Now that I've seen the premiere of Walking Dead, I'm less enthused about this. THAT was how a season premiere should be. This was kinda meh.

i can like two shows
barring season one, AHS has had its highs and lows. i'm not going to write it off because one episode didn't meet my expectations. i'm looking forward to the season.
a lot of people seemed pissed off about the modern songs being used in this season. i kind of liked it. david bowie
I just thought it was incredibly stupid. If there is one thought I've never had, it's "I wish American Horror Story was more like Glee."
On Kathy Bates' accent:
What is Ethel’s accent? Where is she from?
Kathy came up with that idea which I love. She thought that Ethel would be from Baltimore. So we’re saying in that period the two most famous things to come out of Baltimore were Kathy Bates’ character and Wallis Simpson. She worked really hard on her Baltimore-ese. Somebody watched a screening of the first episode and said, “I thought Kathy Bates was out of a John Waters movie.” And I’m like “You’re right!” Because that’s set in Baltimore and back in the day, the accents were even thicker. But I love that. I love when she says “spektakular.”
I love the differing opinions regarding this show/horror. I absolutely LOVED LOVE Murder House and Coven. On the fence so far, but think I will like this season. I think it is just a fun entertaining ride!
So far, I think this show pretty much blows. Maybe my opinion will change later on, IDK.
It's hard to look over the fact that people are okay with the clown dude during the daylight hours. Then the Glee singing. UGH. There are several other things that bother me, but those are the few right on top
ETA: Plus the two headed girl was singing "Criminal" by Fiona Apple. I'm not exactly sure when that song came out (maybe the early 2000) but it damn sure wasn't the 50's.

Yes that was fucking horrible. The whole intrusion of the Glee shit is goddamn retarded and doesn't mesh at all. I hate it.
Also once again they have managed to not have a single likable character as a main character. Jessica Lange's character doesn't even make sense unless they're going to reveal that she was a siamese twin at one point too or something. Otherwise her motivations just seem 'Jessica Lange needs to be two faced in every season'.
I know they're trying to redeem Lobster boy but he still murdered someone in the first episode for calling his freaks freaks so meh.
BUT JESSICA LANGE NEEDS TO BE CREEPY.
Yeah I'm also not intrigued. And I hate the annoying rich kid character. Annoying as fuck and also is so totally artificial/some character stolen from Cry Baby that the plotline is incredibly fake and doesn't appeal to me.
My husband is watching the first episode. I don't think he cares for this show so far.
Yeah I think I'm pretty over it. Last week's episode was awful. The Glee thing is embarrassing.
I'm digging it. I also agree that making the freaks out as evil right from the get go was a mistake though. I did have sympathy for poor Meep
If you notice though, not ALL of the freaks are evil. Perhaps it's setting the scene for things to come.
I'm not going to judge too harshly since it's only 2 episodes in. I love the visuals and they're spot on with the 50s setting and set decor. Some is meant to be tongue and cheek. Line the scene with the couple making out in the field and when Francis Conroy asks Twisty if he does kid's parties lol.
I agree that they're shooting the Twins separately to give them independent personalities.
I do agree that the Glee thing is annoying though and I don't understand the slipping modern stuff in like it belongs thing. But the little annoyances aren't turning me off just yet. Being hard to follow or understand is nothing new. The whole first season was like that. And there were also a ton of unrealistic instances in that season as well but it managed to wrap up neatly in the end.
Well, the first season was great until the last episode which was fucking terrible and there were like 10 million plot holes that never had any point.
First episode I loved the second was eh. I still have high hopes but I think me reading every article that showed up ruined all the surprises for the second episode. I hope I'm home to watch the third tomorrow.
I hate to repeat stuff, but this latest episode was bad. Very bad.
I'm use to AHS being strange/weird, but this is totally different. It's like they just decided to get the freakish characters they could find, then they threw them in a show without any real story line. Then they said "let Jessica Lange sing" and lets murder people.
I don't get Dandy's character at all. I don't get the weird clown either. I'm confused about 2-face.
Something just feels off about the show now. Maybe it got to popular and they are trying to hard????
