Daniel Kelsall was found guilty of murdering Sydney man Morgan Huxley

Sydney's media, especially those with links to "elite" suburbs are going completely nuts over this story & have been for the past week so I guess it's time I got around to posting it. The media are really going crazy on it because it happened where THEY live - so I'll try & do articles chronologically so you can see it unfold like Sydney has - keep in mind this is being sensationalised to the extreme :

Morgan Huxley drinking alone night he was stabbed to death at home

Emma Partridge Thu, Sep 12 2013

A man who was stabbed to death in his north shore unit spent his final moments enjoying a drink at his local pub by himself. Morgan Huxley, 31, was seen drinking at the Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay just hours before he was fatally stabbed in his unit, just around the corner, in the early hours of Sunday. Police are looking into the possibility that someone who knew Mr Huxley was responsible for his death and whether they were waiting for him when he arrived home. Mr Huxley was dressed in a T-shirt and shorts with sunglasses on his head when he arrived at the pub about 1am.

It is believed he was out with friends before arriving at the Oaks. He had been a well-liked regular at the pub for the past 10 years. Fairfax Media understands Mr Huxley was seen leaving the Military Road hotel about 1.30am. A friend of his, who did not wish to be named, said those who knew him were in shock. "He was a really nice guy, a knockabout bloke and never caused anyone any trouble. Sounds like a very unprovoked attack and it is mind blowing." Another friend, Hannah Watt, took to Facebook to pay tribute to Mr Huxley. "Morgan, it was great getting to know you ... wish we could've spent more time together xxx," she posted.

After leaving the hotel it is believed he walked home to his Watson Street unit, which was only 200 metres away. What happened next is not known but his Irish flatmate found him suffering from multiple stab wounds in his bedroom about 3am, police said. The woman he shared the unit with told police she had no idea what had happened but was woken by a noise. Paramedics took him to the Royal North Shore Hospital but he was pronounced dead a short time later. Police have not disclosed where or how many times he was stabbed or what type of weapon was used. Detectives have viewed security footage taken from outside several businesses along Military Road. One business owner said police were interested in viewing footage taken on Military Road between the hours of 12.15am and 3am.

Homicide detectives and Harbourside police are investigating Mr Huxley?s death under Strike Force Bandt. Police are appealing to the public for information and asking for anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity on Watson Street in the early hours of Sunday to come forward. Mr Huxley owned and worked for his small business, Huxley Marine, which was registered at a Balmain address. He graduated from Hunters Hill High School in 2000 before going to Sydney TAFE at Ultimo.

Mourning friends and family have expressed their grief over the stabbing death of Morgan Huxley as police investigate whether his killer was someone he knew well.

Police say they are looking at Mr Huxley's previous relationships after he was stabbed multiple times in his Neutral Bay unit.

One of his close friends, Stewart McDonald, said he would miss spending time with his mate on Sydney Harbour.

"Wish we were sitting on a barge again talkin dang and having a few lazy beerios mate. Every day on the harbour for 4 years, not a day went by where you didnt put a smile on my face mate. I miss you and always will," Mr McDonald said on an obituary page.

One of his football friends, Rhydian Giles, described his death as a tragedy.

"A real larger than life character who brightened the lives of everyone around him. A real tragedy - RIP Mate," Mr Giles said.

Just hours before his death, small-business owner Mr Huxley was a enjoying a drink by himself at his local pub, the Oaks Hotel.

Security footage captures the 31-year-old walking into the Military Hotel at 1.01am dressed in a T-shirt and shorts, with his sunglasses on his head. He appeared to be barefoot.

The well-known regular, adored by many of the bar staff, is then seen leaving around closing time, about 1.30am.

A short time later his Irish flatmate found him suffering from stab wounds in the bedroom of the Watson Street unit they shared.

Police said the woman called triple-0 and they did not believe she had any involvement in his death.

A resident who lived in the same Oakleigh unit complex said police at the scene had told her the attack was not random. It is understood police were escorting residents as they took their garbage bags to a communal rubbish room in the days after Mr Huxley's death.

"I'm not concerned if it's not random. I would be concerned if there was some nutter running around stabbing people, but it doesn't seem like that's the case," the resident said.

A number of residents have told Fairfax Media police spent hours scouring through the bins on Watson Street and Laycock Avenue, which is behind the block.

Mr Huxley was the loved son of Allan and Dee, brother of Tiffany and Oliver, and dear friend of many.

A funeral will be held next Tuesday.

On Thursday detectives were still visiting businesses on Military Road to view any security footage taken on the night.

One business owner said police were interested in viewing footage taken between 12.15am and 3am.

Homicide detectives and Harbourside police are investigating Mr Huxley's death under Strike Force Bandt.

A MURDERED man found stabbed 28 times in the torso was the star of an award-winning children's book dedicated to him by his illustrator mother.

While homicide detectives continued to scrutinise the private life and relationships of Neutral Bay man Morgan Huxley, 31, and hunt for his killer, friends remembered a charming guy who was popular with everyone, including women.

When he was a child, Mr Huxley's mother, Dee Huxley, a well-known children's book illustrator, dedicated a story to him - "Morgan and the Tooth Fairies".

"What do tooth fairies really look like? What do they do with all the teeth they collect? Morgan sets out to find the answers to these and several perennial questions in this enjoyable picture book," says its cover blurb.

Mr Huxley was found dying on the bedroom floor of his rented Watson St unit in the early hours of Sunday morning, suffering 28 stab and slash wounds. He was rushed to hospital but couldn't be revived.

The Daily Telegraph yesterday revealed police were looking closely at the possibility Mr Huxley's killer was a scorned female lover, who attacked him in a "wild and frenzied" way.

But close friends of Mr Huxley said he wasn't the sort of person who made enemies.

"He was an outgoing, social, confident guy. He didn't upset anyone, he embraced people," friend Steven McDonald said.

A former colleague, Chris Dunn, said Mr Huxley was a "true gentleman". "You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who didn't like Morgs," he said.

Mr Huxley was last seen leaving The Oaks Hotel on Military Rd, Neutral Bay at 1.30am, after a few quiet drinks on his own.

His flatmate found him dying in his bedroom, just before 3am.

Detectives yesterday returned to Mr Huxley's unit and left carrying a grey-coloured suit and a white shirt on a coat hanger, a motorcycle helmet and a jacket.

The flatmate, an Irish woman, who discovered the man's unconscious body, has moved out and is too traumatised to return.

A neighbour said she was home at the time Mr Huxley was attacked, and recalled unusual noises from the apartment downstairs .

"I may have heard someone moaning, I just can't be sure because there's a lot of noise around here," the woman said.

A funeral service for Mr Huxley will be held on Tuesday at Macquarie Park Crematorium.
The Daily Telegraph (Sydney) Australia Wed, 18 Sep 2013 JOHN LEHMANN EDITOR-AT-LARGE TEARS FOR MORGAN

Stab victim’s family describe the horror of losing ‘Mog’

WITH tears and a few jokes, family and friends farewelled “ladies man” murder victim Morgan Huxley yesterday – and vowed to help find his killer. Among the mourners was Mr Huxley’s flatmate Jean Redmond, who found him covered in blood with nearly 30 stab wounds. Ms Redmond was comforted by her boyfriend Ertan Ucar at the service. Throughout the service, detectives in unmarked cars watched from a discreet distance amid fears the victim knew his killer. AS tears streamed down their faces, the family of Neutral Bay “ladies man” murder victim Morgan Huxley vowed yesterday to get justice for the larger-than-life personality, who ended every story with laughter.

“You were taken from us in a way which can only be described as horrific,’’ his brother Oliver Huxley said in a note read to more than 400 mourners who crowded into the Macquarie Park Crematorium chapel at North Ryde for his funeral.

Describing his 31-year-old brother’s killing as “cowardly and heinous’’, Oliver promised to find “your deserved justice’’.

Morgan, who was stabbed 28 times in the bedroom of his Watson St apartment in Neutral Bay in the early hours of September 8, was remembered as a s port s - l ovi ng raconteur with a cheeky smile, who taught his friends to “slow down and love the world’’.

As police continued to unravel his relationships with several different women to look for clues, one former girlfriend told how he loved big nights out with his large circle of friends.

In a speech dripping with emotion, Jessica Hall told how she fell in love with Morgan in Year 6 at Lane Cove Public School because he was a “fast runner and liked my handwriting”.

She recounted how they had spent most of their 20s together and “some of my happiest days were spent on the Harbour” watching Morgan work as he built pontoons.

Morgan’s flatmate, Irish physiotherapist Jean Redmond, who discovered him bleeding to death in his bedroom about 3am, fought back tears throughout the 90-minute service while being comforted by her boyfriend Ertan Ucar.

As Coldplay’s ballad The Scientist rang out across the chapel, Morgan’s yellow and green coffin, topped with black and white checks in celebration of his boyhood hero, the late Brazilian Formula One champion Ayrton Senna, was carried in.

Funeral director David Reardon told the crowd to try to celebrate his life, even though he had been “taken so cruelly” in such “barbaric fashion."

The former long-time girlfriend of stabbing victim Morgan Huxley has told mourners at his funeral how the happiest days of her life were with him, and how she feared the days ahead. "When I was in his arms it felt like home and I will cherish these memories forever," Jessica Hall said. Her words were spoken to more than 300 people who mourned Mr Huxley at Macquarie Park Crematorium on Tuesday. Detectives were present at the service, mindful of the possibility the person responsible for stabbing him in his Neutral Bay apartment might attend.

As family and friends remembered a car-loving larrikin, police were busy conducting a forensic review of evidence from the 31-year-old's home. A homicide detective said police were examining several items taken from the small business owner's apartment and closely looking at fingerprints and DNA samples found in his bedroom.Mr Huxley was stabbed more than a dozen times in his Watson Street apartment after spending the day at a friend's engagement party near Lane Cove. Ms Hall recalled the pair's travels in Tasmania, Italy and the Whitsundays, and told of how she would pretend to study as Mr Huxley worked on jetties around Sydney Harbour as part of his small business, Huxley Marine.

Although the pair had not been dating at the time of his death, she said she would always love him. "We still love the shit out of each other," a phrase she said Mr Huxley often used. "I will miss his cheekiness and the sparkle in his brown eyes. I loved how he put people at ease with his honesty ... This is no doubt why he had so many friends." A blue Lamborghini escorted Mr Huxley's hearse to the funeral, where friends and his brother Oliver then carried his bright-yellow, racing car-themed coffin. Oliver Huxley promised to seek justice for his sibling. "You were taken from us and you were so cheaply removed from your life," he said in a letter read out at the service. "I promise we will get your deserved justice. I love you more than you will ever know."

Close friends, including Chris Moroney, talked of Mr Huxley's love of boats, cars and his inquisitive nature. Mr Huxley was described as having "a talent for creating things", a gifted sportsman, who loved soccer, cars and felt strongly about environmental issues. "What you see is what you got and we all loved that about him,"; one mate said. "Morg we love you, thank you for your friendship." A tribute penned by his father Allan read: "You don't know how happy you used to make us." Sister Tiffany thanked her brother for all the laughs. "I'm sure you'll be making noise wherever you are. I'm so proud to be your big sister, she said."

Mr Huxley was last seen leaving the Oaks Hotel by himself about 1.30am on September 8. At 3am, his Irish flatmate Jean Redmond found him with stab wounds and wearing only a T-shirt in his bedroom. Police are trying to narrow down his last known movements
Friends remembered that, as a schoolboy, Morgan’s natural talents were many — whether it be scoring soccer goals from halfway, riding the fastest BMX and “teeing off with granny smith apples”.

His passions ran deep — he adored animals, adopting a lion in Africa and calling his dog “Senna”, loved boats, once buying a prawn trawler to restore, and was often the last to leave a party.

His sister Tiffany remembered his “silly dances” and said she was sure he’d still be making “plenty of noise” no matter where he was.

“It will never be the same without you, but I will see you in a sunny day, in a raindrop, in a spider’s web,’’ she said, describing her little brother as “little Mog”, although he was a strapping man, standing almost 190cm tall.

Morgan had been celebrating an engagement party on the Saturday afternoon and evening, in the hours leading up to his death. About 1am, on Sunday, September 8, he dropped into his local, The Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay. After drinking a beer, he was seen leaving about 1.30am, making the 150m walk to his apartment, where he had lived for more than five years.

His father and mother, Allan and Dee Huxley, were too emotional to speak at the service. But in a note, his father said: “In my heart my beautiful boy, you’ll never walk alone.’
Police armed with garden hoes and torches scoured the streets of Neutral Bay for evidence into the killing of young businessman Morgan Huxley, who was stabbed to death in the early hours of September 8.

A police source said detectives were investigating Mr Huxley’s relationship with up to 14 women that he had some form of involvement with.

Homicide police again confirmed they had no prime suspect as about 30 Public Order and Riot Squad police conducted an evidence search on Thursday morning.

Mr Huxley was last seen having a schooner of beer at the Oaks Hotel on Military Road after spending the afternoon at a friend’s engagement party on the lower north shore.

The barefoot 31-year-old entered the hotel’s Ben Boyd Road entrance at 1.01am. He sat by himself at a table in the saloon bar before leaving at 1.30am.

Less than 90 minutes later his Irish flatmate Jean Redmond found him suffering from more than a dozen stab wounds. Police said she was at home at the time but did not believe she had any involvement in Mr Huxley’s death.

The evidence search spanned several streets of Neutral Bay and Cremorne.

“Police are conducting a routine ground search in the Neutral Bay area as part of their ongoing inquires into the death of Morgan Huxley,” a police spokesman said.

Officers in teams of four were looking in letterboxes, garbage bins, drainpipes and using torches to look in garden beds and car parks. Some of the streets and parks were almost three kilometres away from the unit Mr Huxley was killed in.

At one point, four officers crouched over a gutter and took photos of what appeared to be a wet glove on Ben Boyd Road.

They used sticks and garden hoes to lift up branches and green litter on pavements and search through parks.

Torches were shone down every visible drainpipe and some officers inspected the bases of trees.

At 10am several teams were concentrating on busy roads including Bannerman and Murdoch streets and Wycombe and Rangers roads.

The riot squad based their search in Prior Avenue Reserve near Cremorne Point and close to Sydney Harbour. They set up their search just before 9am and coordinated the search out of several black 4WDs parked on the reserve.

Many residents looked alarmed as the officers in navy suits walked up and down the streets of the usually quiet harbourside suburb.

The former Hunters Hill High School student was farewelled at a funeral service on Tuesday. He was described as a loyal friend and a family man who had a strong passion for boats and cars.

POLICE have gathered DNA samples from the bedroom where Neutral Bay man Morgan Huxley was killed, in hopes they can now match them against murder suspects.

Police would not reveal yesterday how many men or women had been asked to voluntarily provide a DNA sample which would then rule them in or out of the high-profile murder investigation.

It is understood some of the 14 women Mr Huxley was romantically linked to at the time of his death will be required to provide a DNA sample.

More than two weeks since the 31-year-old businessman was killed, homicide detectives have narrowed their focus to several people who are considered persons of interest in his death.

Detectives would only comment yesterday to say they were “progressing” with the hunt for Mr Huxley’s killer.

Mr Huxley was stabbed 28 times and left for dead in the bedroom of his Watson St unit, in the early hours of September 8.

A forensic investigation of the crime scene revealed several DNA samples which are vital to the investigation and could identify his attacker.

It is not unusual for police to request DNA samples from people during the course of murder investigations. Samples are usually submitted in the form of a saliva swab.

It is understood that Jessica Orcsik, the 28-year-old daughter of Australian actor Paula Duncan who dated Mr Huxley earlier this year, has not been asked to provide a DNA sample to police.

The Daily Telegraph revealed last week that Ms Orcsik, a St Leonards dance teacher, had told friends she believed a female was responsible for Mr Huxley’s killing.

Ms Orcsik gave a statement to police in the days after Mr Huxley’s murder.

When asked why she thought that, Ms Orcsik said “I just know that Morgan wasn’t the type to make enemies”.

Since the gruesome murder, police have focused largely on the likelihood Mr Huxley’s killer was a female, and possibly a scorned lover.

The handsome man was stabbed three times in the neck and then dozens more times on his back, in a frenzied attack, sometime between 1.30 and 3am.

Police said Mr Huxley’s flat mate Jean Redmond, who discovered him semi-conscious and called Triple-0, has an alibi and is not considered a person of interest.

Her boyfriend Ertan Ucar, whom Ms Redmond called when she discovered Mr Huxley lying in a pool of blood, is not to have been involved either, police said.

He was a handsome man. Why are they calling him "ladies man"? Just because he was good looking and the ladies liked him?

Grr, chronological is becoming tricky with all the updates to articles - they might be a little out ...

Still no prime suspect in north shore stabbing death

    September 19, 2013

Police say they are yet to pinpoint a prime suspect in the stabbing death of Neutral Bay man Morgan Huxley.

''We don't have any suspects. [We are] working through all the people in his life, associates, just people from his life and going through them methodically and getting statements from them,'' a senior detective said.

The officer said it was likely Mr Huxley knew the person who stabbed him in his Watson Street unit early on September 8.

''It's a methodical, slow process of just identifying all the witnesses and taking statements from them. It's not like you see on television,'' the officer said.

He said police were looking at a number of people who knew the small business owner but ''no one in particular''.

Police do not think his flatmate Jean Redmond had any involvement. She found the 31-year-old in his bedroom about 3am suffering from more than a dozen stab wounds. A source said he was not wearing pants.

Ms Redmond and her boyfriend Ertan Ucar were among the mourners at Mr Huxley's funeral service on Tuesday.

Police conducted a ''forensic review'' of items taken from Mr Huxley's flat as his friends and family said goodbye at his funeral.

The popular small businessman was described as a good mate and a loving family man who entertained all who knew him.

His former long-term girlfriend Jessica Hall said she had spent the happiest days of her life with Mr Huxley since meeting him at school.

In a note read out at the service, his brother Oliver Huxley vowed to find his sibling some justice.

Police have picked out several key exhibits

Despite not having a prime suspect, police were making progress. ''We are pushing on with

Mr Huxley was seen at the Oaks Hotel on Military Road 90 minutes before his death. He was also seen walking along Military Road.

Reporters do the "shock, horror, not near my incredibly exclusive suburb" thing

Inside the shocking murder of the North Shore Casanova Morgan HuxleyCLEMENTINE CUNEO POLICE REPORTER THE DAILY TELEGRAPH SEPTEMBER 21, 2013 12:00AM

BARE-FOOT and in his signature laid-back style, Morgan Huxley wandered into his local pub for a nightcap.

The suave 31-year-old was well-known by bar staff at The Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay, who would see him several times a week.

Bar staff said he never caused any problems, and never drank to excess. He was charming, amusing, popular but unassuming. He didn't command attention, people were just drawn to him, friends and strangers alike.

It was close to 1am when he arrived, on September 8, and the pub was due to close in 30-minutes. Mr Huxley had been at a friend's engagement party earlier in the day, and after getting dropped home in a cab, he walked over the road for one more drink.

Highlights from the federal election the day before were playing on the pub's televisions, so Mr Huxley, 31, rested against his usual bar table and caught up on the news as he drank his beer.

"From memory, he might have had one more drink when we called last drinks…then he left," a bar staff member said.

Morgan Huxley with ex-girlfriend Jess Hall / Picture: Supplied Source: Supplied That half-hour stint at the pub has been vital over the past almost fortnight in helping NSW Police Homicide detectives from Strike Force Bandt piece together Mr Huxley's interactions and whereabouts in the lead up to his murder.

Surveillance footage from inside and outside the pub has given police the exact times and movements of Mr Huxley, as well as helping identify other people who may have been in the area who may hold crucial information.

His torturous death has transfixed Sydney. How does a hardworking, decent young man get brutally in an up-market north shore suburb, where even petty crime is relatively low, let alone murder?

Morgan Huxley with Jess Hall / Picture: Supplied Source: Supplied From the Ben Boyd Rd side exit of the pub, Mr Huxley walked around into Military Rd. He crossed at a set of lights outside Stir Crazy Thai restaurant, which almost took him to Watson St where he lived. From there it was less than 50m to his front door.

Sometime within the next 90-minutes, although police believe it could possibly be closer to 60-minutes, Mr Huxley was repeatedly stabbed almost 30 times.

Associate Professor of Criminology at Queensland's Bond University, Dr Wayne Petherick, said the description of the injuries sustained by Mr Huxley indicated his killing was "very deliberate and very angry".

He said three stab wounds in the neck indicates a victim was either lying down or sitting when they were lunged at.

"Three in the same location on the body is a very fast attacked. He's been stabbed a third time before he's even registered what's happening," Dr Petherick said.

The slaughter which confronted his flat mate Jean Redmond when she went to investigate a strange sound, will haunt the Irish-born physiotherapist for the rest of her life.

She had just arrived home from a girls night, and soon after walking in the front door of the unit, she told police she was startled by a "gargling" sound and an agonising moan coming from Mr Huxley's room.

Curled up on the floor beside his bed was a semiconscious Mr Huxley. He was bleeding profusely from three gaping holes in his neck and blood was pooling beneath him. He was naked from the waist down, wearing nothing but a t-shirt.

The Triple-0 call to the NSW Ambulance Service sounded so serious that three crews responded. The initial call stated a man was suffering 30 stab wounds to his back and neck. Police would later discover it was 28 wounds - 3 large and deep penetrating wounds to the same side of his neck, then dozens of small stab and slash wounds to his back.

When paramedics got to Mr Huxley, he was already in cardiac arrest. With time imperative, four paramedics jumped in the back of the ambulance and worked on the dying man as they raced to Royal North Shore Hospital, under a police escort.

But despite their best efforts, and those of emergency doctors at the hospital, Mr Huxley died soon after arriving.

JUST days after the Sunday morning killing, police were confident Mr Huxley's murder could be a female.

The Daily Telegraph understands there was evidence on the dead man's body and in his bedroom which has indicated to detectives that a female could have been behind the horrific slaughter.

"Some of the worst things I have ever seen have been done by women who are small ... people assume it can't be a woman who's done things like this, but it can," Dr Petherick said.

He said the attack on Mr Huxley was symptomatic of a personality disorder and given he was found partly naked, Dr Petherick said it sounded as if he could have had sexual intercourse and then a fight.

B]Morgan Huxley's tangled web of women - detectives quiz 14 female acquaintances of stabbing victimEXCLUSIVE CLEMENTINE CUNEO THE DAILY TELEGRAPH SEPTEMBER 20, 2013 12:00AM

A TANGLED network of up to 14 women connected to Morgan Huxley is being investigated by detectives determined to find a breakthrough in the murder of the Neutral Bay "ladies man".

Homicide detectives are believed to be examining the backgrounds of women who may have had romantic links to Mr Huxley in the lead-up to his September 8 death.

Officers are trying to determine the nature of each woman's involvement with the 31-year-old business owner, and whether they had any motive to harm him.

POLICE STEP UP THE HUNT FOR MORGAN'S KILLER

They are believed to be concentrating their efforts on the likelihood his killer was a woman - possibly a jilted lover or "femme fatale" who was known to him.

Despite insisting they don't have a firm suspect, police are yet to make a public appeal for information about the murder.

Detectives have been sifting through Mr Huxley's extensive mobile phone records to identify the people he had contact with.

His internet activity - including social media interaction - is also being thoroughly investigated.

OPEN DOOR TO HORROR IN THE MURDER OF MORGAN

"It is standard procedure to look at all the people the victim was involved with ... in this case we have identified up to 14 women who we need to rule in or out," a police source said.

A post mortem carried out on Mr Huxley's body has given police clues about the weapon used, as well as specific information relating to his attacker.

It is understood a murder weapon has not been found.

The Daily Telegraph has been told Mr Huxley suffered three large and significant stab wounds to one side of his neck, as well as dozens of "small and shallow" wounds to his back.

SHORT TRIP HOME ENDED IN A BLOODBATH

Police are still awaiting detailed scientific and DNA analysis of the crime scene to work out who may have been in Mr Huxley's bedroom moments before he was killed, which can be indicated through the presence of blood belonging to someone other than the victim.

Police sources said the apartment bedroom in which Mr Huxley was attacked was a "pretty messy scene".

Although the blood was only present in Mr Huxley's bedroom, the kitchen area of the small unit was closely examined by forensic officers in case the murder weapon had come from there.

Even 12 days on since the baffling murder, Mr Huxley's apartment remains a crime scene, with police returning to it yesterday to collect more evidence. '

HUXLEY'S LOVER FEARS A KILLER ON THE LOOSE

A neighbour said there had been police officers coming and going from the unit "pretty much every day" since Mr Huxley was killed.

"They don't say much ... one day they just took some mail away. It's as if they're just keeping check on the place, more than looking for more clues," the neighbour said.

Mr Huxley was attacked some time between 1.30am - when he arrived home after walking from his local pub, The Oaks Hotel at Neutral Bay - and just before 3am, when his flatmate Jean Redmond found him dying on the bedroom floor.

Ms Redmond, an Irish physiotherapist, called triple-0 at 3.01am when she discovered Mr Huxley bleeding to death. She then called her boyfriend Ertan Ucar, police said.

Police said Mr Ucar, a Turkish national, is not considered a suspect, as investigations have established an alibi for him when the crime took place. Ms Redmond has also been cleared of any involvement in her flatmate and friend's death, with police confirming her whereabouts before she arrived home.

The Daily Telegraph yesterday revealed Sydney dance teacher Jessica Orcsik, the daughter of actors Paula Duncan and John Orcsik, had told friends she was confident a woman had killed her former lover Mr Huxley.

Ms Orcsik and Mr Huxley dated earlier this year, and remained close friends.

After Ms Orcsik's theory about the killer was made public, she cancelled classes at her St Leonards dance school for the remainder of the week

Someone in the media has it in for Jessica Orcsik, they're going out of their way to post the worst pix they can get of her in later articles - she probably refused to do an exclusive

Since the gruesome murder, police have focused largely on the likelihood Mr Huxley?s killer was a female, and possibly a scorned lover.

A MUCH LATER EDIT - for anyone new to the thread or re-reading - be wary of the media slant on this case. The more I've read the more I've noticed that the whole "14 women" thing is implied an awful lot but there doesn't seem to have been anything factual to support the idea that he was seeing more than one girlfriend at a time.

Literally no-one interviewed has had a bad word to say about the guy - not even the supposed "mutiple" girlfriends. If he was the person journo's are making him out to be, there'd have to be a few people saying he was a two-timing jerk - even if it was off the record. That's not happening here. His friends & family have closed ranks on their journalist neighbours & the journo's aren't taking the rejection well - the "BOOTY CALL MURDER" headlines are the result.

Oh, so he was seeing all 14 ladies at the same time right before his murder? Wow, yeah. I would be upset if I found out I was not the only one, but I would be furious if I found out I was one of 1muthafuckin 4 . Not enough to kill him, though. I would also feel sorry for him that he thinks so little of himself that he needs 14 girls to fill whatever void he has in his life. That's how I feel about players like that.

These sort of headlines aren't common down here, especially when the journo's concerned have links to the friends/family - which they do, because of the tv industry links & the suburbs they live in - so a lot of this can probably be put down to a journalist pissed off at being denied a scoop.

Morgan Huxley murder 'booty call' linkCLEMENTINE CUNEO THE SUNDAY TELEGRAPH SEPTEMBER 21, 2013 10:00PM

THE killer of Morgan Huxley may have attacked him while he was having sex, police believe.

In what they say may have been a "booty call" gone wrong, investigators have revealed Mr Huxley had taken part in sexual activity shortly before being stabbed 28 times.

A forensic investigation of the bedroom where the Neutral Bay businessman was found bleeding to death has uncovered evidence of sexual activity.

Inside the shocking murder of the North Shore Casanova Morgan Huxley

Officers are now waiting for blood tests and a toxicology report to determine when exactly the attack happened. They believe adrenalin levels can indicate the likelihood Mr Huxley had been sexually aroused before his death.

Mr Huxley, 31, was discovered fighting for his life by his Irish flatmate Jean Redmond in the early hours of September 8 wearing just a T-shirt and naked from the waist down. Police have identified up to 14 women he was romantically linked to in the lead up to his death.

Police hunt for Morgan's killer as ex-girlfriend claims he was murdered by a woman

One woman has revealed she received a text from Mr Huxley just days before his death asking her to come over, but she declined. The woman has since given a statement to detectives.

Homicide detectives are now looking at whether the murder was a "booty call" - a pre-arranged, late-night sex date with an acquaintance -that went wrong.

"It could be he took the wrong girl home, we don't know," a police source said. "We are just waiting to get all the forensic material back, then we will know exactly what has occurred."

He spent the afternoon and evening before his murder at a friend's engagement party. Most of his friends have gone to ground, yesterday deactivating their Facebook accounts.

Open door to horror in the murder of Morgan Huxley

He was dropped home in a taxi at 12.30am, then wandered over the road to The Oaks Hotel for a beer, walking in there moments after 1am. Police are looking at the possibility Mr Huxley let a woman into his unit and left her there while he went for a quick drink, or whether he had a drink while waiting for a female to arrive at his place.

There was no forced entry at the unit and police are confident Mr Huxley knew his killer.

While a female killer remains the strongest line of inquiry, police said they are still "open-minded" about the investigation.

Morgan Huxley's tangled web of women

Mr Huxley was stabbed three times in the neck, then knifed dozens of times on his back.

Mr Huxley had no shortage of female admirers. The Facebook pages of his friends were adorned with photos of him at parties and with good-looking women.
Morgan Huxley was aroused before killing, police say

Police are investigating whether the murder Sydney man Morgan Huxley was a case of a ‘booty call’ gone wrong after forensic evidence revealed he may have been having sex just before being stabbed 28 times.

Adrenaline levels indicate the 31-year-old businessman was sexually aroused before being killed and police are now awaiting blood tests and toxicology reports to determine exactly when the attack happened, The Sunday Telegraph reports.

The latest evidence comes after ex-girlfriend Jessica Orcsik, 28, daughter of actress Paula Duncan, told police she is certain that his

    attacker was a woman.

Mr Huxley had been romantically linked to up to 14 women in the lead-up to his death.

He had visited the Oaks Hotel in Neutral Bay for a drink

He was found in his flat about an hour later by his Irish flatmate, Jean Redmond, wearing a t-shirt and naked from the waist down as he bled from his barrage of stab wounds on his neck and back, and later died.

Associate Professor of Criminology at Queensland's Bond University, Dr Wayne Petherick, has told The Daily Telegraph that his injuries indicate the killing was "very deliberate and very angry" and Mr Huxley was lying or sitting when lunged at.

"It could be he took the wrong girl home," an unnamed police source told the newspaper.

Last one for the moment -
    http://m.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/...-1226725564135

Her boyfriend Ertan Ucar, whom Ms Redmond called when she discovered Mr Huxley lying in a pool of blood, is not thought to have been involved either, police said.

DETECTIVES hunting for the killer of Neutral Bay ladies man Morgan Huxley are focusing on footage captured outside a newsagent, hoping it might reveal the movements of the murder suspect.

Homicide detectives returned yesterday to a set of shops in Neutral Bay, only a few blocks down the hill from the unit where Mr Huxley, 31, was stabbed to death more than two weeks ago.

A staff member at the Clark Rd newsagent said detectives were interested in all the vision from the night Mr Huxley was brutally murdered, sometime in the early hours of September 8.

“They wanted the footage from the whole night … they looked at it in my shop on the television, and then they took it away,” he said.

The staff member said it was the second time police had visited his shop and nearby businesses since first canvassing the area the week that Mr Huxley was killed.

“I don’t know why they have come back … but there’s been a lot of police around here lately,” he said.

It has been 19 days since Mr Huxley was stabbed 28 times and left for dead in his Watson St apartment.

He was stabbed three times in the same side of his neck, then dozens more times all over his back.

Police still have not made any public appeals for information about the murder, indicating they already have a suspect and don’t need help in identifying the killer.

It is understood police have information that the killer fled towards the Clark Rd shops and a local park after leaving Mr Huxley bleeding to death on his bedroom floor.

An employee at the Camperdown Cellars just a few doors along from the newsagent said detectives had also visited his business yesterday to review his security vision.

“Something really weird is going on,” the employee said.

The set of shops is in the same area where up to 30 public order and riot squad officers carried out an evidence search last week. It is across the road from Anderson Park where officers spent hours last Thursday scouring through bushes and in public rubbish bins.

Police would not comment on why they were focusing on the shops or that area of the upmarket north shore suburb, other than to say it was “part of the investigation”.

Detectives have interviewed dozens of people connected to the boating maintenance business owner, including many women he was romantically involved with at the time of his death.

They might as well throw in a quick STD test while they're at it.
