Bryan Thomas Cassard passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the age of 24. Cherished fiance' of Gabrielle Facio. Loving father of Bryce Thomas Cassard. Beloved son of Diane Cassard Bradley and the late Edward L. Cassard, Sr. Step-son of Dennis Bradley who helped raise him from the age of 8. Brother of Eddie L. Cassard, Jr. and Dylan J. Bradley. Grandson of Raymond and Margaret Bradley and the late Vivian Carey Dorand (Ernie). Also survived by many great friends. Bryan was a 2007 graduate of Chalmette High School where he was a star athlete in basketball and track. Relatives, friends also employees of St. Bernard Parish Recreational Dept., Wal-Mart (Chalmette Location), St. Bernard Parish School Board and Coburn's Supply are invited to attend a memorial visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will be private. Bryan Cassard was born on September 22, 1988 in New Orleans, LA. He lives in Chalmette, LA which is right outside of New Orleans. His parents are Eddie Cassard and Diane Lee. He has an older brother named Eddie Jr. His father passed away when he was young. His mother got remarried to Dennis Bradley. They have a child together named Dylan Bradley. He graduated from Chalmette High School in 2007. He play basketball and track for CHS. He was chosen to the All-District team in basketball. The team lost in the 1st round of the playoffs. He won the district MVP in track coming in 1st place in all three of his events, which were the long jump, the high jump, and the triple jump. He made it to the state meet in Baton Rouge, LA (LSU) for the long jump which he came in 8th place. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU) in Hammond,LA for the fall semester. Then he attended Nunez Community College in Chalmette, LA for the spring semester.
