I'm gonna have to agree with this link. Hell, if my kid had wanted to go to the midnight movie, and was totally totally in love with Batman, I may have taken her. "Whats a 3 month old doing there?" Like the parents knew what was going to happen??
The argument that a 3 month old was at the theater is seperate from the shooting. No one should be talking during a movie and you can't control a 3 month old from crying. For someone to bring a 3 month old to a nearly 3 hour long movie makes them an asshat. Even if you take the screaming 3 month old out of the movie you're still inconveniencing others. Asshats.

I sent you a friend request because I wanna see. I'm nosy.

I have seen the future and I'm fairly relieved to say, it looks nothing like me.

It's not victim shaming at all. There's a difference between taking a child who is in love with Batman to go see the movie versus a 3 month old who has no concept of being there. Basically, any parent taking a kid under the age of 3 to a movie is pretty obnoxious to everyone involved. They could have sprung for a babysitter or waited a few weeks until a weekday afternoon showing. I can't really see how a loud action movie is going to be that safe for an infants ears, anyway.

Edit: Cap'n beat me too it. Sorry for repeating basically what you already said, buddy.

She is obviously in a lot of pain because she once saw a movie at that same theater!

I think she is just upset this happened. She may have taken bowie's post the wrong way, but I can understand where she is coming from.

At some point in her life. I know that girl IRL. She lived there years ago. I mean, I lived right down the block from where some weirdo shot someone pretty much all my life because I live in a city. Something bad happens everywhere. it was stupid. And I wasn't belittling anything.

Captain is right. You are an asshole if you take a 3 month old to any movie, especially one at 12 that gets out at 3 am.

You slept with mike so he would ban me. change your sig..the pretentious look how hipster face is so old ooh you like guys with glasses..ooooh

Kudos to the police and rescue, they did very well. This audio is sad.

I agree with you completely. I just know that there are going to be people out there who are going to blame the movie, and/or video games that have violence. It's stupid. Nobody forced the gun in his hand, and nobody forced him to shoot up a movie theater like a fucking mad man. And I think it's stupid that people are defriending you...you have a right to your opinion!

Thanks for the link. This one is pretty sad...

From victim Jessica Redfield: "Never thought I'd have to coerce a guy into seeing the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises with me."

Then later, "@darrelrubin actually won the argument. he's going! WIN!!!"

So, I don't know if Twitter just annoys me, but the use of hashtags while in the midst of 'reporting' a tragic event is obnoxious.

"I wish i could get a pic of all the cops i see two bodies get carried out #crazyworld"

"Shooting at aurora movie theater #freakingout :/"

agreed and: defriending is the stupidest way to make a point.

i just have to shake my head at people who constantly blame random violent incidents on media. i'm a huge fan of violence on screen, in games and in books! never felt like shooting anyone. perhaps if i was also crazy, it would be a different story - but i think it's crap trying to blanket the whole genre on account of someone nut-jobs actions.

i'm assuming the important word in your statement regarding weapons is 'automatic', right bowie? i that case, i totally agree! if, however, you're referring to limiting or revoking access to guns in general, i'm thinking that falls into the whole 'blanketing on account of a dumb-ass' category. shooting at things/not people is oodles of fun.

i saw on the tv that they are being more cautious about which costumes to allow into theaters... i'm glad they aren't just banning it all together - i love teh cosplayers!

well, ok! but let's see what happens when i do...... this!

Someone on reddit said the 3 month old wasn't actually hit at all, but that the parents took the kid into the hospital because there were gases released and just wanted to make sure she wasn't injured by that. I just saw on the news another family that had an infant in the theater, along with a 4 year old.
I get that this is super sad and serious, but you would think it was 9/11 part deux the way the media is covering this shit. One eyewitness even compared the police presence to 9/11. No.

Well, this news story is all over the place but I am extremely against selling weapons that are easily modified and totally designed to kill lots of people. Not all guns in general but those types.

I don't want to speculate too much on this until it's calmed down because I think we're getting a lot of inaccurate information. I did hear that the emergency exits weren't locked from the outside.

Sad that the lawsuits will begin as soon as the dust settles. Wonder how many Chris Nolan's going to get. he should redirect them all to Bruce Wayne. That guy can afford it.
