Not at all. That was your schedule and you both adapted to it. It's not like you were keeping her up till all hours of the morning and then getting her up at 8 am.

just to throw this up here before i forget... as cnn was closing out one segment and going to the next, the reporter makes this comment:

and we'll be here, continuing coverage, for as long as we deem this event. to. be. newsworthy...

i couldn't believe how callous this comment came off as!

The minute you said "I was a single mom" your situation became completely unrelated to this couple of asshats anyway. Not to mention, it is just NOT AN ESSENTIAL to go to a midnight screening. Just not. When we have kids, we don't always get to do what we want anymore.

well, i must say, it's probably a little paraphrased but that's what i took away from it. he did actually trail off that way though - almost like he was regretting saying it as it came out! my guess is maybe he's with so many other people who are questioning why this is getting round the clock coverage and he's more than a little over covering it but brain-farted long enough to say something pretty insensitive.

reporters are human - if anything, it did cause an amazed chuckle in me.

My mom will always talk about right after the Jim Jones thing, the reporter who was talking about it on the news turned to the sports guy after concluding his statement and said "So, any good massacres in sports lately?"

I agree 100%. I would never take my kids to a grown-up movie, especially that late. My kids need their sleep, and I KNOW they would be whiney the whole time. Any tired child would be. When I saw Paranormal Activity 3 in the theatre, someone brought their child. Uh hello??? Baby was crying even. I did more than side eye them...I turned my ass around and said "Uh, maybe you should take the baby out of here as you are ruining the movie for everyone else who paid for it" Her baby daddy tried to get all thug about it and threaten to beat my ass, but they finally left. What a bunch of fucking losers.

I think there is another one, but I can't remember his name. I can't remember if he died or was wounded. He is from Forest, Ohio. I will try to find out the 411

The guy from Forest, Ohio wasn't killed. He was injured by shrapnel and was viewing the movie in the auditorium next to the one were the shooter was.

I don't know if this was posted yet but Chris Nolan made a pretty awesome statement:
"I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime. The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me."

Nah. YEsterday someone started that at lunch and my coworker was like 'Yeah, my dad was a weapons expert for the FBI. In a pitch black theater full of smoke in a shooting that lasted less than two minutes, all that would have happened is more people would have been killed.' It was what I said all along but since I'm a girl my opinion is moo.

Poor choice of words, Tom Hardy. Gah.

Those aren't his words. That's just the journalist's. And odds are it was written before this happened.
