Yeah it's very hard to freeze to death in LA and it would certainly take a lot of time.

This must've been posted already because it's from 2015, but I don't remember seeing this theory. It makes sense though so I'll post it to save us all searching the whole thread

(Just realised it details her clothes too)

Blighted, thanks for replacing the video. I don't have all that much experience with horror and only watched this clip - can you help explain how the movie is like her death? I get the water tank part but I don't understand what is going on in the movie clip. The water tank types seem different compared to the photos of the hotel, too.

I haven't seen an article that explains the connection to the movie (beyond both having water tanks) soif I'm missing an article, please just refer me back. I can be dense. Thanks!!

It's just an example - an uncanny example, because of the lift/water tower and the fact the residents alerted due to the gross water etc.

Elisa Lam is a Youtube phenom - if you sus it, there's a BUNCH of good vids on it, I say good as in decent people sussing it all. If you want suggestions PM me!

I'm kinda surprised we haven't really heard anything from the roommates who complained about her odd behavior.

I'm watching the documentary and man! I can't believe my friend stayed there before and after Elisa died. I'm not sure of the time period.

The name is in the article Beli posted.
"Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel"
I can and can't believe the number of whackos that wanted to see the elevator, the room, the roof, etc. where Elisa was and died.

Same. That stuff fascinates me. I'm one of those people who reads a lot of history/true crime, and I always feel the need to physically be in the place(s) that I'm reading about.

I'm watching the doc about this case right now. They spread it out into a whole mini series, so idk if it will keep my attention. I'll report back.

They come across as ghouls that would slowly drive by and film a fiery car accident as they talk about how much the car accident victims touched their lives.

It's like if National Enquirer put out true crime docs. Horrible.
Shut it off during episode 2. Amateurish and a joke. Told Netflix to study HBO docs and take notes.

Same here. I knew Mr. Tisha was the one for me when we found ourselves in Selmer, TN for a funeral and I had him drive by the Mary Winkler crime scenes. He never questioned my sanity, he just knew.

I half watched it. They were really trying their hardest to drag that shit out.
