Can't find anything more about this, what is the story behind Jodi & Travis's cousin? Now Nancy Grace ... Jodi alleges Joe intercepted sexual letters between her and Travis' cousin and leaked them to Nancy, who then blabbed about them on TV. Nancy claimed the 2 were getting hitched.

It's been a year, I am starting to worry that we won't be getting the band back together. I am losing faith that we will ever see Wilmott, Nurmi, Mitigation Specialist, & Jodi all in the same room weaving their magical tales. Everyone is making their own solo album now and it's not the same.
Welcome back coconut.

Not really, I come in sadness. I miss trial days. January 2013 was such good times. I kind of wish I could go to a Jodi trial theme park and just relive the whole thing, dress up in a Nurmi suit and argue with Juan. There have been other trials, but nothing nothing nothing even close to the endless festival for the senses that was Jodi's trial. It was kind of like Haley's comet.
He isn't related to Travis. It's somewhere in this thread.
Get ready for some more filings by Jodi!
Arizona inmate dies 2 hours after execution began

She's probably sh*tting her pants!
There's currently a suspension on executions in WA state (via the Governor) and it has caused several pending death penalty cases to be delayed - and they haven't even gone to trial yet. This makes me wonder if AZ will have a delay and if it will give Arias, and other death penalty trials, potential delay measures.
Get ready, you guys are gonna get your wish...

A little warning on the upclose anal pic woulda been nice :(
Well, she does love the spotlight. Bundy did too.
Hi guys!
So.... this should be fun.
"...Jeffrey Dahmer... actually confessed and accepted his punishment. Had real remorse for the sick things he did. It's pretty bad when Jeffrey Dahmer is a better person than you are." ~Justice11 (re: Jodi Arias)
Sorry about the ginormous puckered butthole pic. I figured since we've seen horrors beyond comprehension including Jodi's gaping anus, it would have gotten laughs.
So if anyone knows some advanced legalese, what does this mean? Does this grant her more freedom? Or is she still restricted to only her cell and keeping within the evidence given a year ago? It's bad enough to know she has been given a louder voice, but as Berm acknowledged, when Bundy did it, it was his right. But she's convicted. Why would allow her to do this now after they have shut her attempted fuckery down for going on a whole year already? Even more scary is will this elicit MORE DELAYS? This is NOT a good thing. Even though we would be guaranteed a priceless final shit show, you know she would use this as her soapbox to spew every manner of hurtful venom to anyone that has been in her crosshairs. Perhaps this is the benefit of not having a live feed? Can you imagine her eye fucking witnesses called to the stand? Will she have access to personal contact information of anyone related to the trial? This is really distressing!
Well JSS told her repeatedly it was not advisable - but also that there would be no more delays and trial would absolutely be Sept 8th. Also that her right to appeal on counsel was waived.
After witnessing a Pro Se (self defense) murder1 trial last summer I learned a few things. His case was also a sudden pro se just before trial began, actually only a matter of days - but his circumstances were much different. He didn't have any assistance during his trial where Arias does. Things he got and I'm assuming Arias will likely also get:
Access to all exhibits - just as prosecution has to share their case with defense, they will have to provide Arias with their case/exhibits.
She will likely be allowed to keep some if not all case files in her cell. She may also be permitted legal reference books in her cell, though that is up to the judge & jail.
She will be permitted access to communicating with both her investigator (directly, instead of through a lawyer) and still her lawyers. These calls remain protected.
She will likely be permitted a laptop, though it is highly unlikely the laptop will go into her cell with her nor will it have internet.
She may have additional time out of her cell to use the laptop and/or reference library.
ETA: In my trial the guy was considered a dangerous flight risk so he also had the shocker on his leg. He was not permitted to stand and so during the trial no one stood - including those in the gallery. For exhibits they have interns and externs presenting them. The only time the defendant (and Prosecutor) was permitted to stand was during voir dire due to the size of the courtroom. Outbursts were plentiful by the defendant and it made for great watching.

It is a little bit of a relief to others I bet that JSS made Jodi understand no more delays means NO MORE DELAYS and her ass better be prepared for next month. If she has a direct line to the investigators and also to Juan, I'm sure that they weren't very cordial with Wilmutt and Squirmi, they will be even less with Miss 10th grade know-it-all. I read Juan and Flores were in that hearing and I bet they're having a pre-death sentence drink and laughing their ass off. She has all but sealed her fate but as we all know, we should be worried about her immediate range of influence. How and who is she going to toss under the bus? Not to mention she still has "people on the outside" she could try to contact in the interest of her retrial. This is just too terrible. I hope that instead of giving her the cocktail that makes her heart explode after 2 hours of agonizing pain, her execution should be a televised feed of her ebola incubation period.
Now at the trial I followed, and trust me the defendant hated and did not trust the prosecution or detectives, he didn't just ring up the prosecutor's office but instead received files in court. Pre-trial was all done by lawyers but he did get exhibits and photos. When he asked for things it was delivered in court (usually.)
Like defense the investigator(s) working for her/on her case are private a d not associated with police. She may also be permitted to contact a witness, but I doubt it. This guy had to have his investigator schedule the expert witness(es) and they talked prior to court. He had access to pre-trial interviews but did no interviews himself.
This trial is not going to be televised, though, right?
As much as I would enjoy watching, I will feel a much, much deeper level of satisfaction knowing that Jodi gets less attention, and that makes me happy.
Christmas in September! I need this. Almost 2 years with no trial action. We get to have ALL the evidence again. Gas cans. French maid. Big Sur. BMW gearbox explosion.
Jodi will be a brilliant lawyer. She learned from the best and then let them go because they were holding her back.
"All you bitches are fired. I can do this myself and I need the $250/hour for jail snacks."
Who is her investigator? I nominate Donovan. Also opens up a lot of twitter possibilities for taunting during the trial.
We have to find a way, there must be at least an online stream or something? I can't follow this with just courtroom sketches and online recaps.
The present ruling, last I knew, was that all video feeds or footage could not be aired until after the trial.
Her investigator would have already been hired via the public defender's office. They would have been working with Nurmi & Willmott. As the state is paying for her case she doesn't really get to choose who to hire.
Im guessing you were joking buttttt Donovan is a felon and if I recall correctly part of her parole is no contact with other felons. This is why (I believe) she no longer doesn't arias' twitter.
Also, what sort of power is she going to have in the jury selection? She's gonna be looking for older women in the hopes they're LaViolence followers. Or older and easily manipulated men just like mr jury foreman. All it takes is one to fuck this up and rob the people that really count the justice and peace they deserve.
Unless AZ does it differently, she'll be doing her own voir dire questioning and choosing. Clients tend to have at least somewhat of an active role, even if it's talking with counsel during recesses. Since she's been through the process before, if she paid attention, she should be OK. Or she could waste her time - who knows.
Of I were her I'd try to find more of the jury foreman.
Let's also not forget, again unless AZ does it different, when testifying she has to ask and answer her own questions.
