Seriously Batman. The hung jury nightmare is only second to aquittal. However, aquittal is not going to happen because she admitted to the actual murder.

Jodi being aquitted never entered my mind! Way too much evidence and like you said the admission!

I will say two and half days. If the jury gets the case by end of day Friday, I am hopeful that they reach a verdict of Murder One on Wednesday May 8 by 3 pm Arizona time

I hope there aren't any JAII types on that jury. If they're anything like those types, they could cause a hung jury or possibly a compromise to a lesser charge.
That was me. The jury I was on was quite civil. The judges' s clerk checked in on us after about an hour and a half to see how we were doing and she commented on how quiet we were as a previous jury on another case was screaming at each other. You just never know what the makeup of a jury will be. I could seen that happening..... say if an initial vote was 11 to 1 and if the basis for that one holdout was not based on evidence but on some bias or whatever. You can never really predict what a jury will do.

Guess this is a good as place as any to put a few "jurors speak" stories.

The jury deliberated for eight hours and decided that Wendi Andriano?s lawyers didn?t present enough evidence for leniency in the penalty phase of the trial.

The jury in Byron Waring's sentencing began its deliberations around 11:35 a.m. Friday and returned with a decision at 2:30 p.m

I also shutter at Manslaughter... Any verdict where she can get out of jail/prison at some point in her life.

My worst nightmare is a compromise to 2nd degree, for she will have "won".

For purposes of the "poll" I am tracking, I am not going to impose a deadline until the jury begins deliberating. I want everyone to be able to provide their input, and I am not a "Poll Nazi". I gain insight with every post, and I enjoy reading the opinions in every way, shape, and form.

If Jodi is acquitted, after she hugs Wilmott and they set her free, is there anyone else who would hug her? Or would she just wander to the nearest Starbucks?

Gus would beat me to the punch. He would entice her with all the phone upgrades she has missed out on in prison. There would be a little box with an iphone, ipad, colored pencils, and cinnabon waiting for her in the passenger seat of his RV. There's still 972 places left to see and the tank is full, not to mention some gas cans. Rawhide!

her mother will slap her then her stupid sister and she will rent a red car to drive fast to San Diego to see Gus and he will give her a pay as you go phone and 200 bucks after she swallows, buy 3 gas cans and go south.Paying for gas with her pawnshop money from Travis's ring. She will get involved as a mule for the ariano felix cartel and be sea buried in a 55 gallon drum off the coast of ensenada.

With all the distractions in this case, and possible conflicts between jurors, and with the perp being a pretty young white woman, and with the massive sideshow within the trial, and with the lack of murder weapon... compromise verdict 2nd degree murder to avoid a hung jury.
As much as I'd love to see less than M1 so the Juan Martinez turd gobblers go nuts on this board. However, I can't see how it will be anything less.
