I've been keeping tabs on this company for a couple years now.  What they are doing is amazing.

They say they will have a product on the market in about 4 years.  I've already got savings set aside specifically for investing into this, but I'm waiting to see if there will be any more breakthroughs with the non-invasive approach, and if those breakthroughs will be made by competition.  I know Japan has something similar that is entirely non-invasive; however, it has a 7 second delay in response.

How does everyone here feel about cybertechnology?

I think this is a great thing for quadriplegics to be able to function more independently than is possible now. However, if everyone were to utilize it, wouldn't our brains kind of shrivel up from non-use. I admittedly don't know enough about this to be sure that would happen. But it seems that areas in our brain would stop functioning if they weren't all being exercised.

Interesting concept, will be interesting to see where it goes.

Actually, our brains are being utilized in new and different ways!  If anything, it would expand the scope of what we currently use them for.  You know, besides thinking and living. :D
