A New York City nanny who murdered two young children in 2012 was sentenced today to life in prison without parole after the victims' father argued she should "live, rot and die" behind bars.

This case still baffles the hell out of me. If the nanny was sane, she would try her hardest to keep her job where she was probably paid well and was close with the family. Obviously she didn't have post partum depression, was she schizophrenic?

It's just bothering me that I don't know why she did it.

Her families explanation that she was "depressed and it was an accident" makes no sense and i could see where that would piss people off. They should probably stop talking to the press.
