City boy. Probably never did any hunting before he got to the theater.

Meh all these fuckers change their stories around to keep an audience. Even if at some point he says what was true at the time, we will never know it from the 87 other stories and versions he will tell.

Irish heroine of Batman shooting spree drowns

    Thursday August 16 2012

US president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle paid tribute to Jenny and her colleagues who are credited with saving the lives of some of those injured in the massacre.

PHD student James Holmes has been charged in relation to the shootings which left 12 people dead.

However, her family has now been plunged into a sense of grief of their own. Jenny was out swimming in a lake close to her home when she is believed to have drowned.

Her husband Greg Pinson and five-year-old son Jack are struggling to come to terms with the loss of a "wonderful mother".

    Heartbroken

Her mother Brigid, who was unable to fly to Denver for the funeral, added: "I am heartbroken, it is just terrible, terrible. She was such a wonderful person who was just so full of life and a wonderful mother who loved Jack so much," she said.

"I will miss her so much. Her brothers and sisters went over for the funeral and we had a little mass for her here. She could light up a room when she walked into it."

Jenny studied to be a nurse in Denver in the nineties and decided to settle there.

She was a GAA fanatic and founded the Denver Gaels ladies football club.

The club posted an emotional tribute on its website, describing Jenny as a "loving and devoted mother" and a "proud Meath woman".

"Every team has its ups and downs, its wins and losses ... the Pinson and Gallagher families, the Gaels and our Irish community suffered a great loss. Jennifer Gallagher passed on, leaving a wake of sorrow, sadness and loving memories.

"When you met Jenny she brightened up your day and wanted to know how you were doing. Others always came first in the most natural and sincere way.

"In her vocation as a nurse, she cared for those with most acute needs in the burn unit, the ER and most recently was recognized for her work with the Aurora shooting victims by President Obama. We were all very proud of her"

A special memorial mass is due to take place in Duleek on August 26.

Wait was she there? It sounds like she was one of the nurses at the hospital not actually present at the theater....

Ya, I didn't get it. And someone had to say Final Destination, that's the rule. But I thought she was there.

She wasn't at the theater but at the hospital and drowned on vacation later on.

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.1140376

A nurse who treated victims of the "Dark Night Rises" theater massacre in Aurora, Colo., has drowned while on a family vacation in Iowa.
Jennifer Gallagher, 46, of Denver went swimming in West Lake Okoboji the night of Aug. 6 and her body was found the next day.
The Denver Post reports that Gallagher helped care for victims taken to University of Colorado Hospital and was among the staffers who met with President Barack Obama during his visit.
Gallagher's husband, Greg Pinson, told the Irish newspaper The Herald that she had moved from Ireland to the U.S. in the 1990s, attending school to become a nurse.
"She was brilliant at helping people get through their illnesses. She loved treating people who were in bad situations - it's the type of person she was," Pinson told the Herald.
"She wasn't a very strong swimmer and I suppose she just wasn't able to stay afloat," Pinson added.

geez, is it just me and my big heart, or would i rather have had the paper, or the media, send her mom, and bro to her funeral and make a story on that. what a shame... so a woman that cared for the victims of the shooting - who otherwise would have a blurb in the local paper, is getting national articles, but no one can get her mom and bro to her funeral. that is fucking sad.

I think her siblings were able to fly over from Ireland. Maybe her mother couldn't make the long trip for health reasons. Either way, it's terribly sad.

(CBS News) Alleged Aurora, Colo, shooter James Holmes met with not one, but at least three mental health professionals at the University of Colorado prior to the massacre. How long he met with each one and the depth of their involvement is not clear, but it adds to the picture of Holmes being clearly on their radar in the time period leading up to the shootings. When contacted by CBS News, school spokesperson Jacque Montgomery declined comment, citing a judge's gag order.

At the University of Colorado Anschutz Campus, James Holmes had been a PhD student in neuroscience. But last June, he dropped out and was buying guns. Before he left this campus, he had seen at least three mental health professionals associated with student mental health services.

Only one name has been publicly disclosed: Dr. Lynne Fenton, who is subpoenaed to appear in court in the Holmes case. At issue is a package mailed by Holmes to her and recovered in the campus mail room three days after the shootings. Holmes lawyers say it is priviledged material. Legal analyst Raj Chohan says they want to prevent the prosecution from using it, and have it turned over to them now.

"The defense is going to have every opportunity to present a competent defense and that means Mr, Holmes is going to be able to gain access to all the documents he may have put out there and authored himself," Chohan said.

That includes Holmes medical records. His name was brought to the attention of the university's Behavior Evaluation and Threat Assessment team or BETA for short. A flow chart released by the university shows guidelines for action that could be followed if a person is deemed a direct threat.

University of Colorado campus police were contacted at least for a background check on Holmes, but what happened from there is not clear.

Dr. Richard Martinez, a director of forensic psychiatry with Denver Health Medical Center, said: "At the moment you determine that there is a credible threat here, a credible possibility, the duty to warn is triggered if you will."

She was at her place of work, performing her job function. I don't want to diminish the importance or value of nursing, but heroic actions are supposed to be something extraordinary. Not just doin' your job.
    That being said, RIP Jenny.

I have seen the future and I'm fairly relieved to say, it looks nothing like me.

Yeah. If she had crawled through the tear gas carrying a baby (not her own) she'd be a hero... ER staff deal with injured crime victims every day and that's really what she did.

After the ESB shooting last friday Mayor Bloomberg cut off a reporter who called a construction worker a hero. He was like "No, no, no, people love to say someone is a hero. He saw something, and he said something, and he alerted the police who are equipted to handle these things. He's not a hero for doing the right thing. "

Of course the police he alerted went on to shoot several bystanders, but that's another story.
