WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA.com) ? A 23-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly giving a fatal dose of heroin to a 13-year-old boy in Woodland Hills.
Brett Cronin was arrested and booked for murder in connection with the death, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He's behind bars in Van Nuys in lieu of $1 million bail.
The incident happened around 9:10 a.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 5300 block of Manton Avenue.
Fire officials found the deceased teenage boy with no signs for cause of death.
Officers later determined Cronin administered the heroin, according to the LAPD's Richard French.
The suspect's motive is unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
