernandez's girlfriend left once the hearing ended, also in tears.

The prosecution's extremely detailed timeline contains exchanges and information that could not have been picked up by any surveillance camera, so it seems likely that someone involved in the incident has spoken to police. (There is a sworn affidavit, but both the defense and the prosecution have agreed that it should be sealed.) http://deadspin.com/prosecutor-aaron...tion-588065097
Sounds like one of his home boy's flipped on him. There was talk today about him intimidating a witness or making sure a witness would not co operate.

Here's the moment he realized he was getting arrested
